Roasted chicken wrap woth a side of very good Greek salad
    Catherine S.

We stopped in to grab a late lunch before hitting the slopes and our waitress Carrie made our visit so comfortable and lovely. We ordered smoked brisket sandwich with a side of Caesar salad, roast chicken wrap with a side of Greek salad and a pancake breakfast with a side of fresh fruit and sausages. The food came out promptly and the portions were gargantuan. All our dishes were pretty well executed with smoked brisket being nice and juicy and my roast chicken wrap came rolled tightly in a toasted tortilla with lots of veggies. Only miss was the pancakes as they were almost burnt. Not a bad spot for lunch but as in typical Huntsville style, this was another pricey meal at almost $90 for lunch.

Beautiful white interior decor and friendly staff! Got the tiny tenders (10.79) and grilled cheese (8.79). Came with two chicken fingers and a whole lot of fries. The grilled cheese was like plain white bread with a commercial sliced cheese in the middle plus a pile of fries too. You can opt for a salad as a side if you wish. Basic food with a fancy presentation!

Pretty good stop for a bite along the main street of downtown Huntsville. Main St Local gives off a homey feel, and it translates to the food. The big winner was the coconut cream pie: smooth and silky, strong but not overpowering coconut taste, and a nice crumbly crust. We also got onion rings (had a smoky flavour to them; and the lemon dip went really well with it), fish and chips (a bit disappointing as the batter was too thick, and the side coleslaw had a weird almost chicken taste; the fish itself was nice and a good portion) and philly cheese melt (great portion size for the beef in perfectly thickness for the shavings, tasty cheese melt, standout pretzel baguette). Overall, a worthwhile stop as you explore Huntsville.

    Calamari appetizer
    Jolie W.

We walked in with no reservation and they welcomed us despite being under staffed and crazy busy. We shared a calamari appetizer which was different in a great way--a little kick to it and perfectly breaded. Not greasy at all. Then we shared a Greek Salad with the orange citrus dressing. Again, excellent, large potion and the side garlic bread was so good. They never turned anyone away the whole time we were there! And lots of hungry/no reservation people--we would return again! Farm fresh, great service and a cute ambiance.

Main Street local was such a treat. We are from out of town visiting Huntsville and absolutely loved our experience at this restaurant. We came on a Sunday at 10:30am and they were fully packed, we waited about 20 minutes and then got seated. The menu here has a great selection of staple appetizers, breakfast and lunch items. We ordered the Breakfast Skillet, Steak and Eggs, Poutine and Greek salad which were all very delicious, loved everything and it came out in a very timely manner. The real star of the show for this restaurant though was our server, Carrie. She was not only very friendly but very knowledgeable and helped with making our choices. 10/10 for Carrie, haven't had such an amazing server in a awhile.

    Avocado Snapper

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Like the name suggests, the restaurant has a casual atmosphere. But the food is better than some dishes prepared in well decorated restaurants. I had Avocado Snapper for dinner. It is amazing. Snapper is well portioned. It comes with grilled veg and either rice or potato. I selected rice. The chef has good control of the flavour of food. I especially enjoy eating the grilled vegetables. The snapper sits on a bed of wild rice and avocado sauce.

Blackened catfish, cooked perfectly. Caesar salad with house made dressing!

It's worth the walk up the hill in Huntsville! very clean and cozy atmosphere. Our server, Spencer was well informed and attentive. We searched online for a spot to eat and this local gem didn't come up as an option, but we're glad we found it for our date night! I had the newly listed blackened catfish and hubby had the local burger, both excellent. I don't normally do dessert but the chefs daughter, who was serving as hostess, highly recommended the cheesecake... it was fantastic and worth the calorie splurge! We even left the restaurant with a couple bottles of their homemade vinegrettes! 5 stars! Thanks for a great experience!

Quaint, small town feel, friendly greeting and service and the food - all locally sourced and prepared - was excellent. Nice presentation, perfectly prepped eggs and a beautiful Hollandaise. Main St. Local Kitchen has also done a nice job of making their restaurant "covid safe".

(Takeout) food was overcooked and slightly burned, unfortunately. The service was good, quick, and friendly.

But I'm so glad they landed in our tiny, sleepy town: CC is about as close as it gets to a one-stop shop here. There aren't a lot of places where you can grab a coffee and sandwich, pick up cheese and charcuterie to take home, or grab wall art or dish towels for the cottage. I appreciate that the products here are so thoughtfully selected as well. Cottage decor can teeter on kitschy, but the selection at CC -- technicolor enameled outdoor dining sets, lake-themed hooked rugs, craftsman birdhouses -- is tasteful as well as fun. Popsicle makers and painted martini glasses give ideas. Food from local vendors means you don't have to wait for next week's farmers market to pick up those jams or condiments. And a bounty of healthful dining options from veggie paninis to fresh soups make a quick, delicious lunch. CC definitely makes a great addition to our little hamlet.

The berry scone was amazing as well. I wished the tea place we went to the day before in Gravenhurst (Blue Willow Tea Shop) made their scones as good as this.
