I was having some challenges with my Toyota Tundra front wheel bearings. Removed the knuckles and took them to another shop to press in the new bearings. They bent both knuckles and cross threaded the spindle nuts. So bought new knuckles, hubs, bearings and spindle nuts and took them to Texas Pride. They worked on the bearings so they were done right. They felt so bad about what the other shop did that they would not let me pay them to press in the new bearings. Who does that? Amazing customer service and integrity! We purchased a 1940 Mercury Eight convertible that was in fairly good running order but had been neglected for a while. We brought it to Texas Pride and the owner Brian and mechanic Jeff went over it with a fine-tooth comb. Basically, everything that could leak had a small leak. The entire team got to take turns tearing things down and replacing seals, only to find yet another small item to correct. They treated us with respect and explained what needed to be done, even explaining priorities if we didn't want to do everything all at once. This place is the absolute WORST!! Do not take anything to these idiots. They would screw up a tricycle. If you care about your vehicle DO NOT let them lift a finger in its direction. They are lucky I don't sue them for screwing up my brakes. They put lightweight METAL brake pads that are for trucks, on my car that requires ceramic. The metal gummed up my calipers causing me way more problems and money!!I went to them 2x's trying to give the benefit of the doubt and buy local, but all I did was screw myself over. IK had my transmission replaced here. It was expensive but in line with everywhere else. After 2500 miles the cable for the linkager fell out of the bracket and of course I was out of town and had to get it repaired. They would not warranty their work and were very rude about it. I would not take anything here or the Danny's Need for Speed in Downtown Bastrop. They are arrogant and unreasonable when it comes to taking care of the obvious problems! read more

We've had two encounters with Danny's Texas Pride Automotive... first time we blew a tire on our truck on Hwy #95 while towing our fifth wheel... after calling everyone in the area for help we finally called Danny's and their Roadside service truck came to our rescue within 45 min! Their technician had us back on the road within 30 min. The towing technician gave us great service! Our next visit, was a blinker light problem on our truck. Within 30 minutes the problem was diagnosed and the part was ordered... within an hour & half (and reasonable charge)we were back on the road. This shop is awesome. Took my truck to 2 different shops because of my ac not working. They had me change a bunch of parts and still could not get the problem figured out. After telling me that i would have to change my evaporator and pressure sensors, i decided to give this shop a chance. Showed up at 11 am. And the reception desk, Jenny was really nice and told me she could have the truck in immediately to get diagnosed. I went back home and within the hour, I received a call to let me know that it was only a filter and that it would be a couple of hours to get it fixed. At that point , I asked to also get an oil change and she immediately added it to the work order. My truck had been in the shop for 3 hours and my ac was fixed and my oil change done. I am speechless!!! The previous shops had my truck for 4 days and I had to follow up with them to hear the excuses. Texas pride had it for 3 hours and figured it out and got it fixed. I went here a few month's ago for a state inspection. The people are very friendly, but one it took them forever and two they tried to screw me. They told me my vehicle did not pass inspection for tire, license plate light, serpentine belt, brakes/ routers. I took my car back home and my husband who is a mechanic looked at it and everything was fine except for the tire and light bulb. We replaced only those 2 things and decided to go to jiffy lube and have the inspection done again. We passed! I was then informed the serpentine belt is not on the list of things that have to be checked. I have never had anyone check it before. They also told me my brakes were just fine. It really makes me mad when I feel that I am being taken advantage of because I am woman. It also took them forever and I had my 2 kids with me.....It took them longer than they said it would. Needless to say I will never go back and I feel sorry for all the other woman they have ripped off. read more

Im so pissed off. I created a yelp account and im sitting outside writing this review. Brought my car in for an oil change and inspection. Two hours later after I see the lady who has come in after me leave, I ask for an update on my vehicle. Im told the oil change just started and "oh, let me do that inspection right now". Really?20 minutes later im told that the ttechnician broke the oil cap while doing the oil change and it wont be until 3pm that they'll be able to get another part. Well ive been here since 9:45 am so thats not going to work. I recommend this place if you do not value your time and do not appreciate customer service and decency. I will say this, they offered me a ride home so I didnt have to wait until 3. That was nice. Not helpful when I have to be at work at four. Kuddos to me for staying calm and using ZERO foul language. read more

I took my truck in for an alignment. They call back and want 960 bucks to repair upper and lower ball joints, tighten a wheel bearing, replace i beam bushings, and replace steering damper. Well I replaced the I beam bushings, and although there was some decaying rubber on one, they were still holding strong. The damper the same. I did re torque the wheel bearing, and it was in fact slightly loose. The ball joints, that have less than 24,000 miles on them were fine. Not a bit of play, even when using a pry bar and the wheel lifted up. Bottom line is they didn't do the wheel alignment and charged me 45 bucks to give me a bogus estimate. Also, they put on the bottom - don't recommend driving this vehicle. A sad, sad scare tactic. They may be good on other things, but I suggest a second opinion. read more
