Called this office to get an idea of how much money my adjustment would cost. Receptionist said ZERO charge for doctor to evaluate. Booked an appointment & just expected their opinion & price estimate before any charge. (Beware they do run behind). In no way did MCKENNA/LASHGARI or ANY of his staff inform me they would be charging me. He adjusted 2 wires in 23 minutes (I watched the clock in front of me) & charged me $100!! Literally slightly adjusted 2 wires in 2 minutes & talked the rest of the time!! I was shocked & appalled! He never stopped & mentioned he would have to charge me. I paid & thought about it for a few days. I felt I was totally ripped off & had to call the office to discuss. One receptionist was incredibly nice & really understood where I was coming from. She even admitted that it was a lot of money & unfair he surprised me with a large bill. She said a book keeper or manger would call me back. A female manager called me back with an trashy attitude & said MCKENNA/LASHGARI would give me a refund but it would "probably take a month for a check to get to me". I didn't argue with her but I was still disgusted at her tone & what she said to me, & how it was going to take a month. She acted like I was wrong for speaking up for a $100 charge for 23 fricken minutes of MCKENNA/LASHGARI time!! She never once apologized that the office failed to tell me about their prices etc!! I would have never booked an appointment if I knew of their prices! Especially when I had 20 other orthodontists around me I could have used instead! How she had the balls to think I was in the wrong is disgusting. I feel terrible for any other person they pulled this with. BEWARE of their surprise charges even if you ask for a quote.MCKENNA/LASHGARI should have stopped after evaluating me & said, "I charge for these types of adjustments etc. are you good with that?".!!!! FYI, if MCKENNA/LASHGARI charged me $100 for about 30 minutes of their time, that means he makes $200 an hour. I have been going to this office for quite some time now. Until today. This review is my way to warn any person from using this place for their night guard services. I hope to save you time and money. Teeth grinding at night, comes with many issues already. And for a "dental office" to play these kinds of tricks is awful. To start off, I had a night guard that I used for many years (from another dentist). Key words many years... I needed a new one, so I went to the office and they took the measurements. I picked up this guard 2 months ago. It was fine for the first month, then it started getting slightly cloudy. I let this go (as I thought it was normal). Last week, I woke up and noticed that my grinding had broken a piece of the plastic on the guard. I called the office and made an appointment. Since the whole point in these is to help from grinding teeth, you would think that the plastic can withstand that. Once I got to the office I was told that this is not material they use, and that I may have brought my "old one." First off, they tried to make me feel dumb, as if I would mistakenly bring an old one, or one from "another place". I showed them a picture of the one from them, the day I picked it up.... Which was a pricey guard as is. They blamed it on the discoloration, and stated that it was not theirs. I can assure you, that it was the one I picked up from them. I have no time to run around trying to get night guards from dentists. Without even looking at the guard and immediately stating it didn't match the picture I had, they weren't hesitant to attempt to make me feel as if I did something wrong. I have shown another dentist a picture of the two, and they agreed that it was clearly the same bite marks on both. I even took a picture of the material they use and will call the manufacture to have them compare it for even further proof. The point in my review here is to save you all the hassle and money of being ripped off by this place. They attempted to offer me half off a new one, but I refused. I am happy to pay double the price at this other dentist, because I can sleep with a piece of mind knowing I have a quality night guard. All please be aware...

When you enter, the waiting room is more like the living room where you're not allowed to sit on the couch, that or a dental salon or maybe a yoga studio, complete with--I believe--live orchids in the corner. It's an airy, uncluttered space with coffee pods and HGTV, and is definitely a place to relax before your cleaning. For now the coffee table books and kids books have been removed. Marlena, Talia, and Stacy and Dr. Michalski are all professional yet human. Even if you have crowded teeth, flossing isn't bad here--they are super gentle. The dental chairs in each room face large windows, so you still feel relaxed through your cleaning--natural light beats fluorescent light any day. There are TVs you can watch through cleanings/exams if that's your thing. A neat solar array can be seen from these windows! Being COVID-19 era the the staff are in scrubs, masks, and shields, but still friendly. Marlena apologized for the air suction tubes presently over the chairs, but it wasn't so bad or loud. Everyone gets a tooth brush goody bag at the end of their visit, and they'll give you a trial size Sensodyne if that's your paste. Kids get to visit the prize box, the dental standard. In all, it's a pretty painless dental experience all around.

Dr. DiStefano and his staff treat you like you are a member of the family. Dr. DiStefano is a dental geek and passionate about his craft. He can give you Novocain and nearest feel it.
