A few months ago we had to cancel an appointment on the same day because my son was sent home from school with a high temperature. Not wanting to risk getting anybody else sick, I called and explained the situation for which they sounded appreciative. The appointment was rescheduled for a later date and there was a miscommunication between my wife and I on the new date and time causing us to miss the appointment. There are no appointment reminders sent by phone, text or email. We'll take responsibility for missing the appointment but never expected to receive an email the following day dropping our son(s) as patients because we missed two appointments, one of which was to just ensure nobody else got sick. We attempted to call and discuss this further but we never received a call back. It's obvious that Daniels Orthodontics would rather you take your child to an appointment, sick or not. It's also obvious this office is a little too busy to any longer care about customer service or patient care. Consider elsewhere for orthodontics, there are a number of options.

An elevator is available to the 3rd floor office. Everything is bright and inviting. The office reception and waiting area is very nice and the personnel are very friendly and put my at ease right away. They easily explained all the insurance coverage and printed out everything I needed. So far I have only been treated by a very capable hygienist. It's been a few years since I've been to a dentist office so it was like starting all over again. Painless, efficient, gentle, and friendly. Everything was explained in detail. All the problems that I had, how they expected to proceed, a dentist came in to check things out and made recommendations and he too, explained everything. Everyone was very caring and most of all very gentle when I explained I was a wimp with dental pain. Everything in my dental heath plan seemed very reasonable. They took into consideration my time, my money, and my insurance coverage. There was never any pressure to proceed with anything. I am very comfortable going to them.

I went to Dr. Kiss for help. I'm no orthodontist, but I was under the impression I may have only needed a new retainer; I didn't think it was a huge deal. I soon learned that I needed more than a retainer replacement in the most demeaning way possible. When I was in Kiss's office, he berated me with insults regarding the route my previous orthodontist took to fix my smile. I tried to explain that my previous orthodontist saved me an intrusive jawline surgery and was able to perfectly position my teeth by simply removing two of them and moving several teeth backward. I was very grateful for my previous orthodontist's work. Kiss said, "I wouldn't touch your teeth with a ten foot pole", before shooing me from his office. This happened a few years ago and I still think about it to this day. I can't get over how terribly unprofessional this man was. I hope he retires soon.

I stated I would like to speak to him about the situation. As I walked into his office, he was already irate. He began yelling and trying to belittle me. I remained calm and stated, all I want to do is talk to you, I asked him why are you yelling at me and tried to explain that I am a paying customer. He then got up from his desk, walked around to where I was, stick his finger in my face and continued to yell while spitting in my face. In front of my minor child. So much so that I needed a paper towel to clean it off. He is the worst Dr. Ever! His service is poor as well. He's staff are rude and he is fine with it. If I can rate him 0 ... I would. Unfortunately I am paid in full and he will not refund my money, if I leave, I would have pay all over.. so I'm stuck with him till this nightmare is over.
