My son, who is a police officer and was on his way home from work, was driving my car and had a blowout, since Camaros don't have a spare tire he contacted AAA, who in turn contacted Dan's to have it towed. My son removed his service weapons from the vehicle but during the ordeal failed to remove his personal firearm. He locked the car, and Dan's driver Derek who delivered it was the only one who had access to the keys. For easier access with the truck we had the car dropped off across the road at my mothers house, Derek texted my son as soon as he dropped it off and fabricated a lie about a "suspicious vehicle" parked on the road when he left the car. We live in a rural area on a dead end road, my mother went outside as Derek was leaving and could see clearly that there was absolutely no car anywhere in the area. Anyway, soon after my son went to get his gun out of the car and it was gone, the driver had very clearly fabricated this lie in a feeble attempt to try to divert the attention away from himself. My son contacted Dan's immediately and neither Derek or Dan would give him Derek's last name (which I have since obtained). I contacted Dan myself the next day and had a long conversation with him, after I informed him that my mother could verify that his story about the suspicious car was a lie he then switched tactics and said that Derek stated the car was unlocked when he picked it up which absolutely was another lie. Although he isn't the one who committed the theft (which is a felony) it was done by his employee in his truck while on the clock. Without coming out and saying it, it was very obvious that he knew his driver took it. He assured me that he would sit him down and have a talk with him, I was disappointed that Dan didn't take action against the thief he has working for him and that he didn't take some sense of responsibility. They were given the option to return the gun and there would be no consequences, but of course they did not. There has been a report filed with the authorities so hopefully repercussions will follow. BEWARE of doing business here, this is obviously a business with very questionable employees and absolutely no regard for their customers or their property. read more
