I've stopped by here over the years and have always had good service. The ceiling fan in my kitchen needed replacing and so I dropped by with some photos of the room and what the fan I have now looks like. Rudy(Manager) was very patient and knowledgeable and was happy to spend some time helping decide which fan would be best. Rather than all-in-one-box type fan kits you can buy at Lowe's and Home Depot, they build exactly what you want. From motor selection based on your room size to color and size of the fan case and style of blades. They have a huge selection of blades to choose from. I chose the 'Luna" for the kitchen and looked at some options for my sun room ceiling fan. They are a bit pricier than the big box stores but these are much more durable and stylish, in my opinion. The chain of Dan's Fan City started with this store. Please stop by, they are good people. read more

Great experience!!!! I went to the location on Sunday and met Norman. Who had a great sense of humor and was so easy to work with. He didn't mind my quirkiness and sometimes odd questions (first time fan buyer). He guided me to correct motor size (I did ring room dimensions which helped!) and showed me so many options my head was spinning! But he helped narrow down what I wanted and I was more than pleased. I did get installation through their preferred installers (holiday electric) who called me THAT night and set up installation for the next day!!! What a shock that was. I had the best experience! Great customer service from Dans Fans, their installation crew at Holiday electric, and I am so so so so so happy with my fans! I've attached the living room fan which has awesome detailing! A bit disappointed. In my search for a quality fan for my master bedroom I stopped in and Rudy, the manager assisted me. He steered me to a very expensive model but I was looking for quality so I left with the fan. After installing the fan we discovered it has a known issue with a very loud beeping noise in between speeds. The reason for the poor rating is because when I called to ask Rudy for assistance with the beep he said he was aware of the "known" issue with this fan, but could not offer any help. Well, great, thanks for letting me know prior to buying this $500 fan. read more

This is the second fan additional fan I have bought from this location. Great in store sales help ... although it is typically 1 person working the floor -- so you may need to wait. Customer service and knowledge is top notch. I would highly recommend this place. Also - the company that installs the fans (Holiday) also has good customer service and quick/accurate installs. read more

Absolutely OUTSTANDING. I had a problem identifying an existing fan that I had. I called Rudy at Dan's and he allowed me to email him some pictures to assist in my identification. This was extremely helpful and it allowed me to figure out the problem. Rudy willing to help me IS HUGE in this day and age of LOST Customer Service. Folks, you are right across the street from HD.... if looking for fan, at least give Dan's a shot at your needs before walking into HD. read more

Buyer Beware! I went to the local Dan's Fan City store spent over $1,000 on three fans. I opened the box for one of the fans and installed it only to decide I didn't like the size nor the look of that fan. I boxed up the fan and took it back to the local Dan's Fan City store to EXCHANGE it for another one, not RETURN it. The assistant manager seemed to take great delight in saying, "You're not going to like what I have to say. There is a 35% re-stocking fee." Imagine my shock since that was NEVER revealed to me at my purchase. Nowhere on the receipt does it mention a re-stocking fee and the assistant manager who sold me the fans NEVER mentioned a re-stocking fee. I was told that since it was installed, it was now considered used. I'm not quite sure how you can decide whether a fan is going to work functionally or esthetically, unless you put it on your ceiling. However, using the logic or illogic of this assistant manager, I told him I would be returning the one fan that had not been installed for a full refund. That fan was approximately $500.00. So, you tell me the logic in having a customer return a $500 fan rather than EXCHANGING one of the three fans she purchased. They lost a sale and a customer. And, I will be telling EVERYONE I know about this experience at Dan's Fan City. read more

If I could leave a no star I would. The guy running the store was very rude. My family stopped in to look at fans to see what they have. Then they used the bathroom (the bathroom is advertised outside) and the guy very rudely said as we were leaving, " you only came to use the bathroom, you should have asked", which was not our main reason for stopping. Very unpleasant experience and will never think of doing business there. read more
