Brad is an awesome salesman I am participating in my first dulathon and needed a new bike. He immediately knew what size I needed made the proper adjustments and even allowed me to take it for a test ride. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. I stopped in today looking for a trainer. I didn't know the first thing about them. We were greeted with friendly staff. A sales rep took the time to answer all my questions and even demonstrated a model for us. I was never rushed and I felt very comfortable. Initially I had gone to Pacific Cycle bc it is closer to my home but after being snubbed and made to feel stupid, I decided to go to Danny Cycles. So glad I did. While I was there, I saw a good assortment of kids bikes including some specialized bikes which are in hot demand. read more

Yesterday I took my wife's old bike in to have the shifter fixed. The staff immediately dealt with my problem and sent me on my way with a fully repaired bike in less than 5 minutes. And no charge! Last time I was there, they gave me a bike box to ship another bike to my moms house in the Midwest. They also showed me how to pack the bike to avoid damage. Again, no charge. This is a nice store with a staff of younger folks who are eager to please. Highly recommended! read more

Bought my bike in for a full service. They told me it's a 2week wait. Also said that the Rusty spokes on my rear wheel wasn't safe and the could break they fixed the broken shifter and clean up the bike quoted 165.00 for the service and charge me 90.00 telling me they greased and oiled everything. So if the did the full service how does the price decrease from 165.00 to 90.00 dollars. If they did not want to work on my older bike they should have said so and I would have gone somewhere else. A bike shop should never take a bike in that they won't fix the right way. Now I have to grease my own barring in the wheels and Head set because a bike shop half ass the service read more

Every time we have gone in there they charge for things we don't ask for. Tonight it was a kickstand. It was there for a flat tire, which wasn't fixed. We have flat insurance, but new reasons to charge us never fail to arise. I would give it zero stars if I could. read more

I went into the shop with an old bike that needed tuning; I also needed help to figure out a complicated bike rack I'd purchased several years ago that isn't sold anymore. These guys had no obligation to assist me with the rack and they were fantastic - willing, proactive, patient and persevering. They are also very knowledgeable and obviously love what they do. I procrastinated in getting the bike to the shop (because I couldn't figure out the rack!) so I was needing a quick turn-around on the tune-up. They told me they'd get it done and they did - a day sooner than expected. This shop sets the standard for customer service! read more

Very good bike shop. I have over a dozen bikes and trust them to work on them. They do a great job. Since I have some vintage bikes, I have a lot of special requeats, and they alway try to get me to where I want to go. No pressure sales staff and very knowledgeable. I have had Kevin have to fix some work by other shops that are not as good. In the rare instance where they do not have a very specialized tool or a type of frame repair service available in house, they will call and find another shop or specialized repair service that can do the job. This is a new shop, in the same location as Stamford Cycle Center. When Cycle Center closed, I was devastated - now I would have to find a new shop, after being a long time customer there. After a couple of months, I was driving by and noticed that the store seemed open. After I popped in to check the place out, I was ecstatic! I am a "vacation rider" so very recreational. I stopped at another store first and they were way to intimidating. I then tried Danny's and immediately felt welcome. Yes they have every high end bike one could imaging but they also have recreational and kids bikes. From the moment I entered the staff was excellent. They helped me unload my bikes and quickly assessed their condition. A new cable here. A new tire there. The price was very reasonable and we're ready for the Jersey Shore in no time. Nice staff. Bought a Thule rack - good price and excellent service, even when we went back with dumb questions about how to install it.

If you are looking for a bike shop dedicated to its customers, Danny's Cycles is head and shoulders above the rest. We are fortunate to have them in our community. I had an unfortunate experience buying my first bike 4 years ago and wrote about it in a previous review. The General Manager reached out to me wanting to make things right even after all the time that passed. Within a week he had me meet with Bino, their certified bike fitter. Bino spent an hour and 1/2 re-fitting me to a bike. Starting with moving the cleats back on my shoes and working from the bottom up measuring and observing each modification made. When the process was completed Danny's Cycles decided the to replace my old bike, bought several years prior, with a properly fitted bike at no cost to me. I picked up the replacement bike today and was amazed with the bike I took home. My old Trek Alpha Aluminum 1.2 was replaced with a Trek Madone 2.1. The Trek Madone was several years newer and several levels higher in quality. Madone is Trek's flagship line of bikes and to make things right, Danny's Cycles sent me home with one. They exceeded any expectations I had and this is an example of actions speaking louder than words. Danny's Cycles on High Ridge is just an amazing local bike shop. I recently took up mountain biking and the staff at Danny's has been with me every step of the way; from offering advice to taking care of my bike. I often pop in with my bike after a ride with some issue or another and they are always quick to throw it up on a stand and diagnose it. I found them to be incredibly honest as they're usually able to get me going again with a super quick adjustment free of charge. They're friendly, honest and most important happy to share their knowledge with you. The more I get into biking and begin investing time and energy in the sport, the more I've realized it's important to support your local bike shop and for me this is the place I come back to. Bino and crew are seriously amazing at what they do in a friendly supportive environment. The prices in their store are competitive with what I see elsewhere, in fact I have my eye on a bike that's on the floor that is actually a few dollars cheaper than online. Regardless their service is far superior and I'd be happy to actually pay a little more because of all the little things they do that will earn your loyalty. I have bought a number of bikes in the past. I recently bought my latest bike from Danny's at North Stamford. I dealt with Beno. It was really a very positive experience. He was the only dealer that was willing to order the high end model Trek just so I could test drive it. He did this with no guarantee that I would buy it. I wound up buying it from him. One of the reasons was that all future tuneup are free. While I expect good service when I'm buying a new bike what really differentiated Danny's Cycle in North Stamford was the service that I received after I bought the bike. I've brought it in a number of times for tunes up. They are very prompt and they don't charge me. Recently I tried to reinstall my pedals and totally messed it up. I brought it to Danny's Cycle and they promptly worked on it and did such a great job so that I didn't have to buy a new crank shaft. They installed my Garmin , that I bought somewhere else and tuned up my bike. All of this very prompt and pleasant and no charge. I will now be bringing all my bikes there for a tuneup. My only regret is that I didn't buy all of my bikes from Danny's Cycle because then I wouldn't have to pay for them to be tuned up. I highly recommend them. Everyone there is so professional and they have plenty of staff so that you don't have to try to flag someone down to get help. Beno you run a great shop. read more
