Do not eat here, the menu listed online is not the same as the menu in the restaurant. The pasta was pre-cooked and therefore it was mushy and it was cold. The breading fell off of the chicken as I cut it and they still want to charge 18 dollars for chicken parm. The bartender was fine taking my order but the kitchen struggled to receive it. It seems as though this may have been a good restaurant at one time, but they're taking advantage of the people that stay at the hotel and can't/won't leave to eat elsewhere. This is consistent with the hotel itself, which is an entirely another story in that it needs a severe facelift. read more

Great dinners, but skip the buffet breakfast. Had several wonderful lunch and dinner: salmon; pesto pasta; Medit flatberead. The servers were wonderful. The wait would not end, there was 5 of us dinning out and there were only 4-5 tables at most with no more than 2 people at each table. We had reached ordered a meal and 2 people got side salads, the side salads came out after 45 minutes and the actual food came out after 70 minutes. The food had parts that were over cooked, while at the same time some of the other food was undercooked at the same time. The server was the only saving grace as she kept apologizing and even asked if we wanted to send food back, but we mustard through the food as best we could. We did receive a discount and free dessert for the long wait. So we got that to go, that took another 15 minutes. The cheesecake by the way was phenomenal. read more

So I'm staying at the Crowne Plaza near Cleveland's airport and I was issued a drink voucher for the restaurant in-house. Cool! I love drinking... for free! Lol. So I had dinner reservations at Cooper's Hawk Winery later so I figured I'd have a glass of wine and an appetizer after I spotted wings on the menu, here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance: On the ground floor of the very elaborate hotel is this gem. It's very nice inside. Since it's encompassed inside the hotel the place is completely open and there is no need for windows. I thought that was a nice touch. Once inside the big wrap-around bar is off to the right with dining opposite of it with even more seats. The ambiance was lovely. Service: Nura was PERFECT. She was sweet, got me everything I needed and comforted me when I started become restless due to me THINKING I had enough time here to eat... Stay tuned. Food: Kay. Here's where everything fell apart. When I look at the menu and spot the wings this is what they say... "Jumbo wings tossed in your choice of BBQ, buffalo sauce, garlic parmesan, pickled ginger sweet Thai with crisp celery sticks and ranch dressing." ALRIGHT! That sounds good! I could go for some pickled ginger sweet Thai! First problem... How long should wings take to cook? Kay. I placed my order for the food at 6:25pm and my wings came out at 6:50pm. Are you serious? Now, I have no idea who's at fault here... Did Nura actually forget to put my food order in? Did something happen to my food in the kitchen? Did they forget? Did they drop my stuff and need to remake it or did I just think I could have a small snack before dinner in time to actually make it to dinner? Anyway, I waited so long I actually needed to take them to go. I did not have time to eat. I ran them up to the room, but before I left I checked them... second problem... What's the first word under the description of the wings? JUM-BO! Hell naw. These were not jumbo in the LEAST BIT. An order of wings is $11.00 and you get 8. I was SO DISAPPOINTED in Tavolo 72. False advertisement of your food, you took forever to make the stuff THEN... then... the wings weren't even that good. My fiancée often says I'm too generous with my reviews and that I can't tell a good wing from a bad one. Well my love... I'd never get these again, let alone step foot in this place unless I'm using a free wine voucher. *Sigh*. I hate doing this to restaurants, especially ones that are rockin' their 4 stars proudly, but... this is my honest experience with this restaurant. For a hotel lounge/restaurant, pretty good. It's in the basement, but the high ceilings make it feel airy. No wine or beer list, but I took a chance on the Merlot--not too good. Service was friendly, but my entree took forever to come out. Staff seemed to be hustling, but they could have used more personnel. The side salad was good--nice dark greens, some cuke slices, cherry tomatoes and shredded carrots. Good rolls, too. Ordered chicken Parm for the first time in my life. Good, but not great. I stayed at the Crowne hotel and was really impressed with their food. I also got it to go. I had the Pasta make it your own way, salad and bread side. You can tell the food is made with love as well as the whipped butter it was served with was delicious. Kudos to the chef and staff they were really friendly. Definitely will be back. read more

The staff at this restaurant and entire hotel could give some lessons in hospitality and making people feel like royalty!! I'm not sure I've ever been anywhere where every single employee I came across was so sweet, appreciative of your business and hospitable. Constant "Thank you's" "my pleasures!" "Have you been helped" They just wait on you hand and foot! Very attentive and friendly!! All of this would outweigh and bad food but the food is excellent!! Love this place! My wife and I had heard good things about Tavolo 72, so we decided to change up our usual routine and make a stop here to see what the hype was all about. Although our first visits to some restaurants were our last, this was not the case. The food was fantastic, the drinks were perfect, and the ambiance was quiet and cozy. And to make things even better, Marcus B., the bartender, was on point. We don't need a bartender who makes small talk, just one who is attentive, has good recommendations, and is professional. Bottom Line: For travelers - this bar is great! They stay open until 2:00 am and have great deals on Bar Bites. We got in around 12:00 am and walked down to the bar. The place was pretty quiet - it's a hotel bar and it was a weekday. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that the woman behind the bar was as nice as could be. She made an awesome Cosmo! Had to have 2 ;-) They have a couple of great Bar Bites for $5. One of my friends got the smothered fries which we all picked off of. I got a Steak and Blue Cheese Flat Bread that was a few dollars more and it was well worth it. Very tasty. As a matter of fact when it got served - the bartender noticed right away that it did not have a balsamic glaze drizzled on it. She took it back and had it back to me in a flash. It was the perfect amount of food to compliment my 2 Cosmos and satisfy my late night hunger. Whenever I am there I will def stop in for a drink and snack. FYI - Had breakfast there the next morning too. I thought the buffet was very pricey but I had just a basic breakfast and the price was OK and it hit the spot. read more

Pretty delicious food and very friendly staff. I would have given it 5 stars but the hotel guests were terribly annoying with their wild children running around. I would think a dining area with a bar wouldn't be suitable for children to be up and about, however, those parents felt otherwise. But despite the annoying children, I truly found the staff lovely and the food was delicious. read more

I ate alone in the dining room tonight, sometimes I like to treat myself after work. I was anxious to check out the new food experience. The young hostess says to me "only one?" I wanted to smash her face in, why didn't her manager ever tell her thats improper? I've tried to straighten out this mistake in other establisments but I'm usually meet with attitude. I'm the only patron in the dining room and she seated me as far away as possible, o.k. Once my server finally shows up at my table ya know what she says to me, "did ya want somethin?" I replied, I'd like to order dinner. OMG. If the staff keeps this up they are going to go under, you watch. Best $12.00 chicken sandwich, came with fries I've had in a long time. Stranded at the airport so I was forced to endure a night stuck at an airport hotel. Like most people, I have modest expectations when it comes to hotel food (particularly airport hotels). Tavolo 72 is fairly typical of hotel restaurants. It's in the hotel's basement so don't expect natural light. It's spacious ... I would even venture to say oddly oversized. The server said that locals don't eat here. I'm not surprised. The food was adequate. Not terrible. Not good. Thoroughly average. The pluses: convenient and the kitchen is open until 2:00 a.m., even on a Sunday night. It was clean and the service was fast and friendly. If your staying near the airport, this is a reasonable choice. Doubt there is anything better nearby. read more

I truly enjoyed my meal here and I travel extensively. Great service. Great atmosphere for a hotel bar/restaurant. Stuffed peppers and a burger with an egg on it (NorCal Burger I think). Sweet potato fries were the crispy type... Although the oil they were cooked could be smelled... Still good. Beef was cooked to order and on temp. The peppers were really unique. I might try these sometime. Blanched and stuffed with spicy ground sausage on a bed of meaty marinara... I should have taken a photo but I wasn't fast enough. Had s local brew beer... On Halloween afternoon, our group of 18 went for lunch here. It was my first time at Tavolo 72 and probably won't be the last. Everyone ordered something different and it all looked good and tasted wonderful. But my big shout-out is for our awesome, excellent and entertaining waiter Eddy. He gave each and everyone of us a very personalized service. He was charming and funny and full of personality. He was very informed about the specials and menu items. Holy cow. Traveling for a living, I really can appreciate excellent customer service at hotels and I received way more than that tonight. I called from my room to order some wings to take back up to my room and Steven answered the phone. He was AMAZING, answered the phone so enthusiastically, he was super patient, and even talked me into having a glass of wine while I waited for my order. When I arrived at the bar I was greeted by the greatest bartender I've had in a long time, she was super punctual, and very alert. While I waited for my order I watched her and Steven deal with a ridiculous customer..he wanted the 'draft' blowing on him taken care of... watching live tv on his phone with the volume all the way up bothering everyone around him, etc... they handled everything so elegantly and professionally. It's been so long since I've seen bar staff at a hotel be SO accommodating, this was really a breath of fresh air. I appreciated absolutely everything. Also the House Pinot Noir was absolutely fantastic, awesome recommendation from Steven and the wings, were perfect. read more

Horrible service. Horrible food. At 9:30p on a Saturday night there were only 2 waiters on staff. My salad appeared as if it were a bowl of blue cheese soup...inedible. My eggplant parm tasted as if somebody accidentally spilled a 1/4 cup of salt on it...also inedible! Staff did not offer to remove the items from the bill when there clearly was a problem. They did after I pointed it out. This dining experience took over 2 hours making it too late to go somewhere else. I was also nauseated from the small amount / bites I did eat & had to run to my room to relieve myself. I would give this place a 1/4 star if I could. Food & service was horrible. The Manager appeared in his 20's, his pants were falling down with his underwear exposed. Completely unprofessional. I'm not sure how this place received 4 stars...but this post is only the 7th one so trust me folks...stay away from this restaurant & the Crowne Plaza it was in! Both horrendous! I would honestly give this place a 1/4 star if it were possible. read more
