Such a great way to dine in on the Main Street in Huntsville. The perfect spot for summer. It's worth waiting for an outdoor patio spot. This is a great place for groups and eating by the water is a huge bonus. They have live music nearby in the summer so that's also an added bonus. I got the shrimp garlic bake and it was delicious and filling, so much cheese! I enjoyed the mezcal mule as well and it's a great spot for drinks. You may need to look around for parking but it's worth venturing out and trying out this spot.

The view - from next to the pub

Spread across three floors, next to the bridge on Main Street. The location next to the docks is perfect for patio weather - esp in the evening. The food is standard pub fare with generous portions, and the service is friendly but a bit slow (which isn't a problem given the setting).

On The Docks offers typical pub food with prime views by the water. We were meeting friends for dinner in Huntsville and they recommended this place. As it was raining, we opted to forego patio seating overlooking the lake, and sat inside. Proof of vaccination is required for indoor dining. Tables and booths are separated by plexiglass dividers. We ordered the beef dip sandwich with fried mushrooms with a side Caesar salad, and the steak taco with the wasabi mayo on the side. The steak taco was pretty decent. The beef was tender with ample teriyaki sauce on it. I appreciated that it had a lot of veggies in it, and was on the lighter side to balance out the carbs in the beef dip sandwich. The beef dip bun was lightly toasted, and the fried mushrooms helped amp up the flavour. The jus was a bit salty for my liking, but the sandwich benefited from the extra juiciness. Our ginger ales also seemed flat and lacking in flavour. Overall food and service were decent but I wasn't wowed. I think the biggest draw to this restaurant is its location off of Main Street, and proximity to the water. Would be a great place to have a drink and take in the view.

This location is so perfectly situated! The food was pretty good but the service was outstanding. There were a lot of tables but the teams were all over it.

Hanging out at the cottage, my wife's family brings me out to Pub on the Docks for the occasional let's get out and eat. The staff at Pub at the Docks has always been very friendly and attentive. Over the few times I've been to the eatery over the summer breaks, the food and staff have been pleasant and good. This round I had the Asian inspired beef wrap and a nice beer to go along with my meal, also had a taste of my wife's club wrap as well to get another dish taste. The beef wrap, being Asian inspired, had a good amount of wasabi that actually took over most of the flavouring of the wrap. The beef alone wasn't seasoned to my liking, but overall not a bad wrap. It didn't have enough spice. I think finding the balance of spices with the wasabi would help. I had a Caesar salad as my side and it paired well with the flavours. Then washed it down with a great local Muskoka Cream Ale. The club wrap was great. The sauce was well balanced. And the chicken was cooked very moist. Every summer, enjoy at least one visit to Pub at The Docks.

I loved my experience in coming here!…read more The space was lovely, really old school vibe. They had a small bar inside, with seating and a beautiful patio outside. Its in the back of a lane, so its not off the street. Yet, Bracebridge is on the small side so, its pretty easy to find. I believe they also play some local bands. I'd say more about the bathroom being small and them having an ecclectic collection of photos and the like. Yet I do not fully recall all about the ins and outs. Its kinda vague for me. I find its always nice to look at that kinda thing. Makes me have an appreciation for not being the only Collector of the odd. The person that was working the day we went, absolutely phenomenal. He was on the cute side, super friendly and accomodating. I ordered the plant based burger with their in season, warmed beet and chard salad, yet what appeared on my dish was not plant based. I'm not entirely fussy about the juices of the beef or anything. However when I asked him about it, he promptly was willing to have the whole dish redone. He seemed rather appaled that he had made a mistake like that, given he was plant based himself. Perhaps it was me not being assertive enough, or perhaps something was missed when the order was taken, either way immediate action was taken to quickly rectify the situation. And it was awesome! This to me, bespeaks of going above and beyond, which is something I resonate strongly with because I am that type of way myself. Would definitely return.

This was one of the rare places around the area that opened at 11 AM on Saturday so that was nice. The place provides the option of indoor dining, patio seating (weather permitting) and is pet friendly. (Some places unfortunately don't allow pets even with a patio so always good to call ahead to check first). The server was nice and attentive and offered my friends dog some water without us asking. The only downside when it came to service was the wait time. When we got a seat it was only us and one other table but we still had to wait quite some time for our food. The food itself was quite yummy. I had a strawberry pecan salad with grilled chicken while my friend had their burger with a side of gravy. The ingredients in the strawberry salad was fresh, the nuts were nicely candied and the chicken was juicy. It was refreshing to eat on a hot day and I felt quite satisfied after. In terms of the burger and the ingredients that went into making it, it was simple but once again, the ingredients were fresh and that's what makes a great burger. The gravy was that came on the side with the burger was additional $1.50 but in my option it was well worth it and went amazing with the fries. I would definitely come back if I was in the area again but if I was in a rush I would just order take out. TLDR: Attentive service, delicious food and fair prices, slightly longer wait time for food (If in rush, order take out)

Topped with fluffy croutons, tender crumbled bacon bits, and Parmesan cheese slivers, it's a simple and classic take on the starter. The prime rib ($44) was surprisingly large for 8oz covered in a well-seasoned crust that was fairly salty, so much so that I wish the restaurant left their gravy (not au jus as the menu describes) on the side. At least there was plenty of horseradish to counteract the saltiness. The buttery mashed potatoes seem to have chunks of the spuds added into the mash giving the side a nice contrast. On the other hand, the asparagus became mush as it's served under the meat, and the Yorkshire pudding was airy but dry. I guess you can't win them all. The Old Station House doesn't take reservations, but fair-weather months offers additional seating along their wrap around porch along with their rustic dining room. Still, I'd recommend visiting early (or much later) to avoid disappointment, especially if you're in the mood for prime rib that's subject to availability.

Not ideal and weren't impressed as we reserved it a few days prior on the patio. Thankfully when we arrived there was one table available that sat our party of 6. Service was good. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Additional service notes: 1. We didn't all receive waters until 45 minutes into the experience, and we had to ask multiple times for them. 2. The food service itself took a long time considering it wasn't super busy - mains took 1-1.5 hours after ordering. 3. When we finished our dinner we sat with dirty plates for a very long time before they were removed. 4. Coming from Toronto typically when bars/restaurants learn of a special occasion they will comp something or send out celebratory shooters to "get the party going" - could be the area, but was a little disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement from the establishment. However the Food was good, traditional pub fare. Nothing outstanding. Price was a little expensive for what you do get. Drinks were underwhelming. We don't recommend the margaritas. Tasted like bar lime - no tequila taste and for 12-13$ (Toronto pricing) they really should have tasted better considering. Surprised most drinks were $9+ for the area and they were out of coolers and had limited options. There was supposed to be live music but they didn't arrive or go on. (Part of the reason we chose this particular bar). That would have been nice to know ahead of time as we would have likely moved a reservation to a live music spot. All in all in the area that was close to us - Not bad. But not what we had anticipated when we reserved. Basic pub, nice patio - good view If you are looking for live music I would call and ask the day of, as the band/person never showed up to our evening as advertised.
