We were looking for a place to eat in Parry Sound and landed on Maurizio's. We were greeted by the…read morefriendliest woman you'll ever meet; she is so lovely and personable. The chef was lovely too and explained the menu to us in detail, and then came by our table to ask how everything was. I ordered the Bianco pizza and it is very filling, best to be shared! The latte was delicious as well! Our table also ordered the garlic bread, and it was scrumptious. A great find, especially for the warm service.

Hope it was worth the ego, to pull that, as a former employee I'm very very excited to watch your ego ultimately lead to your downfall. Also, the RCU. Has had numerous reports about the lies about "white sauce" being egg based (when it's just mayonnaise) Imagine charging so much money for mayo. Then again, this chefs face would look pretty appropriate smeared with cream and white sauce. Because his own ego and lies led to this. Enjoy! Hope they bring you to your lying knees. And teach you that you're not a chef because ya think you know how to cook a pie better than anyone else. Fact is Pizza Hut is better service and customer relations , This town hates 'Chef'. Because his attitude. Let's you see all he has to offer is less than appealing, can't wait for this store to close down. Can't wait for all the samples and actual orders placed then sent off to labs for testing come back with nothing but proof that this chefs " honest word". Is nothing but lies and ego. And a horrific attitude. Glad to say it's been years I've wanted you to fail, and finally have the contacts in the industry to have you looked into!

We were visiting for the weekend and I was craving pizza so we stumbled across Arugula and so glad…read morewe did ! We got take out so it was minimal service and ambiance but the front staff were great and looking around, the ambiance looked to be very cozy. We got a meatball sandwich was some great potato wedges. A salad with a fried egg which is something neither of us had before and a pizza. I would say the salad and sandwich was better than the pizza but that being said I would give the salad a 5/5, the sandwich 4.5/5 and the pizza a 4/5 so still all very solid. Would recommend this to anyone in the area.

The lighting was a little dimmer than I would have liked, I was y able to see too much, and they had small table lamps which were cute but quite ineffective in keeping the place lit. It was actually hard for all four of us to read our menus at the same time we had to pass the table lamp to each other lol. I ordered the Mediterranean pizza, they had a good amount of toppings, quite heavy on the feta, which honestly is very nice to see. But I'm more of a veggie person so I would have really liked more veggies on my pizza, but it was good, and HUGE! The portion size is good for two people minimum! The dessert was honestly nothing that would keep me coming back, or I would probably skip it the next time. It was well made, but much to sweet for my liking, but if your a Nutella fan and love marshmallows, then this is the perfect end to your meal! Bon appetite!

After a bad rain drenched evening and trying morning at Restoule PP, the kids and I were starving…read moreand exhausted. The three restaurants in Powassan we attempted to visit were closed or takeout only. Second efforts revealed this little gem upon my search via Yelp. So a few things to note as I write this, the restaurant has 10 tables, including three booths, patio and probably seating for 34 people max, most seats have butts in them minus the patio. Upon arrival, we were told that service to each would take at least half an hour. However the server (who turned out to be the owner) put a rush order in for fries for the kids. Nat bad at all they were fresh. The kids ordered fingers, I ordered the double fish and chips. The fingers, were definitely some Sysco product that were well, Okish. Slightly above average from a frozen box. The fish ended up being haddock which was above my expectations and my daughter who isn't a big fan, loved it. The missed opportunity here is to source some local Bass or Walleye, and do it up in that solid panko they were using. The wait for food was unbearably long. I'm going to assume that the owner and cook (even though I saw two other employees) were not accustomed to being this busy. Maybe the equipment was not intended for that volume of people in a short span. The owner was very kind, she unfortunately wasn't on top of getting water for the kids or topping up my coffee. In the end the slow service was the worst part, a 2.75 to 3 the food a solid 4, the customer service was a 4.75, Mixed bag, but was made positive.

Then there is the lunch buffet! Thin, flavourful fresh baked ravioli, fettuccine alfredo cooked to perfection, and penne in special red sauce with the perfect bit of spices. Italian meatballs, bruschetta mini burgers with cheese, bbq ribs, and excellent veal parmigiana in appropriately small, lunch- sized portions. All salads with six dressings, home style veggie soup, light battered fish and chips. Yes, it's "All you can eat" And, it's all good. Be careful. Wear your Magic- Stretch" pants. In summary, it is rare to partake of any buffet and find that nothing has been tortured under a heat lamp. This establishment creates the buffet choices in small increments so that everything is always fresh for everyone. Summer time And the dining is easy. And, by the way the price will make you smile. We WILL be back.

It is a very pretty restaurant, in a house setting, with outdoor patio seating. Our server was professional and attentive. The menu is extensive with a lot of interesting options. Prices are fair to the quality of the food. We ordered the Frito Misto and it was perfectly prepared: lightly batter, crispy, juicy and tasty. The arugula and fig salad was delicious and such a good combination of flavors. The eggplant Parmesan appetizer was so good: crispy yet juicy, and not greasy. The tomato sauce that came with it was different: fresh and crunchy. However the pièce de rèsistance was the wild boar: so tender and juicy, with a mild gamey flavor that came together with the light sweetness of the poached pear and of all the other ingredients that completed the supreme flavor. For dessert we ordered Panna Cotta: so well made and beautifully decorated. It is honestly one of the best meals from beginning to end that we have had in a long time. Can't wait to eat here again!!!!! SIDENOTE: the only thing that could improve is the bread.
