Traveled to Cleveland and while there we stopped in at Dante to try The Experience Dinning Course where the patrons are given 5 courses ranging from seafood to meat and an vegetarian courses as well as a wine pairing making this blend of food and wine an experience full of flavors to explore. The restaurant itself is an upscale intimate space giving you the sense of fine dining as soon as you step through the doors. Our Waitress was very knowledgeable of the wines origin and the flavor combinations when paired with the food. I will definitely be back

We sat right next to the vault entrance which made for a very scenic dining experience. We got the tasting portion of the risotto and ravioli and the ravioli could be a dessert it was so yummy !

We dined at Dante's for my wife's birthday. This was my first time at the restaurant. My wife had been here previously prior to a major change and spoke highly of Dante's. Atmosphere is excellent. It's a great dinner date or professional dinner place and has that supper club and fancy atmosphere. Highly recommend reservations ahead of time. Service was alright. They do ask if you have questions and try making suggestions, but it unfortunately wasn't timely. Perhaps that's the style of restaurant, but we felt we had a lot of waiting. They had a solid drink menu. I found a drink I liked and stuck to it. I'm a cocktail drinker, but only 1-2 stuck out to me. So I wasn't very adventurous. Food had a lot of flavoring and portions were appropriate. The bread and hummus combination was a little odd to me. We had a butternut squash dish, mussels, and a duck liver dish for our appetizers. The butternut squash was fantastic and really surprised me how much flavor they incorporated in that dish. Mussels aren't my typical cup of tea but were really good with the broth they were served with. The duck liver was served with sweet potato, chocolate, and marshmallow, like a smore. Very interesting dish. I ordered steak which was excellent! My wife got grouper that she enjoyed, and my brother in law ordered pasta. He wasn't wowed by the pasta. We tried each others dishes and agreed the steak was the best. Menu wise, I felt it had variety but also felt very limited if you're not someone that prefers fish. It's a unique menu with not many traditional dishes. They have unique spins to them. For someone like my brother in law who isn't adventurous, he had a hard time choosing dishes. Dessert was mixed. We tried a coconut crème that was really good. Then we tried an earl gray ice cream dish that was rather disappointing. Overall, if you're adventurous with food tasting, you may really enjoy Dante's. If you're very traditional, you may struggle finding dishes you'll enjoy. Would I go back? Maybe. I didn't see any items that I felt I need to come back and try. They rotate menu items, so maybe next time they'll have different menu items.

Came to Dante for our anniversary and we agreed it was the best meal we had in Cleveland! We got the chef's tasting with a wine pairing and it was a superb experience. Each dish was so unique and delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and so special. The wine pairing came with 5 generous pours - we were glad we did not drive to dinner!! Highly highly recommend Dante's for a special occasion and a fun night out. Expect to have a 2+ hour meal if you choose the chef's tasting.

I had a wonderful time at Dante. Let me start off by saying how awesome the service was. Our waitress was very helpful, patient, and sweet. She was always available in case we needed anything. We started off strong with the Hawaiian tuna tartare and the carnaroli risotto which we both really liked. I am not normally a risotto person, but I can tell you this dish just may have transformed me. Next, we got the main dishes which were the linguini alla carbonara and the swordfish. Though I liked the carbonara overall, I will say it was a bit soupy. Not the best carbonara I've ever had, but tasty! This is a great place for a date night or a special occasion. They have many different plates you can taste or go for the entrees as we did.

I attended a professional society meeting which was located in a quieter separate room adjacent to the main dining area and had its own separate entrance to keep the meeting undisturbed. It had a fully stocked bar and accommodated about 30 people comfortably! The servers were personable and attentive with excellent suggestions. No draft beer but a nice selection craft brews and a solid cocktail selection. The salmon was cooked perfectly and I didn't realize included scattered shrimp in a poignant glaze. I had the strawberry mousse for dessert, which honestly did not stand out but I did like that it was not too sweet. Unfortunately no parking lot so it's between street parking or valet. For hosting dinner parties or business dinner meetings I would definitely book this venue!

Nice to get back to Dante - excellent dinner. No resting on the laurels here, at all. Sat at the bar early - super lively scene. Great to see Paul back behind the bar - he and Chris make up maybe the best bartending duo in the city... Line up was the tuna tartar - really good but Dante Michael Mina is calling from San Francisco and says "Quail Egg!!!"... foie gras amazing as always... then we had the polenta with lamb confit the cassoulet... both were great but the latter especially good We are so lucky to have this gem in our metro...

This restaurant was sooo incredible, definitely Michelin vibes (although there's no Michelin restaurants in CLE). Both dishes were amazing but the polenta literally altered my brain chemistry. Restaurant was gorgeous, dimly lit, with a giant cellar that they use as a private room. Service was thorough and waiters gave excellent food and wine recommendations.

I was very excited to have dinner at Dante while I was in the area. I have heard wonderful things and it definitely lived up to my expectations. As always I called beforehand to see if they could work with my allergies. Then I booked a reservation. First impressions, wow is it loud. It wasn't even a very busy night. We were sat at a small table in the corner overlooking the street. Which added to the ambiance. Our server greeted us promptly. She was friendly and explained the menu. Appetizers - I ordered the Hawaiian Tuna Tartare. The Tuna was impeccably fresh. I loved the dehydrated olives. It was a good dish but for me it definitely needed some acid to cut through the fattiness of the Tuna and the Remoulade. Once I added some lemon it was even better. Crispy Calamari and Shrimp- My husband ordered this. He loved it. I tasted it as well and would definitely order it next time. He loved the marinated Shiitake mushrooms which he thought took the dish over the top. The breading was not overly thick and the Calamari was tender. For dinner we opted for Pasta. Due to my restrictions I ordered the Carbonara and he ordered the Bolognese. We both decided to go with the Main size portion. In hindsight we should have inquired about the portion sizes beforehand as it was much more than we could eat after the appetizers. Great for leftovers though. Next time we will order the Appetizer size. Linguini Carbonara - Not a traditional Carbonara which was surprising. I expected it to be. This was a Cream Sauce. Very rich and decadent. Pappardelle Bolognese - Looked Delicious. It tasted delicious my husband said. He loved it. Most Bolognese sauces don't wow him so I know it must be good if this did. They have a nice a Wine list. Which included a NZ Sauvignon Blanc. My favorite. The beer menu had a good selection as well. Definitely a great experience and wonderful food with fresh ingredients. I was grateful they were able to work with my Allium allergy. Thank you again to the Chef. My husband gave it four stars, which is shockingly impressive for him. We would both gladly return next time we are in town.

I was pleased by the beautiful presentation of each dish. The handmade pasta and every plate I was truly impressed and everything perfectly cooked. The service was attentive and our waitress was very knowledgeable making recommendations. The ambiance is a great combination between casual and upscale.

Anniversary dinner with the chef's tasting menu. Stuffed, delicious, attention to detail. Worth the time and money. 5 course chef's menu that detours from the regular menu and we are so happy we went this way, every server we interacted with was kind, light, and knowledgeable about the dishes. Wasn't busy at all for a Thursday. Interior is beautiful, I believe it was an old bank?

Although known for their 5 course tasting menus, we decided to order individual entrees instead. We started with the Salad of 7 Vegetables, which was fresh and dressed perfectly! However it was topped with chips, which was an interesting choice. I loved the option for "tasting" portions of the pastas. The pastas and risottos came in three sizes: tasting ($9), appetizer ($18), and main ($27). On so many occasions, I would like a sample of something on the menu, but not a full meal, so this is a great concept! Especially for someone wanting to try multiple things (or knowing too much carbonara would hurt their stomach). For my main, I ordered the Monkfish Piccata ($40), and the chef was able to prepare it for me without any dairy! This was extremely nice, and I appreciated the extra effort going into the dish. The fish was good, but I wish there was more lemon flavor. Even a lemon on the side to squeeze over top would've given the meal an extra flare. I'm not sure if they were running low on dishes or just overstaffed, but multiple waiters asked if they could remove our plates (an excessive amount of times) throughout the night. They asked if they could take the bread, starter salad, and even drinks when we were not finished with them. Hopefully this was just a one-off situation, because it got a bit awkward repeating "no, we're still eating" many times.

We made reservations for 7:30 and arrived right on time. We were seated and ordered cocktails which arrived in a timely fashion. At 7:45 the waiter asked us if we were ready to order. We had just gotten our drinks so we replied that we'd like to have a drink first. He replied with "well the kitchen will be closing soon." This was surprising to us since the hours posted had closing time at 9:30. We asked for more time and felt exceedingly rushed. We ended up ordering way sooner than we wanted and felt like we were being thrown out. If you want to close up early, don't allow reservations past a certain time.

I'm not truffle connoisseur, but decided to try something new. Based on our conversation with the chef who approached our table after dinner, he was dreaming of hosting this dinner forever. There was always something that came in the way until this decadent evening. I'll share my experience from the special dinner. AMBIENCE: Palazzo is like a gallery meets fine Italian restaurant. There are plenty sculptures including Michelangelo's David replica. Paintings of ballerinas reminding me of Degas. Walls of wine bottles, predominance of stone accents, and a small vase fountain transport you to Italy. Touches like backlights and wine bottle walls make the atmosphere romantic. The restaurant has multiple dining room spaces. There is also a wooden bar. There is also a covered patio. During our visit the restaurant was extremely crammed. The dinner was sold out. Tables were so close together that it was challenging to navigate between them. Guests had to move their tables to let someone pass through - other patrons or staff. I did not feel comfortable with these seating arrangements. The restaurant was very extremely loud. I couldn't sit comfortably without bumping my chair into other guests. I'm not sure how the dining layout looks like during regular days. Hopefully there is more room at the restaurant. The bathroom is in the basement, so not ADA accessible. The ceiling in the bathroom was awkwardly low. FOOD: Our dinner was 6 course experience for $125 (no tax, no gratuity, and no drinks included). First course (Antipasto) was Pera Sacchetti - Pasta Pillows, Pear, Formaggio,Truffle Cream Sauce, Fig Balsamic. Second course (Insalata) was Arugula - Black Truffle Oil & Shaved Parmesan. Third course (La Pasta) was Cheese Tortelloni & Sea Scallops - Shaved Fresh Truffle, Butter, Garlic. Fourth course was (Pesce Pan Seared Halibut) Black Truffle Cream Sauce & Roasted Rainbow Carrots. Fifth course (Mare e Monti) was Grilled Filet Mignon Medallion & Petite Butter Poached Lobster Tail Truffle Butter & Cauliflower Purée. Sixth course (Dolce) was Truffle Cream Filled Cannoli. Every course featured generous amount truffles and was very well crafted. I loved Mare e Monti, filet mignon and lobster were well prepared. While the courses were pretty petite, the dinner was filling. Considering the dinner menu, it was good value. Beyond the dinner, my friends really enjoyed wines. I ordered Prickly Pear mocktail ($10). It was okay, but not really flavorful. It was too ginger beer forward. It was pleasant to seem multiple mocktail options. SERVICE: It was wonderful that the chef personally greeted every table. I enjoyed learning about his story. It was a nice touch for him to speak with the guests. The rest of the service was average. The hostess was not very pleasant which set a bad first impression. Our waiter was fantastic but awkward. He kept taking away wine glasses and bringing back the same glasses. There was a lot of confusion with drink orders, and the wrong bill included the wine. Perhaps this was due to handling a large crowd. EVENTS: The restaurant is planning other upcoming events. For instance, Lenten dinner ($55) on Wednesday and Friday (February 18-April 2). PARKING: The restaurant has a very small parking lot with an incline. Arrive very early if you want to secure a spot. There is really no street parking nearby. You can park at the RTA bus station across the street. Parking experience is inconvenient. I'm conflicted on how to rate this restaurant. I enjoyed dinner, presentation, mood, and personal chef approach. I didn't like the table arrangements, service, and parking. If the service was warmer and less rushed, I would be all about this restaurant.

I walked in to a perfect greeting and a private dining experience in an upscale setting with a professional team waiting on me! I had attended a concert at nearby Severance Hall and needed a late dinner that could accommodate a 915pm reservation which was met over the phone and in person with genuine and upscale hospitality. The dinner choice was easy - I asked for a recommendation and learned the special for the evening was veal - which is one of my favorites. I said yes and they immediately brought bread - warm with butter - a great crust on the outside and very tender/flaky on the inside. This was paired with a house salad and house dressing (Italian, of course). The salad had slices of radish and also strawberry with the greens. This meal also started by a Pasta Fagioli Soup that was excellent - just the right temp and brought was surprising speed along side the salad - surprising because it was efficient but not rushed and the temps of all were to perfection - as if they had been waiting on just little old me all night long - even though I know they had not been waiting on just me. It is obvious that they take their role seriously. They presented and provided a high quality, first rate, enjoyable and yet comfortable meal a priority. They deliver this with particular and notable expertise! Just look at that veal and the side pasta dish for the main course! Dinner was finished with a dessert of Tiramisu.
