I am updating my review. I previously gave a five star review but have had to change it. First I…read morewant to add that Cesar was very nice and overall the job went well. The problem was the single gate was not level and hangs at an angle. I will admit I did not notice this until the company had been paid in full and left the premises. I notified the fence company once I noticed the fence and sent them a picture of the single gate and asked them to please straighten it or we will discuss getting it replaced if that is what needs to be done. I have too small dogs I felt could get through the opening. I heard back from the fence company and they were very nice. They said they wanted me to be happy and would go over a solution to straighten the gate and would call me and we could discuss it. They never called me to discuss anything and It is clear they feel they are finished with the job. The mistake we made was paying in full for the job. If we had held back some money I am sure they would have come back to straighten the fence. So what we have learned from this experience is pay a deposit and give the balance at the end. We have learned our lesson.

The owner never lost sight of the project's scope or my input. From the initial contact and first…read moremeeting, and through out the project, the owner kept in touch. He always gave me a 20 minute heads up for his visits. The materials for the project were shown and explained to me before their use. His crew kept and left a very clean work site. The owner even had the loose stones (plywood was laid down on the grass first) moved to the pine straw overnight so as to not harm the turf. The owner wouldn't leave the finished project until he had water tested the new catch basins and run the irrigation for leaks. The price we agreed to was the price I paid and the owner was sure enough about his work that he even gave me a written warranty. I will definitely recommend SOTO Stone to anyone who wants a dependable, experienced stone mason.

I asked for them to fix it and they came by and put dirt over the cement. Less than two months later the fence post caps have started to come off -- four so far have fallen off (pics attached). I emailed Johnathan about the cap issues and asked about the ten-year warranty that came with the fence. Instead of receiving an apology or coming out to properly affix the caps, he told me the caps don't typically come off and I would have to pay $100 for them to come out and fix it. Save your money and go elsewhere. While they claim they provide a ten year warranty for materials and workmanship, in practice it means nothing.
