He didn't even offer a discount on the work they already did which would all have to be redone. But he sure pushed to finance it. Such a sham! I had an official inspector evaluate the condition and promptly told me there was no need at all, minimal mold and good air temp. Beware of this company's sales tactics and pressure. Josh's team has been amazing , working solidly for the last three days to cut through the concrete foundation in order to dig the trench for the drain line. All along the way they've hit solid rocks which they have had to bust up with a jackhammer. Not once in three days have we heard a single complaint or swearword from the team. We have been lied to and almost swindled by other companies, so glad we called Oregon Sewer and Drain for a 2nd opinion in Cottage Grove, the others were telling us we had to evacuate the building and it would take weeks and cost well over 50K, Oregon Sewer and Drain came all the way from Silverton for us and had the issue repaired in a couple hours and could not find the river of sewage under our complex the other company said was there. We had one of our complexes without water due to a small water company being down and needing repairs, Josh recommended a company in SIlverton, the water company was grateful for a new company to call, they were up and running quicker than any other company could have arrived to inspect. Thanks to Josh our complex had running water within 12 hours of our phone call to him.

(Another plumber came in the next day and did the job with no problem). I returned the excess materials to Morlan's, which credited the full amount to Mario's account. Mario never refunded me, and replied with belligerent rants each time I reminded him of his obligation. After 6 months, I filed a CCB complaint and he failed to respond to the CCB mediator. I have had to file a court order and am awaiting judgment.

Unfortunately, I trusted their recommendation and didn't check them out with the CCB. Had I done that, I would have steered clear as he has had previous (and recent) complaints. After my master bath was completed, I noted water leaking under my sink and my shower water didn't get hot. They came out and corrected these issues. I didn't use my bathtub for almost a month as other remodel was being finished. When I did use my bathtub for the first time, I could hear water leaking the entire time I was in the bath. I had no idea how big of an issue this was until the the next morning, when I went downstairs and had water leaking through my ceiling onto my dining table. They came immediately out to investigate and after cutting a hole in my ceiling found that the leak was from the drain itself. Basically the water was leaking around the drain and pipes. The owner was initially apologetic, accepted full responsibility and assured us he would take care of everything. At this point, we were skeptical and had lost all confidence in this company and the quality of their work, as well as their work ethic/integrity. We checked with our home owners insurance, who said they would cover these damages. We offered to have our insurance company take over, if Bassin Plumbing was willing to cover the $500 dollar deductible - they could then "walk away". He declined, stating he accepted responsibility and wanted to take care of it. Over the next several days as they were repairing the drain, the owner and his employee, Tim, started to place blame on anyone and everyone - deflecting from themselves and the work they did. It was so unprofessional and just added to the stress we were already experiencing. For example, saying things like "you must have bumped the tub knocking the drain loose". Really? They also tried to blame the tile guy - stating if he'd grouted around the drain, the (entire bath tub full of ) water would have leaked upstairs on the bathroom floor instead of down stairs through the ceiling causing all the damage downstairs. Really? Had they put the drain in correctly, set the tub correctly and properly tested everything - there would not have been a MAJOR problem. The tile guy had NOTHING to do with the plumbing - which was the cause of the leak - not the grout or tile or anything the tile guy did or didn't do. Also, since all this occurred I've looked through the owner/installation manuals (they left) and discovered they did NOT set the tub per installation instructions. I also learned you are suppose to fill the tub for 24 hours to test for leaks - this also wasn't done . I did question if they tested ANY of the plumbing - come on, a leak from a sink, a shower that doesn't get hot and now a major tub leak and I'm suppose to believe they did proper testing? I'm calling BS. The evidence speaks for itself! After all the drywall and painting work was done to repair the damage done by the leak, the owner of Bassin Plumbing refused to pay. He reasoned that the tile guy should have to pay for half of the cost. However, at the time of this review - we haven't received even 1/2 the cost of repairs. The cost of repairs was really nominal ($1150) and less than I expected and only a small fraction of what I paid this plumber to do such terrible work. It's unbelievable to me that he would be so unprofessional that he would go back on his word, not except responsibility for his work and make excuses and blame others for something he is so clearly responsible for. Had he done the right thing and taken care of this as he said he would, I would not be writing this review. I would have never recommended him and warned anyone I know looking for a plumber to avoid him at all cost - but I would have spared him a bad review. However, I genuinely feel writing this review is the responsible thing to do to warn others, as I wish I'd been warned.

I had…read morehired Molalla Plumbing 3 years ago to perform the same work and the guy that came out was amazing. He not only cleared the drain but he cleaned up after himself and left my home in perfect condition. So this time, when the drain once again quit draining, I called Molalla Plumbing. They were able to come out the next afternoon and a different guy than last time came out to do the un-stopping of the drain. The problems started when the snake he was using made a turn and instead of continuing down the main drain line from the kitchen, went up the drain line into the bathroom where it knocked off the bathroom sink drain pipe and spewed nasty stinky almost-black "stuff" in the area under the sink (by the way, it's never a good thing when you hear the person doing the work say "uh oh"). I had been sitting in the living room and I heard him ask if I had any towels that he could use and of course I pulled out a couple of towels for him to sop up the mess on the floor (he had also turned on the water at the sink faucet before he realized that the drain line had come apart so there was also fresh water pouring into the space under the sink.) He had removed the items under the sink (fabric softener, clothes soap, cleanser, etc.) to put the pipe back together and then he put all the things back under the sink and closed the cabinet doors. I paid the bill (which turned out to have a bigger surcharge for using my debit card than he told me it would be) and as the guy was leaving, I asked him if there was anything I needed to do about the bathroom and he said "no." After he left, I decided to check under the sink and found that nothing had been cleaned and that the mat under the items was soaked with the wet stinky gross mess. He had just put everything back without cleaning anything. It took me more than a half hour to pull the items out and clean them off (some things had to be hosed off outside because they were so covered in that stinky stuff I couldn't get them clean any other way). The mat had to be thrown away; it was not recoverable. Wished I'd taken pics but all I could think of was to get it cleaned up before it all dried! So, 2 stars ("could've been better") for a kitchen sink that actually drains now but docked 3 stars for the mess that was left and the bill being more than I was told it would be. Next time I'll be calling someone else.
