They serve great tasting and relatively healthy Latin American food here. The food is made fresh on the spot at all times. My favorite dishes are the lemon chicken breast plate and the mango salad. The lemon chicken breasts consists of flattened chicken breasts drenched with a citrus sauce and melted cheese on top. The sides can be Spanish rice, vegetables mashed potatoes or pan fried potatoes. I like to go with rice and/or the potatoes. This is my favorite dish!!! The mango salad consists of chopped up mangos (of course!!!), chicken, avocados, lettuce and tomatoes. This is an extremely tasty, yet healthy option. The restaurant looks like a hole in the wall and very unimpressive. It looks dead at times that I've got orders to go. Don't be fooled though. Wow my experience with this place was pretty sad to say the least although my very first visit and my initial review would be five stars; Here's how they lost it 1. The hours are only for lunch and are also most of the time closed because of their catering business 2. They only have one cook that is there for catering purposes only and not there when catering is taking place 3. Mainly this place is only for catering for the Latino Community, I don't think it really serves as an open restaurant 4. I say mainly Latino because there's only one individual that speaks English and the other three visits I have never been addressed by anyone else. When I visited the restaurant when I didn't see that familiar gentleman that mainly works, I was not greeted.... by anyone. 5. I tried to call in my order over the phone two times the first time no one answered the phone 6. The second time I tried to call in my order, the guy actually took my order and said his cook was on his way back from a delivery and he said he would call me when the order was ready, I never got a call. - Sidenote: My boyfriend and I were waiting for my food for over an hour and I never received a phone call to tell me that the order was not going to be ready or unable to be made. 7. Jose (the owner) does an amazing job at creating healthy and delicious plates. My husband first introduced me to this place when we started dating. Years later we found ourselves using Jose/Dante's Cafe for our wedding. He catered a wedding for 200 people without a problem. The food was delicious, warm, well proportioned, and presented elegantly; he and his staff looked elegant in all black attire as they catered the memorable night. Jose's knowledge and professionalism went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined on that special day. Not only is he great for catering, he is also great at feeding you a delicious meal on a regular basis! ALL OF HIS FOOD IS FRESH. So what does that mean? That each plate will taste AMAZING and will be GOOD FOR YOU: no frozen products!!! He takes pride in his work so when you get a plate, you can rest assured that you will get quality food. A hidden gem of a place that definitely needs more love. My husband and I ate here and had a great time! The mango salad was amazing, with perhaps the juiciest, sweetest mango I have ever tasted mixed in with delicious bits of avocado, chicken, tomato and lettuce. The lemon chicken was also delicious and hearty, with a very yummy side order of mashed potatoes. Just two dishes (plus the complimentary chips and two types of salsa) were enough to fill us over many, many times. The amount of food you get for the price you pay is amazing! The restaurant itself is not much too look at but it's clean and the servers are incredibly nice. Yay dante's! our office is very nearby and has meetings a few times a week that requires catering. dante's is the BEST of them all for catering! i also eat their food for my personal lunches on a regular basis and the owner is very down-to-earth and service-oriented. It comes with yummy roasted veggies a light dressing and lotsa chunks of well-seasoned moist chicken breast. their fresh juices are incredible as well. all very very well done. I've ate here a handful of times. My son LOVES their chicken linguine. The first time I came here must have been one of the few times someone was able to take our order... it was about 3-4 years ago. And I remember ordering online, and we went there to pick up (about 20 min after we placed the order) and still had to wait about 40 minutes to receive our orders. As noted earlier, my son LOVES their linguine. He begs me to make a trip there every time we go to our dentist (who is in the next block). We've gone TWICE after our dentist appt, and one time, there was a closed sign (12pm) and the 2nd time, the door was open, and you could hear that someone was inside, so we waited - a man finally came out but told us he was the only guy there and he had to go to a catering job. My most recent experience was last month. I placed an order through here (grubhub) and the order was placed, received my confirmation that they received my order (again this is during our dental appt) and all I had to do now was wait for my order to finish cooking. We went there to pick it up, and SAME THING... there was a man inside who told my son that they were closed. LUCKILY i was already skeptical and didn't pay for my food thru the site and opted to pay at pick up. I will end this with: the food is undoubtedly BOMB. I've ordered their mango chicken salad before and some other chicken dish that I can't remember off the top of my head. The food is delicious, however their hours of operation are unstable. I think my recent experience was the icing on the cake. I suggest to just call ahead of time before you go in, don't go there expecting them to be open for business to cook your food, and DONT use yelp/grubhub to order, and if you do, be sure you pay when you arrive. - however I wouldn't recommend this either, because at this point, you're waiting to have food in your belly and might be left hangry and disappointed. read more

Dante's Cafe food spot is one of a kind place. The owner Jose knows what food is all about. The lemon chicken dish is my fav, but I also like eating the Alfredo Pasta .
