I discovered Pizza on Earth during Covid on a trip to Algonquin during one of the relaxations on lockdown rules. In the interim years, Pizza on Earth has expanded significantly - there is now a cafe, an art gallery and a great patio to enjoy the food. The ordering space has also changed with the overall expansion. The pizza is amazing - great variety and a great combination of crispy, thin crust coupled with fresh, tasty toppings. There is a wider variety of drinks (including alcohol) and the cafe provides even further variety. Such a good hidden gem in Dorset!! I haven't been here in probably 15 years and I last remember it being quite mediocre. But I have seen their online presence growing as well as the lines they have so we decided to give it a shot! We came around 11am on a Saturday. I wanted to try their coffee and bagels and my boyfriend wanted a pizza so we divided and conquered. The Smoked Salmon bagel was great - the bagel itself was nice and chewy (some capers would've put it on another level), but there was a good amount of all the ingredients (cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, arugula and fresh dill). The coffee was enjoyable, as there aren't many options for to go coffee in Dorset. The pizza was phenomenal!!! Fresh out of the oven, amazing quality ingredients and tasted delicious! I'm looking forward to trying their other pizzas as they all sound very good! Such a good food spot so close to our cottage too! I'm glad we decided to check these guys out again! read more

This place we found online when looking at places to eat in the area. We ordered two of their signature pizzas. The service was amazing from the cashier, she welcomed us upon entering, answered the couple questions we had and explained where to pick up the pizza. It only took 10 mins and it was delicious! If you're ever in the area, Pizza on Earth is a hidden gem. Definitely beats all your typical pizza takeout places! We absolutely devoured the margherita pizza. The thin-crust style is amazing, especially paired with their garlic dip. There's just something about wood-fired pizza that takes it to the next level. Well worth the price and just great quality overall. We were staying in the area for a few days waiting to try this place out but they are only open a few days a week, so make sure to plan ahead! They also seem pretty busy when they are busy, with wait times being around 30 minutes, but its totally justifiable for what it is! Will definitely return if I'm ever in the area. read more

Never would have thought to find really good pizza out in cottage country. Its an interesting set up- make sure you go on a nice day because the actual inside of the place is virtually nonexistent. You order at a counter, with two massive wood fire pizza ovens cranking out pizzas behind the counter. Its a little bit of a wait for the pizza, especially if someone before you put in a massive orders (lets say 32 pizzas that fill up the entire back of a minivan of example.) But you can enjoy a beverage on the large patio, with plenty of shaded seating available. Or take a stroll through the small art gallery behind the pizza counter. The pizza itself is really tasty- a thin crust and not too greasy. A flavorful sauce with just the right amount of heat, and lots of cheese, plus fresh toppings. Best way to close out our cottage trip! I wasn't sure how busy they'd be so I decided to call ahead when we were 30 minutes away to order a pizza for pick up. The pizza cook time is about 10 minutes, so it was ready and piping hot fresh when we arrived. The patio area was full of people, so I'm glad we called ahead. There was a nice garden area nearby too where fresh herbs and flowers were growing. Looks like a lovely place. We ate our pizza and drinks near our car as we had our dog onboard. The pizza was delicious! I asked for fresh basil on top of the Trullium (deluxe) and it came with pepperoni, green peppers and mushrooms. The crust was really good - a little soft and chewy and just enough crispy. Yum! So nice to stretch our legs and dine on delicious pizza, outdoors! The folks at the pizza place even filled up our dogs' water bottle for us. Super friendly service! Looking forward to making Pizza on Earth part of our travel traditions. read more

If you don't think this pizza is good, then there might be something wrong with you. We're here now getting a takeout for our way home. This is their last day of being open for the year. We have passed this location for 7 years and never stopped in once. We made a point of doing it this past Saturday and have to say we wished we would have done this much sooner. The owner and her team were very kind and professional and even suggested an option that would save my wife and I money but still get the same great experience (more owners should do this not just to save customers money but it also shows the ability to give the best satisfaction and product quality for dollar value while this also shows willingness to be creative). read more

This place is awesome. Not only is the pizza delicious but they also have a gorgeous patio and garden, and an art shoppe you can browse while waiting for your pizza to be made. Coming here isn't simply going to a place to eat, it's a full out experience! I went on a trip with my boyfriend to buy Moccassins at Robinson's in Dorset when we decided to grab a bite to eat. Purely by coincidence, we stumbled upon this spot. It is a really sweet place with a garden, art shoppe attached, potted sculptures, and a wood shop behind it. The pizza is made in a wood burning pizza oven titled "Mount Vesuvius". It is DELICIOUS. Hands down the greatest pizza I have ever eaten. We ordered a pizza called "Hunting Season", it consisted of: Tomato Sauce -Mozzarella - Pepperoni - Ham - Italian Sausage - Oregano - Basil. We switched the ham up for mushroom. It was about $17. There is a beautiful patio out back by the garden. It is a wonderful spot to sit and eat if the weather is nice (there is no indoor seating). I highly recommend this spot. It's open 12-8 pm and sometimes has irregular hours. I love this place, the sustainable garden, the rain water collection, the pizza, the patio, EVERYTHING! My husband & I were on a 7 day vacation, staying in Dorset, visiting Algonquin Park to do some hiking. I found Pizza on Earth online, offering wood fire oven pizzas, started by Sarah Jane Johnson. They offer "create your own pizza", which is perfect because we're lactose intolerant (no cheese). We ordered a pizza with tomato sauce, red & green peppers, mushrooms, pesto, fresh basil. All pizzas are 14", 8 slices. It's so delicious, one of the tastiest pizzas I've ever eaten! The thin crust is light & airy, the toppings super fresh. We liked it so much, we ordered/ate 5 more pizzas over course of our 7 day vacation & even had to buy one to go (take out), before driving back to downtown Toronto, to take home with us, to eat for dinner. The fun part is that you get to see Sarah & her family preparing the fresh pizzas right in front of you, putting them into wood fire oven for 2 min., before serving it to you piping hot/fresh. The love & care that goes into making the pizzas are incredible. And the taste is even more incredible! read more

Grimaldi's in Brooklyn is the best pizza on the planet. This little gem with fresh hot thin crust pizza from a brick oven in the middle of cottage country is a very very close second. My boyfriend and I loved the pizza! We rented a cottage nearby and was recommended to try the pizza here. We got the Bigwinner with basil and it was amazing! Fresh basil, excellent thick pepperonis and there's something out-of-the-world about the tomato sauce! My boyfriend didn't even want to drink water to keep the taste lingering in his mouth, haha. We wanted to love this place. Unfortunately we decided to visit on a Friday night. We were just visiting the area and decided to opt for an easy last dinner option. We arrived at 6, ordered our pizzas and went to sit outside with our 2 young children hoping to eat there. By 7:30 we still hadn't received our order. Our kids were getting hungry and tired and the fresh end of summer air had arrived. We had to rethink our plans and at 7:40 when we finally got our pizzas we headed back to our rental. By then our pizzas were colder than we would have liked. They tasted good but probably not as great as they would've fresh from the oven. We are happy to see that this restaurant is doing so well. We were just a little disappointed with the staff and lack of communication. A little heads up about the wait at the time of order would've meant that we could have made adjustments to our plans. Also an acknowledgement that the wait had been very long would've been nice. read more
