My policy in hiring anyone is to start reading the worst reviews first and then work my way up to the positive reviews. Precision Fenceworks didn't have negative reviews. Their average rating was 4.9 on Google and Yelp. Frank Guest came to survey my job. He gave me a fair estimate for a fence and told me I would be put in the schedule and it would take 8 weeks for his crew to come out. I chose a very high quality custom build fence. I watched his guys build my fence. Workmanship and the wood used is excellent. There is a glitch because the crew boss and I had a miscommunication on the issue of the gate opening into the brick pad inside the garden or opening out and therefore hiding the base of brick pad. I contacted Frank and he responded immediately. I am on the repair list and they will come back to rebuild that section of the gate. I am very pleased with this response. I chose an expensive fence/gate and they are gonna make it right. I do not mind waiting because the workmanship is excellent. I owned a hotel for 25 years and I supervised the maintenance and all renovation projects, of which there were many. When you hire someone for a project their integrity is part of the job and so far my experience with Precision Fenceworks supports that. I don't mind waiting a couple of weeks to get the repair done because I need to have the same crew. They work on a schedule. I wouldn't want someone to walk off my job without finishing it so I will wait my turn. I actually consider that organization to be a plus because this is a business and to do consistent quality work you have to be organized and thoughtful about how you treat your employees and your customers.

We requested an aluminum fence and the quote was over 3 grand. The actual install was quick but the…read morework was sloppy (pics attached) with cement unprofessionally poured. I asked for them to fix it and they came by and put dirt over the cement. Less than two months later the fence post caps have started to come off -- four so far have fallen off (pics attached). I emailed Johnathan about the cap issues and asked about the ten-year warranty that came with the fence. Instead of receiving an apology or coming out to properly affix the caps, he told me the caps don't typically come off and I would have to pay $100 for them to come out and fix it. Save your money and go elsewhere. While they claim they provide a ten year warranty for materials and workmanship, in practice it means nothing.

Do not pay in full if there is something you need changed or if there is something that did not get done to your specifications. Once they have the full payment they ignore all calls and emails. We have tried to contact the owners on multiple occasions with limited response. The only time I actually got a response was when I told her I was going to leave an honest review and file a complaint with the BBB. Then, I was assured someone would be in touch to see when we could get the problem corrected. Yet, no one showed. The main fence gate was placed in the wrong spot and is literally on top of the house. Making it a challenge to get in and out the gate without it swinging wide open to the front yard. This obviously causes a problem when trying to not let the dogs out of the fence so in turn we don't even use that gate very much. There's argument on their end on why they put the gate there but at the end of the day we would have never agreed for it to go there or swing outward. It should have been checked with us first and/or corrected right away. Since the original agreement had the gate one section farther down. So here we are again. We were ignored for nearly 1 month after payment, then told someone would be in touch and most recently have been ignored again after I checked in another month later via email and phone calls. Still no response. I understand being busy but I do not understand not calling your consumers back and correcting a problem. It's unacceptable to go days, let alone months. Our fence work was put up in March. I will be following up with Georgia Consumer Protection Unit as well as BBB if concern is not addressed timely. However, given the fact that it has been over 3 months it probably won't be and I should probably just get my forms ready.

I am so glad I did -- they came in at 60% of what the others did, came out the same day to map it out and explain the permit process, and had it installed the next morning. Literally, less than 24 hours from first contact to completed, beautiful fence! The guy who came out to do the estimate was great, professional, and even helped solve a few problems with the property line, forested areas, zoning regs! The installers were just as professional, courteous, and did a great job. Can't believe how great it looks and am so happy that it was half of what the first few companies had me preparing to pay!
