We attended a private event. The service was stellar. The food selection was perfect. They are also very accommodating to allergies. Very attentive. I would love to go back for the restaurant side.

I've been here before and loved it but was disappointed with my last visit. This time the service was very slow from the kitchen. When the entrees did finally come out I was again disappointed. The Spanish Frittata was massive - it was a big circle and probably a half inch thick. But I think it's thickness was its demise. It was very well done and dense. All the ingredients listed on the menu (chorizo, peppers, fingerling potatoes) were all mixed into the frittata, which I think contributed to them dishes problems. There was a tiny pile of greens on top. I wouldn't order this again.

French toast. It wasn't that good. Very doughy

This really falls between a 2 and 3 star review for me, but since the descriptor on Yelp for 2 stars is "Meh, I've experienced better," I'm gonna go with a 2. We were looking for a brunch place in CLE and a few of the places we wanted to go to had long waits (that's what we get for not making reservations on a Sunday!). We got on Yelp and my brother-in-law suggested Dante Next Door. I looked up some of the pics and it looked good. They also had an opening via Open Table, so I booked it! When we got there, we were seated right away but after over ten minutes, no one had come by to even say anything. We had our menus down and kept looking at every person who walked past our table (and there was a lot of wait staff!). Finally I grabbed a guy and told him we had been waiting over ten mins. He was very nice, apologized and said he was new. He very quickly got our order in. I ordered the French Toast since I had been craving that! I felt like it took awhile for our food to come out. Again, it might have been an average time but the additional ten minutes we sat there could have made it feel longer than it was. Our food came out and everything was just meh. The french toast I got wasn't that great. It was very "doughy." Also, the maple syrup that came with it was only halfway filled up. My sister and I shared a side of home fries and that was good, but I had no idea it was $9! (I must not have been looking at the menu correctly). That should be no more than $6! So good potatoes, but a rip off. The manager also came over two times while we were eating and apologized to us for the wait. He was very nice (as was our waiter) so that's why I kind of feel bad rating them a 2, but the food just wasn't that great and my sister and brother-in-law agreed. All told, I don't think I'd go back unless someone else really wanted to go here.

Came here for brunch and I am so glad I did. I got the pasta carbonara fritatta while my friends got the strawberry shortcake pancakes and the benedict. We also decided to share an order of their duck fat potatoes. So for starters, the duck fat potatoes were out of this world. Seriously. They were flavorful fingerling potatoes paired with a tangy rich sauce. The sauce was so good that my friend bought a bottle of it to take home. My carbonara frittata could have used some improvement. I didn't like how dense it was. I felt the eggs could have been softer and fluffier. However, I did like that it was a unique dish and unique take on brunch. I tried the hollandaise sauce on my friend's benedict and I will say that it was one of the best hollandaise sauce I've tried. Usually hollandaise doesn't have taste for me, but the sauce here actually had flavor! Last but not least, the service here was A+. Our server was personable and very attentive. Super happy with the service and will love to come back to get those duck fat potatoes again!

Took my husband here for Father's Day brunch. It was terrific, from beginning to end. Drinks were yummy- I had an iced coffee drink made with frangelica, and he got some kind of mixed drink with tequila and fruit juice and cayenne. I had the French toast pecan Napoleon which was stupendous and he got the frittata carbonara - ditto. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Also great that they have a parking lot in this neighborhood .

My friend and I were walking in Tremont after on a waiting list to eat at Southside. We came across a pretty patio area with people dining at and we wanted to see which place it was. We discovered it was Dante Next Door, literally next door to Dante. Clever. This place is strictly a brunch place while Dante is a dinner spot. Upon walking in there was a nice bar area and seating inside with lots of space. We decided to sit outside since it was such a beautiful day. Lucky for us, a couple just got up so the wait was short. They walk you through Dante's dining area, very fancy and spacious, and take you through the back past the kitchen to the patio area. Beautiful stone patio with about 5 tables. I liked the chairs which kinda spring back and you can rock. A young girl pored is some water while we waited for our server. The menu sounded amazing! Everything on it. I wanted one of everything. I decided on the vegetarian Benedict with comes with artichokes avocado tomato (I wanted mine without this) and greens with a perfectly poached egg and light amount of hollandaise sauce (which I appreciated, I don't like it drowning in sauce) all on top of a toasted English muffin. It comes with a lightly dressed side salad. The duck fat potatoes on the menu intrigued me and I am a carb whore so I needed to order a side of those. They were perfectly crisp and not oily. It came with a sauce but it was too spicy for my taste. They were good just on their own. My friend ordered the special of the day which was a vegetable omelette, loaded with vegetables it was. He added a side of blueberry sausage but I don't eat much meat so I declined a taste. It had blueberries inside and a blueberry topping. He also ordered the orange marmalade pancakes. oh my god. These were so damn good. With the whipped cream on top it was fantastic. Highly recommend this. The menu is a little pricey but you do get your money's worth. Beautiful presentation and high quality ingredients. Service was quick and pleasant. I really have no complaints about the place or the food. Everything was fantastic and I'm glad we came upon the cute spot. I will definitely be back again! Check it out, you won't regret it!

Delicious! This is the best brunch menu! I have been here several times & the food is so darn good every time. I don't even like brunch or eggs and I dream about the Occhio di bu. The service has been hit or miss. Never bad or rude just slow & indifferent.

This was a fun and yummy brunch! The vibe is definitely laid back, focusing more on quality food and drink. DRINK: We started off by choosing our beverages from the unique & extensive list of mimosas, boozy coffees, and cocktails. PASTRY: We shared a homemade pastry for the table that was fresh, nutty, and delicious! BRUNCH FOOD: For someone who does not eat eggs, brunch can be a challenge... most times the only option is sweet pancakes/waffles. At Dante Next Door, there are plenty of savory non-egg dishes. I enjoyed the hearty, tender braised beef short rib sandwich with gruyere, Dijon, and onions. It was very good and a generous portion- I ended up taking half home. We also had the Crab Cakes Benedict (which was perfectly cooked) and the unique Everything Bagel pizza - perfect for those who love Lox for breakfast!

I have lived in Tremont for 4 years and FINALLY got around to checking this place out. Such an interesting menu, great presentation, and high quality eats. I would recommend coming early, as the crowd piles in quick. My only real complaint is that they open pretty late for the breakfast crowd. But if you are a noon-riser, bougee bruncher, this is your place!!

Visited this restaurant for brunch with a friend. The only real issue I had was the temperature control. If you're sitting at a table close to the main entrance door, you'll be keeping your jacket on for sure. Other than that, Dante Next Door is a solid brunch spot. They have really good coffee (including some boozy options). I ordered the pasta carbonara frittata. I've never seen anything like that before - it's an egg frittata, and it's topped with a small pile of pasta carbonara. It was really good!! We also ordered a side order of the maple bacon. It was thin and crispy, just the way I like it! I'll definitely be back again to try something new!

Went with some friends for Sunday brunch. My complaint... everting sounded so amazing, it was hard to narrow down my choice! We got a pastry box for the table, which has 4 amazing and delicious pastries for us to share. I had the crab cakes Benedict and a mimosa, husband had the strawberry pancakes special, while our son sTuck with his standby of a cheeseburger and fries. Our friends both got pizzas, Lox. Everything was spectacular.

The brunch food and cocktail menus were amazing here and I would've been happy ordering any number of things. The bananas foster french toast was so good. The bread was thick enough and toasted crispy enough that it kept well for leftovers the next morning being microwaved. For me that's very rare to find breakfast foods that make good leftovers. Some extra bacon and home fries from side dishes reheated great too. The rose wine cocktail with a shot of vodka inside was very well made and a good sipper. Service wasn't very attentive but I did like having the privacy at least. We sat at the table inside the old bank vault with a window to view the hanging meat curing. An interesting ambiance but great brunch spot. Looking forward to visiting again on my next Cleveland trip. Free candy as well as the two entrances was a nice perk.

Crab cake eggs benedict, duck fat potatoes and smoked salmon pizza.
    Ruchu T.

My gf and I came here for a Sunday brunch. The restaurant was packed with people around noon. Luckily we were able to sit at the bar without wait. The restaurant has an Italian/Spanish vibe. Has some nice Italian finishes, but the colors on the walls remind of a Spanish restaurant. There's a few original artworks of some vegetables and fruits. And of course lets not forget those "unique" looking chandeliers (aka condomliers). There are two bar areas in the restaurant. One of which faces the brick pizza ovens. The restaurant ambiance is quite different to Dante. Next Door feels more casual due to its open layout. Anyhow, we ordered the crab cake eggs benedict, smoked salmon pizza, and duck fat potatoes. We also had a mango iced tea. The bartender/server Victoria was very cheerful and attentive. The iced tea was light and refreshing. It was nice to see that it wasn't overly sweetened. The food arrived rather quickly and the portions were very generous. There were two eggs benedict in the order. The crab cake was nicely done; flavorful and moist. The soft english muffin was lightly toasted. There was also ham. All of this was topped with lemon hollandaise sauce and a poached egg. The runny egg and hollandise sauce combined beautifully. The hollandaise sauce had a bit of tarty lemon flavor which the egg yolk balanced out nicely. The smoked salmon pizza was also very good. The pizza was topped with smoked salmon, hard boiled eggs, and onions. The salmon had a nice smokey flavor and the crust of the pizza was very good. The pizza here are all made in the brick oven. The potatoes were also very good. These little potatoes absorbed all the goodness from the duck fat. The potato add on was definitely a good choice. We left the restaurant with one whole eggs benedict and about half the pizza. The leftovers were still very good the next day! Although prices are a bit high for brunch, it makes up for quality (an even quantity). I'll definitely return another time!

I'm not truffle connoisseur, but decided to try something new. Based on our conversation with the chef who approached our table after dinner, he was dreaming of hosting this dinner forever. There was always something that came in the way until this decadent evening. I'll share my experience from the special dinner. AMBIENCE: Palazzo is like a gallery meets fine Italian restaurant. There are plenty sculptures including Michelangelo's David replica. Paintings of ballerinas reminding me of Degas. Walls of wine bottles, predominance of stone accents, and a small vase fountain transport you to Italy. Touches like backlights and wine bottle walls make the atmosphere romantic. The restaurant has multiple dining room spaces. There is also a wooden bar. There is also a covered patio. During our visit the restaurant was extremely crammed. The dinner was sold out. Tables were so close together that it was challenging to navigate between them. Guests had to move their tables to let someone pass through - other patrons or staff. I did not feel comfortable with these seating arrangements. The restaurant was very extremely loud. I couldn't sit comfortably without bumping my chair into other guests. I'm not sure how the dining layout looks like during regular days. Hopefully there is more room at the restaurant. The bathroom is in the basement, so not ADA accessible. The ceiling in the bathroom was awkwardly low. FOOD: Our dinner was 6 course experience for $125 (no tax, no gratuity, and no drinks included). First course (Antipasto) was Pera Sacchetti - Pasta Pillows, Pear, Formaggio,Truffle Cream Sauce, Fig Balsamic. Second course (Insalata) was Arugula - Black Truffle Oil & Shaved Parmesan. Third course (La Pasta) was Cheese Tortelloni & Sea Scallops - Shaved Fresh Truffle, Butter, Garlic. Fourth course was (Pesce Pan Seared Halibut) Black Truffle Cream Sauce & Roasted Rainbow Carrots. Fifth course (Mare e Monti) was Grilled Filet Mignon Medallion & Petite Butter Poached Lobster Tail Truffle Butter & Cauliflower Purée. Sixth course (Dolce) was Truffle Cream Filled Cannoli. Every course featured generous amount truffles and was very well crafted. I loved Mare e Monti, filet mignon and lobster were well prepared. While the courses were pretty petite, the dinner was filling. Considering the dinner menu, it was good value. Beyond the dinner, my friends really enjoyed wines. I ordered Prickly Pear mocktail ($10). It was okay, but not really flavorful. It was too ginger beer forward. It was pleasant to seem multiple mocktail options. SERVICE: It was wonderful that the chef personally greeted every table. I enjoyed learning about his story. It was a nice touch for him to speak with the guests. The rest of the service was average. The hostess was not very pleasant which set a bad first impression. Our waiter was fantastic but awkward. He kept taking away wine glasses and bringing back the same glasses. There was a lot of confusion with drink orders, and the wrong bill included the wine. Perhaps this was due to handling a large crowd. EVENTS: The restaurant is planning other upcoming events. For instance, Lenten dinner ($55) on Wednesday and Friday (February 18-April 2). PARKING: The restaurant has a very small parking lot with an incline. Arrive very early if you want to secure a spot. There is really no street parking nearby. You can park at the RTA bus station across the street. Parking experience is inconvenient. I'm conflicted on how to rate this restaurant. I enjoyed dinner, presentation, mood, and personal chef approach. I didn't like the table arrangements, service, and parking. If the service was warmer and less rushed, I would be all about this restaurant.

I walked in to a perfect greeting and a private dining experience in an upscale setting with a professional team waiting on me! I had attended a concert at nearby Severance Hall and needed a late dinner that could accommodate a 915pm reservation which was met over the phone and in person with genuine and upscale hospitality. The dinner choice was easy - I asked for a recommendation and learned the special for the evening was veal - which is one of my favorites. I said yes and they immediately brought bread - warm with butter - a great crust on the outside and very tender/flaky on the inside. This was paired with a house salad and house dressing (Italian, of course). The salad had slices of radish and also strawberry with the greens. This meal also started by a Pasta Fagioli Soup that was excellent - just the right temp and brought was surprising speed along side the salad - surprising because it was efficient but not rushed and the temps of all were to perfection - as if they had been waiting on just little old me all night long - even though I know they had not been waiting on just me. They deliver this with particular and notable expertise! Just look at that veal and the side pasta dish for the main course! Dinner was finished with a dessert of Tiramisu.
