This company does good work - they just have some communication issues to resolve. We had a great initial experience with our salesperson, and his quote was competitive and fair. We were very appreciative that Chamblee got started on our project much earlier than anticipated. They used good materials and installed everything exactly as they said they would. The issue we ran into was that one of gates to be installed had not been measured correctly, and had to be re-fabricated twice before the installation workmen (who were lovely) could complete it. Throughout this process, my wife and I had significant problems getting a clear timeline from Chamblee's office as to when to expect the work to be finished. This was not only frustrating, but also disruptive to our work schedules. Almost every time we called their office to ask for an update, a different person would call us back with a different story. They all seem like nice people, but their follow-through with communication was a real problem. After I left a very poor review, I was able to speak to a manager at the company and they addressed our concerns. Judging by the quality of their work and the fairness of their pricing, I would consider hiring them again as long as they can communicate more clearly with their customers. read more

We could not be more satisfied with Chamblee Fence Company's work, and highly recommend them. Their staff are all very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We needed fencing for both our front and back yard to allow our dogs to roam without running into our neighbor's yard or into the street. The planning process was started before we had even moved into the state of Georgia, and we continued to work with the same rep (over a period of several months) from the start of the project to the very end . We had no issues working by email and phone to plan out the fence lines as well as the design and materials. Despite a very long and unexpected wait (our own oversight) for proper permitting, Chamblee worked with us to ensure the design met local ordinance requirements. When the project was completed, we noticed that the clearances for the gates were all perfect, the gates were properly braced and very sturdy, and everything was perfectly level. Overall, not a great experience. Very expensive compared to other quotes but initially liked what they were selling. Final product isn't great. They got lazy and reused the post holes from the previous fence instead of moving it. Granted, it would have only been a foot or so but it's what we had agreed on. Gate sticks and is a struggle to get open. Going to need to fix that somehow, Had to fight with them for weeks to pick up the remains of the old fence, which they had originally agreed to remove. I'd avoid this company if I were you. read more

I had a 6" privacy fence installed in December 2020. I noticed right after it was built that the craftmanship was pretty shoddy, but figured it was just a fence, so I wasn't too bothered by the fact that the boards were uneven and the gates looked sloppy. Over the next few months, I've noticed more and more issues. Neither of the gates latch properly because the latch doesn't line up correctly. I was told to upgrade to the 6x6 posts for the gates to avoid this issue. There goes an extra $300 per gate that didn't actually avoid a common issue. I have to really slam into the gate to get it to open and close. Then I noticed that several of the boards were only nailed at the top, so the bottom is just loose. I can fix this myself with a nail gun, but when I'm spending over $5000 on a relatively small yard, why should I have to? Most recently, I discovered that the cement in the posts didn't even set right. It crumbles away, and makes the entire fence unstable. This is the biggest and most upsetting issue. Chamblee Fence was only $500 cheaper than the higher rated guys, but man would that $500 have been worth it for a well made fence with steady gates and stable foundation. 0/5 would not recommend. read more

Prior to instillation we have our land surveyed for the official property line and had one of Chamblee fence's guys come out for the fence survey. Still when their guys came to lay the fence they damaged our French drain, literally dug it up and left it laying all over our yard, did not mention at all in the process that the drain was damaged and continued to cement post into sections of our French drain. When I contacted them about this issue they merely stated they were not responsible for any damage by the work crew. So after paying $7500 for a fence we're left with an even larger bill to have the French drain system repaired or live with a pond in our back yard every time it rains. I would not recommend this company, customer service is terrible, our French drain was marked and still they accept no responsibility and have tried to make no reparations. read more

From initial consult to installation to follow-up, we've had a great experience with the folks at Chamblee Fence. We needed a full privacy fence around our smallish backyard to contain our two large dogs. We were able to schedule our consultation with Wally the day after calling Chamblee. He came out, measured our area, and offered a very reasonable quote. He also followed up by confirming our property lines against local government records; someone from his team also marked our underground utility lines. On the day of our install, a two-man team came out and worked throughout the day to get the fence up. Total installation time was approximately 10-11 hours. Our fence looks great! I contacted Chamblee fence company to have a privacy fence installed. All went well until the code enforcement they them a ticket for not applying for a permit. This subject never came up with Salesman. I explained I wanted to pay cash. 1/2 was paid. Be sure you read all the fine print! The salesman called to collect the remainder of payment. I explain, I could meet or he could come by payment. He said you can pay by Credit Card. Like I said Read the fine print. Anything they have to remove to install fence they cut and drop, I had to remove small trees that they left. I received an email stating I owed 154.00! You r dollars for credit card payment and 150.00 for permit. When I called the office manager Marsha hung up on me : with the remark that "hope you sleep well!! The word Permit was never mentioned. I didn't have the drawing with any specs how can I pull a permit with no drawing??! I requested the owner call me, Marsha stated he will not call you back! My advice, is not to ever consider this company. Extremely disappointed! I made a special trip to talk face to face with Marsha. She stated Steve ( salesmen) told me I needed a permit.... a total false statement!! I strongly advise anyone to reconsider using this company. If the owner is not willing to discuss issues from his customers, do not say much about his character! read more

We wanted an electric remote controlled gate to keep coyotes out and our dogs in our back yard at the top of our driveway. The salesman was great in terms of telling us to buy the gate from them and buy the actuator that moves it open and closed from a residential source like a home improvement store, which we did. That was great but it took fully 7 months to get our gate and only because I kept bugging them about it. We paid the deposit and ordered it in April and it was delivered and installed in late October. Supply chain issues were involved, sure, but the manager admitted that our order had fallen through the cracks. I tried to elevate the issue from mid-summer to October but was ignored until it had been 6 months. Not good. read more

After about a year or so they finally returned by call on the locks they put on my fence. The put a beautiful fence around the back of my yard. I have had complements on the fence. However, I would not recommend them because of the hardware they put on the fence. Both gate look great except they only lock from the outside not the inside. I cannot tell you how many times I had to walk around by house to unlock the back gates. I asked the guy who came and did my quote what kind of hardware. He said I get to pick it out, right! the fence team put in some stupid lock (I'm sure was the cheapest they could find). He call me the other day and I complained again and told him the issue. He said he would discuss with "management and get back to me". The same thing he told me a when they put in the fence. I am still waiting on the return call....and the issue to be be resolved. The fence turned out great but, I would never let them install another fence unless they showed me in advance the hardware. I would have given them a 5 star rating had they fixed my hardware issue. Do not give them final payment until all issues are resolved. Their follow through is terrible. I am still waiting on for my returned phone call on with "management" decided...... read more

I only write online reviews in exceptional circumstances and I was compelled to write this one because there weren't many for Chamblee Fence and I wanted to share my experience both the good and bad. The sales pitch was great, the pricing was competitive, but bottom line, after the job is done, the customer service is poor, especially if you have a follow-up issue. Our fence wasn't a huge job, it went up quickly (one day) and overall looks great! They built it to the specifications I requested (1" x 1" picket with two gates) and while the materials and construction weren't "perfect" I was willing to overlook some nail heads/tips poking out here and there, and some rough, un-sanded wood, because the fence would still keep my kid safely out of the street. After about 6 weeks I could see that a few of the pickets on one of the front-facing panels were starting to warp. When I say they were warping, I mean there were three in a row that started bending every which a way, like arthritic fingers. It was very noticeable and an immediate sign to me that the wood used for these pickets wasn't right. None of the other pickets were warping like this so I figured it was a small defect and could easily be fixed by replacing three pickets. I live on a high-traffic road, these pickets were facing the street, didn't look good and, coincidentally, had the Chamblee Fence sign nailed right next to them. I called the company to express my concern and was directed to speak with Robbie. I left a message for Robbie and didn't hear back. I called three more times over a span of four days before I got him on the phone. When we finally spoke, rather than even pretend to care, he was immediately on the defense saying, "we don't offer a warranty on warping, splitting or shrinking wood." I told him that I might understand that policy if the fence were six months old or more, but we JUST got ours installed and clearly the wood used for these pickets wasn't good to begin with. In an effort to convince him to care, I reminded him that their company sign was nailed to the affected fence panel and anyone passing by could see they built it with crappy looking wood. Apparently bothered by my persistence, he hastily said he'd send someone out to take a look, which he did. The company rep (not Robbie) came out, took some photos, and guess what? Nothing! I called back to their office twice to follow-up with Robbie, left a message...still silence. Two weeks later, no returned call. Did Robbie even look at the pictures or was this just his method of deflecting an unhappy customer, wasting his own employee's time in the process? As it stands, I have given in to what Robbie probably hoped would happen; I stopped calling, but I have also written this review to tell my experience. I did my research before I hired them, checked online, interviewed other fence companies, etc. My mistake was assuming Chamblee Fence would provide better customer service because they seemed to have the reputation that has kept them in business for so long. I'm glad my kid is safely contained by the fence they built, but I'm disappointed that they wouldn't address my concerns or have the courtesy to call me back, even if they weren't going to tell me what I wanted to hear. read more

We had a terrible experience with this company. We called to get a quote and have someone come out and take a look at our current gate. One week later someone was able to come out (when my husband and I weren't home). After WE followed up, we were sent a quote (which we now know was WAY too high). At the time, we said, OK we are ready to move forward--I had to call for a week for someone to even take my call or even reply to my email saying we were ready to purchase the gate. Finally a woman we were working with named Sandy told us that we'd have to set up another inspection because my husband and I weren't at home the first time. Ummmmmmm....they knew we weren't going to be home when we set up the initial inspection, why didn't they tell us this ahead of time?! At this point we are already over 2 weeks into this process with the company. So I reluctantly took the day off work, and waited for the inspector to come to our 10:30am appointment. At 10:25am Sandy leaves me a voicemail to tell me the guy can't make it anymore and we'll have to set up another time. I tried to call Sandy back for the next 6 hours and she never answered my calls. Finally she calls me back and says she will call me the following day to set up another time for someone to come. That was 2 weeks ago. I still haven't heard from you Sandy and I still don't have a working gate. read more

After two years I am already having to replace 10-15% of my fence boards. Little did I know their contract offers no replacement for warped boards and man do we have a LOT...not just mildly warmed either, like snow ski warped, like rainbow warped. Unless you want to have to replace your fence in two years I'd look elsewhere. read more

I give up. I approached this company desperate to start my fencing, after getting the run around from All Star Fencing for a month. Shanon was awesome when she came out and seemed willing to work within our budget. She knew time was of the essence so she promised an estimate within 2 days. Weeks later we finally got it, but measurements were wrong and she combined the price with the neighbors fence so I asked if she could do mine and my neighbor's separately and adjust the measurements. She said she'd get it back right away. I've followed up multiple times - at first she said she'd have it within a day and now she's completely stopped responding. They've wasted 2 months of my time and I really really need a fence for my animals. I can't believe I'm starting back at the beginning. read more

Purchased a cedar fence from Chamblee. Not the cheapest price. As it turns out it was the cheapest quality, though. Less than 8 months ago we had the fence installed It and can be very difficult to open the gate due to the latch getting stuck. Sometime we have to kick open the gate, which leads me and the salesman to believe the post is leaning and has settled. Chamblee wants $1200 to come out and fix it. OUTRAGEOUS!! A little bit of customer service goes along way. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CHAMBLEE FENCE. Praying nothing else goes wrong! read more
