First off -- I passed the California Bar!! I had taken it before, unsuccessfully, even after using Kaplan, Barbri, and working with a Barbri tutor. I was hesitant to invest in a private tutor due to the cost, but looking back, I wish I had done it sooner. If I had worked with Daniel earlier, I wouldn't have missed out on four years of earning an attorney's salary. Daniel is, without a doubt, the best tutor out there. He knows the bar inside and out. We met weekly, and he helped me fine-tune the study schedule he created so that I was always on track. I gained 175 points working with him -- I'm still blown away by that. I worked hard, but Daniel kept me focused and accountable. I'm forever grateful. If you're tired of spinning your wheels and just want to be done with the bar exam once and for all, go with Daniel. Thank you so much!! read more

After five years and five attempts, Daniel's 1-1 course helped me pass the July 2025 CA Bar Exam. I am extremely grateful for his techniques in identifying areas for me to improve and when it came time to take the test, I felt much more confident. This was even after using three different big box bar programs and two other personal tutors. I highly recommend! read more

Summary -- I am a licensed attorney practicing in large law in Chicago, IL for 16 years, but recently relocated to LA. I highly doubt I would have passed the CA Bar without Daniel's methods and guidance. Details -- I've been practicing corporate law at a large law firm for over 16 years. Because life happens, I needed to relocate to Los Angeles, which means I needed to take the CA bar exam in order to continue my practice in California. I haven't thought about a bar exam or 95%+ of any law school curriculum/subjects since I graduated in 2008. In addition to the pressures of being a partner at a large law firm, I was also a new dad and trying to juggle personal and professional obligations, all while wondering how in the world I would pass this bar exam. Cue Daniel! Daniel's methods and his guidance really helped me get over this major hurdle. He has detailed subject matter knowledge and really knows how to personalize a plan and schedule that worked well for me. Daniel also held me accountable when I would fall behind on my study schedule, which is really the boost I needed. I can't thank Daniel enough for his dedication, personalized plan, incredible attitude, and intelligence. He gets 10 out of 5 stars from me. p.s., you have to do the work if you want to pass. Absolutely no short cuts at all when it comes to the bar exam and the time needed to pass, but Daniel can certainly help! read more

I passed the July 2024 bar exam! I was very nervous about it so I decided to hire Daniel after a good friend recommended him. I did the full package. I'm a first gen high school grad and knew I needed all the support and insight could get. I'm so happy I hired him. Not only does he know the material but he was very patient and understanding when I simply did not comprehend. I had a lot of meltdowns but he always proceeded to gently nudge me forward and made me feel validated. He's amazing and I can't recommend him enough. 10/10. read more

I am a litigation partner in a large law firm licensed in two other states and decided to take the February CA Bar due to several client matters in state court and the CA limits on the number of PHV applications. Two of my law partners highly recommended Daniel and now I am highly recommending him to anyone who is taking the CA Bar Exam. Daniel's guidance and strategic advice for preparation and the exam were invaluable. Faced with little lead time and very limited time in the day to study, I was concerned that I would not be able to adequately prepare. Daniel did not sugar coat things or try to "sell me" on his services. He gave me a direct and honest assessment of what it takes to be successful on the exam, including the recommended amount of time typical applicants need to prepare. Daniel laid out a study and preparation plan that fit with my busy schedule and we adjusted it as we worked together leading up the exam. His plan included daily self study assignments and periodic submitted assignments. We had weekly calls during which he provided feedback on the submitted assignments and strategic advice for approaching the various subjects and the exam itself. Daniel's knowledge, strategy, guidance, and preparation schedule provided me the tools to feel as prepared as possible going into the exam. In addition, he's a great person and fun to talk to. I actually missed our weekly calls when the exam was over! I highly recommend Daniel and encourage anyone who is concerned about how to prepare for the CA Bar Exam or on a tight schedule (or both) to use Daniel's private tutoring services. Consider it an investment in yourself and your career. read more

I am so glad that I made the decision to work with Daniel this test season. As I retaker, I was incredibly nervous to sit the exam again. Daniel was a huge help with making me feel like passing was a possibility. I got the middle package and I can attest to the value of having that study schedule. Daniel was very encouraging but honest, and it was good to get frank feedback. His style and suggestions were amazing, and I often went back to review his tips. It's a lot of work, but it was very rewarding. When I passed, I immediately sent him an email. I cannot recommend Daniel's services enough for retakers. read more

I would not have passed the bar without Daniel. That is a fact. After a month of using Barbri, I was just as lost as I was when I first started studying. I was overwhelmed by information, found it incredibly difficult to navigate the interface, and felt like I wasn't making any progress or retaining anything. When I hired Daniel, everything changed. He was able to cut through the nonsense and clarify everything. He was able to answer any questions I had on specific concepts and was incredibly responsive day or night. Beyond that, and perhaps most importantly, he kept me on task. Studying for the bar exam is the art of eating an elephant. There are times when you feel like you can't move onto the next subject because you don't fully grasp the current concept you are studying for. This is where Daniel comes to the rescue. He is able to provide an honest assessment of your understanding of a subject and will then guide you back on track. He will tell you if you are ready to move on and he will tell you if you aren't. And if you aren't ready (don't understand the concept) he will take the time necessary to ensure that you do understand the concept/subject. In short, if you trust the process things will work out. He knows what he's doing and he has results to back it up. Overall, when you hire Daniel you are making an investment in yourself. And this is an investment that always pays dividends. read more

On the introductory call with Daniel going over my score from J'23 he told me that a 140+ score jump was not impossible, but would take great focus and determination. Going into Feb 24 I wanted to make sure history didn't repeat itself. Hiring Daniel was the best financial and emotional decision I made. His direct communication about weak areas in my writing helped me understand exactly what the bar examiners were looking for. He curated a personalized daily study schedule, evaluated my essays line by line, and our weekly calls were packed with substantive BLL and objective learning goals. He made sure I didn't neglect my MBE (a major thorn in my July scores) and encouraged me to keep a journal of BLL to keep up my memorization. Daniel expects his students to come to the table with an open mind and determination to crush the exam. Daniel is in the trenches with you, he makes himself available for any extra practice and makes sure you are as prepared as possible going into the exam room. The Bar examiners job is to make sure not everyone can become a lawyer, Daniel will make sure you do. read more

When I opened up my exam result for the Febuary 2024 Exam (my second time) and saw that I passed, I knew immediately I needed to let Daniel know the news. Without his tutoring, I don't believe that I would have been able to pass on my second go-around. On my first go around, I passed the MBE portion but desperately needed help with my essays. After researching the CABarexam reddit page and google, I found Daniel. From our first call, I found him to be approachable and understanding of my disappointed outlook. He was encouraging and gave me a schedule that I could tackle and feel like I was improving on every week. He will keep you on his schedule better than any Barbri or Themis course ever could. Each week he would critique my essays by telling me where I needed to do better but also still telling me that what I had written was either better than last week or that what I had written was exactly what the graders were looking for. Unlike the barbri graders, Daniel goes line by line of the essays I wrote and tells me exactly what was needed. If I had gotten the black letter law wrong, he made me look it up and then reciite it to him so it was drilled into my head. When I went into the exam, I was confident and when I opened up the essay booklet and saw the first essay, I felt even more confident. I could not say this for my first attempt. This is all to say, Daniel was a great tutor and I recommend him to anyone who wants to make their second attempt their final attempt. Thank you again Daniel! read more

If you're reading this, you're looking for a bar exam tutor and you need to look no further. I found Daniel's info through a friend during prep for the 2021 July exam and put his info in my back pocket in case I failed that exam. It was my second time sitting for bar exam, and you guessed it, I failed. Literally, the minute I saw my results I called Daniel. He broke down my results with me, asked where I thought my problem areas where, told me his prices and to take the night to think over if I wanted to go with him. I didn't need time think, I told him I wanted to move forward and that was that. His program was super digestible and not overwhelming. This was huge for me because I have all the prescriptions one can have for anxiety (just playing, I don't have allllll of them). I also spent part of our beginning weeks working full-time and prepping full time (but a few less hours than normal). Now, I do say this in retrospect lol. The reality is that bar prep is stressful and that's unavoidable. But the way Daniel set up my schedule made this ridiculous amount of material we have to learn digestible. Through working with him, I realized I was not studying properly the previous times. Like, at all. Lol. I needed personal guidance that I just could not get with other programs and Daniel's Bar Tutoring gave me that. Now the price isn't cheap, but neither is taking the bar multiple times and paying for ineffective resources. In total, I spent more money trying without Daniel, and failing then I did with him. I went to a tier one school which offered bar prep for credit during both of our last two years. They also provided us a free bar prep program during our testing summer (2020), which I took in addition to Barbari. I was also part of CLEO's bar program and had Adaptibar. Nonetheless, I failed the exam 2x. When I finally passed it, it was in no small part due to Daniel's tutoring strategy and one on one attention. Daniel is definitely one of the best investments I've ever made. He's great to use if you're a first time taker, but if you're multi-taker please reach out to Daniel. Neither of us can promise working with him will guarantee you success, but I can tell you that working with him is the bulk of the reason for success on my THIRD try (I'd say he's the whole reason but I mean I did show up lol) . If you have any questions you want to ask a former student, ask Daniel to send you my way. Best of Luck!! -AnaStacia Nicol read more

I was a repeat bar taker and needed help in passing. It was Daniels personal touch that made the difference. He structured my study schedule which was necessary so that I would stay on track. When I got frustrated by the amount of material he would listen and give encouragement. It made me feel so good to have someone on my side. Nobody in our lives,, unless they are a lawyer, knows what we go through to take and pass the bar. It was so nice to have Daniel to talk over this material with and highlight my strengths and where I needed work. I'd taken other online courses in the past, with limited success. I don't think I would have passed without Daniels help. I passed the July 2024 bar after having failed three previous times. In addition it had been 6 years since I had taken the bar. Thank you Daniel, you were an amazing tutor. read more

I highly recommend Daniel - especially for those who need of specialized support and are prepared to do the work required. I passed. On first attempt. With Daniel's help. My legal education journey has been a long and winding road. By the time I sat for the July 2022 Bar Exam, it had been 8 years since I graduated law school and 13 years since Contracts, Torts and Property. Needless to say, my chances of passage on my first attempt felt slim to nil. I enrolled in a traditional online bar prep program, but I knew I'd required some additional support. I found that in Daniel. His services and expectations were clear from the beginning and maintained throughout our time together. He provided tools, tips, and tricks for nearly everything from memorization to time-management to legal concepts I didn't quite understand. For me, his detailed, specific feedback on practice essays and PTs were the most helpful. The disciplined rigor of repeated practice and review combined with the practical advice of a tutor who has been down this rocky road many, many times was exactly what I needed. To be clear, if you don't plan on putting in the time or, more likely, have the best of intentions of putting in the time but haven't yet taken the steps to carve out the time to fully apply yourself to Daniel's program, his services are not for you. It is hard work. It can be incredibly frustrating when he meticulously dissects the many shortcomings of your work. He provides this feedback in a professional, matter-of-fact manner, but it can be painful experiencing it in the moment - especially when you know you can do better, but you simply didn't. Unsurprisingly, some of my greatest progress came in those moments. Despite my non-traditional route to the bar exam, I believed that I helped put myself in a position to pass on my first attempt by retaining Daniel's services. So, I highly recommend Daniel for those who are ready to do the hard work and put themselves in a position to celebrate passing just like I and so many others did! read more

I found Daniel through a referral and I debated whether or not to just go with the the commercial bar prep plans and I am SO glad I worked with Daniel in taking the February 2023 bar exam. This was my first time sitting for the bar and with his guidance I felt extremely prepared during those two exam days. I have always dealt with test anxiety but working with Daniel gave me the confidence I needed to succeed on the exam. The structure of his program is extremely effective in getting through materials efficiently and in a way that sticks in your head. I feel that the commercial bar prep programs just aren't able to provide such productive studying as every person has individual strengths and weaknesses that can't necessarily be addressed by commercial programs. Daniel took his time each meeting in making sure I understood the content, how my writing could improve, and what I did well. I am so happy and grateful to have worked with Daniel, I really wouldn't have been able to do this without him!! read more

I passed the October 2020 bar exam thanks to Daniel's help. I found Daniel on yelp. Every single review on this yelp page is 100% accurate and correct. Daniel provided me guidance, structure, feedback, and encouragement. He's the extra super power tool you need to get through bar prep. I used him in conjunction with my bar prep materials. I originally signed up for Themis, but I actually did not even use the program. Daniel initially asked me what bar materials I did have and devised a plan with hours, study breaks, and assignments. It was the guidance I needed to navigate how to study and study appropriately. Bar prep can be overwhelming, but Daniel makes it easy with his approach and advice. In addition, Daniel provides feedback on essays. He takes the time to handwrite and give constructive criticism on every sentence and word you write. His attention to detail and feedback probably more than likely made all the difference in my writing and scores. My biggest weakness was the PT portion of the bar exam. Daniel had be write every PT available, gave constructive criticism on every sentence, and advice on how to improve. By the time we finished our sessions, I had a strategy on how to attack a PT exam. His tactics to approaching the subject material also made a difference in studying for the MBEs. I didn't realize there was a method to reading the question and studying the subjects. Daniel was able to teach me how to actively and passively learn, so that I can reinforce points on the MBE. I think the biggest factor in having Daniel was having someone to cheer you on. Bar prep is difficult and not everyone can understand what you are going through. Daniel approaches bar prep holistically. He makes time for you to get breaks in, do memorization, reminders to take care of your health, and tells you tips that will make all the difference. Daniel is right there with you up until the bar exam. Daniel expects you to work, so don't think you can get by easily by simply hiring him. It's a two way street. He expects a lot out of you when you sign on, but for good reason. Listen to everything he tells you and do every assignment he assigns you. On exam day, I was able to confidently trust in the process and it really paid out. I really owe my pass to Daniel. I came from an CA accredited school. I ranked 15 out of 45 students with a 3.0 GPA. Because of Daniel, I passed on my first time taking the bar. I highly highly highly recommend Daniel! Worth every cent. read more

TL;DR: Daniel was an excellent tutor who made me work hard, but I ultimately proved to be successful on the February 2021 Bar Exam thanks to his assistance. I initially took the October 2020 California Bar Exam. Since I had recently taken another exam I thought I would be able to do a self-guided study for the October 2020 exam. I was incorrect and failed. However, I immediately signed up for the February 2021 California Bar Exam. I contacted Daniel the day after finding out I did not pass the first time. Because it was a truncated timeline (just about 6 weeks), he advised me that it would be a lot of work. Needless to say, that was true. Daniel's program was tailored to my needs and resources. We covered all the topics at least once. I found Daniel's reviews of my essays to be comprehensive and extremely valuable. Daniel worked with me at each of our meetings to review essays submitted to him in detail and point out every area that I missed, whether it was a major issue or small attention to details I overlooked. A major area that I needed improvement on was my performance tests. Daniel provided me with personalized advice as well as plans of attack to approach the performance test in a manner that helped me stay focused and collate my thoughts into a more cohesive performance test answer. Ultimately I went into the February Bar Exam feeling more confident in my writing and comprehension of the subject matter than the first time. Finding out that I passed the Bar Exam was a huge weight off my shoulders. I have no doubt that Daniel is wholly to thank for this. His structure and holding me accountable was a motivating factor in accomplishing the rigorous schedule we agreed upon. Daniel also provides a lot of valuable information and advice regarding the Bar Exam in general and how to handle the emotional side of taking the Bar Exam. If I had a friend that was looking for a tutor for the California Bar, I would not hesitate to recommend Daniel to them! read more

I cannot recommend Daniel enough. I sat for the CA Bar for the third time in July 2021. My confidence was low, and I needed a morale boost + personalized tutoring. Daniel did it all! He started by setting very clear expectations for me and what work needed to be done. I am already barred in another state and have been practicing for a few years, so he personalized the study plan to suit my needs and my particular problem areas. Daniel played a pivotal role in my success on the February 2023 CA Bar exam. As a second-time taker, I felt lost and discouraged. However, Daniel helped provide clarity and a personalized agenda you simply cannot get from the commercial Bar prep courses. I met with Daniel each week, and we discussed what was working and which areas needed improvement. When it comes to essay review, Daniel meticulously reviewed each word and provided extensive feedback. Daniel's program is incredible. He focuses on working smarter, not harder. I felt overwhelmed and exhausted the first time I studied for the Bar, but Daniel's program is manageable. He was also always available if I needed anything. Daniel's program is the best investment I have made! read more

I can't recommend Daniel enough. I passed my second time (Feb 2024 CA bar exam) because of Daniel. He can be tough and blunt. He doesn't sugar coat things. But that's exactly what I needed to pass. You don't want to be training for a marathon and have your coach go too easy on you. He wants you to succeed and drills into your head exactly what you messed up on and how you can fix it. Unlike other tutors I've heard from friends who grade essays really broadly and don't even review it with you over phone/zoom, Daniel reviews with you line by line. He points out every single thing you missed. He trains you to get as many points as humanly possible. He also sets a detailed schedule, week by week, day by day, for you to keep you on track. He keeps you accountable. Again, all of which I desperately needed in order to pass. Thank you again, Daniel, for helping me become an official lawyer. read more

I passed the CA bar purely because of Daniel's technique, his patience and his willingness to ensure that I not only was prepared for the exam itself but that I knew every possible way to remain confident throughout the exam. He provided updates throughout the 2020 changes CA made to the bar from date changes of the exam itself to which he came up with an instant change for our study methods. He updated the change in format of the exam and came up with immediate strategies to alleviate the way a remote exam would be administered and kept providing follow ups and alerts for me to know when I had to be prepared for what in anticipation of the exam's on-going changes due to Covid. Daniel is an amazing instructor, definitely an even better tutor and makes the looming unknown abyss of the CA bar exam seem tangible through daily, feasible, scheduling that he customizes to your needs, your learning level and he targets weaknesses and reaffirms strengths. I cannot recommend him enough to every student trying to pass the bar, you not only need Daniel but every other program will be a waste of your time, money and nerves. I owe it all to Daniel and rarely do I yelp so when I do, it's for a valid reason! read more

So happy and thankful for Dan's guidance and help through the bar prep. His plan is reasonable, his comments realistic and prepares the students for real bar grades. Thank you, read more

Despite being a totally competent person, I wasn't exactly *stellar* at studying in law school (i.e., I spent at least twice as much time hiking as I did doing homework), so I knew that I'd need help if I wanted any chance of passing the bar. Originally, I thought Daniel would mostly be an "accountability buddy" -- someone I'd have to answer to every week if I didn't do my assignments. And while our weekly check-in's did motivate me to actually keep up with my assignments, Daniel did SO much more than that. At the very beginning of our time together, he helped me figure out what my learning style was so that I could study as efficiently as possible (did I learn better reading? Writing things out? Watching videos? Listening to lectures?). He gave me tips for making super helpful charts (I ended up sending my charts to my self-studying friends because they were so useful), advice on how to prioritize my time (so I didn't get sucked into studying stuff that wouldn't get me many points on the actual exam), in-depth (and I mean in-DEPTH) feedback on my weekly essays, and an individualized schedule that accounted for all the things that life threw at me/that I threw at myself (last minute road trips, getting a puppy, getting COVID...). He often made me laugh and always made me feel supported -- even when I demonstrated an exceedingly poor grasp of the law. I genuinely don't know how he did it, but Daniel managed to keep me on such an organized schedule that I honestly never felt stressed about passing (except the time when I felt stressed about the fact that I didn't feel stressed). By the time I took the exam, I'd had so much practice with Daniel that I even felt confident knowing how to expertly BS my way through answers where I didn't know the law. I really don't know what would've happened without Daniel, but I can't imagine it would've been pretty. Long story short: If you're on the fence about hiring Daniel to guide you through the hellscape that is the bar exam, get off that fence and hire him before his list fills up and you have to do the bar exam without him!!!!! read more

I passed the CA bar the first time, and I give much (if not most) of the credit to Daniel! I couldn't speak more highly of his tutoring service if I tried. I went to law school in Chicago and was behind in my knowledge for certain bar subjects. Daniel did a tremendous job of helping me assess where I needed to target my energy and focus. He was was receptive to my needs, realistic about helping me set goals, and most importantly, genuinely interested in my growth and development. Put simply, working with him this past summer made the California Bar manageable. If you're on the fence and skimming yelp for a sign, let this be it! I can't imagine a world where you would regret it. read more

I highly recommend Daniel. I took the CA Bar Exam for the first time in October 2020 and PASSED!! Daniel was a secret weapon in making this happen because his tutoring skills are very effective. The biggest issue on the bar exam is time management. Every minute counts. Before Daniel, I was running out of time on practice essays. Daniel taught me how to read the essay and performance tests (PT) with focus on important areas in the prompts. His feedback in essays and PTs allowed me to cut out the unnecessary fluff in my writing. This helped me complete the practice PTs and essays on time. read more

My success in the October 2020 bar exam would not have been possible without Daniel. As a repeater, Daniel proved to be the solution for me. He offers a tailored studying schedule, structured study plans, and constructive feedback on essays.  My issue was the written portion of the exam. Daniel's techniques and our thorough bi-weekly phone calls to discuss my essays helped me break my bad habits. Every week, as I began to internalize Daniel's advice, my writing improved.  If you are tired of coming up short in the CA bar, I would whole-heartedly recommend you hire Daniel. Working with Daniel was a game changer. When I first started with Daniel I thought I knew what it took to pass the bar. But Daniel quickly pointed out my weaknesses and worked diligently with me on sharpening those skills. Daniel teaches to a standard higher than just the minimum passing score. So when you get in testing environment you always have a chance to pass even if you do not spot every issue in a fact pattern. If you listen to Daniel and do everything he says you will have an opportunity to pass. read more

I passed the CA bar on my first attempt and I can't thank Daniel enough for guiding me through the process. I began looking for tutors during my spring semester of 3L and after speaking with a few, I'm so glad I chose Daniel. First, his costs were reasonable relative to other bar tutors and programs. Bar tutoring is certainly expensive but I considered it an investment and it was well worth it. Second, Daniel takes on a set number of bar applicants per exam cycle to ensure his availability for you. I emailed or texted him questions on anything (essay/MBE-related, study tips, resource suggestions for more practice MBEs and essays). I always received a timely response and our weekly sessions never felt rushed. Third, the program was structured yet flexible to my needs, especially as they changed throughout my study process. Towards the end of bar prep, I was having trouble with PTs so we incorporated more of those into my schedule. I used Themis as well and Daniel kept up with my Themis schedule and made combining the two a seamless experience. Fourth, Daniel's feedback consistently hit the finer points of the subject matter while keeping the broad scope of the issue in focus. We spent time reviewing the details of my answers and spent as much time discussing how to write answers efficiently and how to take the exam. We joked that all I needed to do on the exam was hear his voice in my head reminding me of how to write my answers out. Turns out I did hear his voice in my head during my exam and it definitely helped! Finally, having just completed half of law school remotely with open-note exams, I was concerned about my ability to memorize detailed information. Daniel's tips and techniques helped me feel confident in my knowledge and retention of the material, and they worked! Daniel's feedback is direct yet encouraging. I looked forward to our weekly sessions and felt motivated to improve with him as my mentor. read more

I could not have passed the bar without Daniel! He helped me make a custom study schedule each week and gave me assignments that we later went over together. Daniel is so knowledgeable about the law and he breaks everything down to manageable bite size and memoizable pieces. His teaching style is clear and concise and to the point. He is professional and kind. I told him I wanted to be 'one and done' and he helped me achieve that!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Daniel. read more

Lets just say the July 2019 Bar was not my first. In the past, I had even tried one of the more expensive and well-known Bar Prep tutors in the greater LA area. But, if I could go back, I would have hired Daniel from the get-go. Daniel's course is leaps ahead of whatever Prep course I had tried before, and there were subtle but critical differences between what I got from them versus what Daniel did for me. I believe I can pinpoint the exact reasons without delving too deep into how it works. First, Daniel's course is practical in a way that allows you to use your time efficiently. He tells you exactly what to do and you simply follow his instructions, and all the while you are learning by DOING. Second, with Daniel you get actual feedback that is tailored specifically to YOU, not to some other individual who may or may not be on your level. He will go over your essays, and tell you what arguments you could have used but didn't, and even more importantly, what entire TOPICS you missed completely. This was a big deal because sometimes you are losing points for topics that you may even know about, but you don't know that you need to mention because at your school that topic was not a main point of focus. On the Bar, there are points allocated to these paragraphs and you need to have a separate paragraph for them if you want the points. Daniel's help was critical in this regard to my passing the Bar. Third, Daniel gives REAL feedback that requires him to actually put the time and think about how to strengthen your writing. He isn't just reading your essay and plugging in what you missed from a sample answer. He actively reads what you turned in, understands where you are at, and then has a real discussion with you about it. There is a difference. read more

All you need to know is that if you are even considering Daniel, you're on your way to passing the bar. I passed the October 2020 Bar Exam, my first attempt, thanks to Daniel's program! I reached out to Daniel after the bar exam originally scheduled for July 2020 got postponed for a second time, and I was 9 weeks away from the date. When I contacted Daniel, I was lost, anxious, and exhausted from the already 3 months of studying for a bar exam that did not seem to be happening. Daniel was amazing. Even from our first initial conversation, I knew I had made the right decision to contact him. He described his program and it was exactly what I was looking for. Even though I had paid for one of the commercial bar study programs, I felt the program lacked any kind of personal feedback. Especially during a pandemic, without any collaborative studying with my peers, I really had no idea how to move forward or if I was even studying right. I needed more guidance, more feedback, and someone to help me identify how to focus my remaining time. Daniel's program is just that. While we never met in person, he was very hands on. We had bi-weekly phone calls and he really helped me improve my essay and PT writing. He helped me identify my weaknesses, and we would spend additional time on those subjects. He gave me tips and tricks to MBEs. We would review my essays and PTs sentence-by-sentence. He was genuinely interested in my progress, in how I was feeling, and would make sure to ease my anxiety, all while giving me constructive feedback. I honestly could not have felt more prepared for the bar exam. Even with 9 weeks, less than the average commercial program, Daniel got me to where I needed to be to feel confident entering the exam. HIRE HIM! You won't regret it! read more

This is an overdue post- Daniel helped me pass the October 2020 CA Bar Exam. If you are willing to put in the work and keep up with your assignments then Daniel's bar tutoring program is for you. Daniel's strategy was extremely helpful and forced me to really get comfortable with the law. He is extremely detail oriented and helped me break bad habits I formed to get through law school exams. The bar exam is very different than law school exams and Daniel trains you to get comfortable with what you will see on test day. By the end of my studying, I really understood each area of the law unlike the surface level of understanding that I gained from a generic "one size fits all" bar prep course. I promise you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend Daniel!! read more

I passed the February 2021 Maryland UBE with Daniel's help! After failing the October 2020 exam I tried to start restudying for the February exam, but felt completely lost. I had used Barbri the first time around and realized that their method did not work for me. I started doing some research and came across Daniel's Yelp page. I can now say the reviews are all 100% accurate and were what convinced me to work with him. I saw he was a California bar exam tutor, but reached out to him and asked if he also tutors for the UBE. To my luck, he said yes. I didn't want to risk self-studying and possibly failing again because I didn't want to go through that feeling ever again. I decided to invest in Daniel as my tutor and it was the best choice I made regarding the bar exam. Daniel made my schedule and has a method that truly works, but you have to put in the work. Daniel is kind and serious and holds you accountable. He also makes sure to add in days off and works with your schedule to maximize success. He assigns work and goes over every line of your answer with you and assesses your strengths and weaknesses. His method includes active learning and would ask questions to help you get to the answer. Daniel was always quick to reply to calls and emails answering specific questions I had about the law. It felt amazing seeing where I started vs where I was toward the end of bar prep. Even if it doesn't feel like it at first, with Daniel's help you will see your scores and writing improve over the weeks. Call Daniel and be ready to work and you will get that passing score. With Daniel's help, I passed the UBE with a 43 point increase! I passed with a score high enough to waive into any UBE jurisdiction!! Before I had started working with Daniel, I had signed up for Barbri's free retake. I used their books, Adaptibar, and Emmanuel's Strategies and Tactics for the MBE while under Daniel's study plan. He asked what materials I had and I told him the materials above and he worked out a plan using the materials I already had. I would recommend those supplemental materials as you work with Daniel because I found them to be extremely helpful. If you want to pass the bar, call Daniel. read more

I passed the CA bar exam on my first try thanks to Daniel! His program and methods are tailored to individual students, which is much needed when other bar prep companies just mass produce materials. I was struggling on my essays and decided to reach out to Daniel in the middle of my bar prep. Within the first week of working with him, I immediately saw improvement. The tools and skills he showed me allowed me to easily spot issues and nail down my timing. After Day 1, I was confident I wrote passing answers. I highly recommend working with Daniel--it doesn't get better than him! read more

I highly recommend Daniel's bar tutoring. Daniel is very experienced, patient and knows how to help his students to improve essay writing.

Daniel provided me with the crucial tools to be successful on the California Bar exam. After failing the October 2020 exam the first time I took it(I self-studied with Barbri), I was in an impossible position of having only 6 weeks to study and pass the next bar exam. Daniel set me on a path to diligently and efficiently use every moment of those 6 weeks. His study plan and feedback were instrumental for me to improve my overall score by over 120 points. I fielded 4 other tutors before linking up with Daniel and he was by and far the best of the CA Bar tutors I researched. For even the most successful law student, bar prep and the bar exam are highly difficult tasks. If you are committed to being successful on the exam, Daniel is the absolute resource for you. I only wish I had thought to seek out Daniel earlier so I wouldn't have had to repeat the exam. read more

I passed the October 2020 California Bar Exam. After failing the February 2020 Bar exam using BARBRI, I knew I had to do something different. I began to research online for a tutor and came across Daniel's tutoring program. After reading all the positive reviews of people that were similarly situated I decided to give Daniel a call and I am so relieved I did. Using BARBRI, I spent countless hours watching videos. Although the outlines I received from BARBRI were helpful, I felt as though I did not learn the information I outlined. After contacting Daniel he wanted to get started right away. He was very informative about the method he uses and stated how the videos were not a good use of my time. Daniel made me a study schedule based on my strengths and weaknesses. I sometimes was not able to meet the scheduled requirement because I was doing an LL.M. at the same time. However, Daniel altered my study schedule with a time allotment for my LL.M. work. We spent approx. 8 hours per day and 2/3 days per subject. I even had some weekends off to either catch up or just to take a break. However, Daniel's scheduling is not a reason to pick him for your BAR studying. Daniel's secret sauce is the way he breaks down the essays. Daniel provides detailed feedback on every essay you turn in to him. He guides you through the intricacies of writing a bar exam essay. When I took the October 2020 California Bar exam, I ran into some curve balls when there were questions that haven't been tested prior. Without Daniel's guidance I would have never been able to navigate through those problems. I highly recommend Daniel's Bar Tutoring to anyone re-taking the CA bar exam. You will not regret it. read more

I took the bar exam for the first time in July 2019 with Barbri. I felt lost during the entire program, which showed when I didn't pass. I then decided to take it for the second time in October 2020 (what was the July 2020 exam). My employer thankfully agreed to not force me to take the immediate bar after July 2019, which helped me gather advice from others and take some time off bar prep. Daniel was recommended to me by a friend from my law school who had passed with his help during the July 2019 bar. Daniel was immensely helpful. His structured system helped me stay on track and going through his detailed scheduled helped me identify weaknesses. Daniel's feedback on the essays were also extremely helpful. Going through the essays helped me identify what I needed to work on and how to structure my essays. His notes on each essay helped me go back towards the end of bar prep and review my errors. Daniel was very professional and up to date with all the insane October 2020 changes. Daniel is an excellent tutor and I would recommend him to others who are looking to PASS! P.s. I don't recommend Barbri! read more

I passed the CA Bar Exam, and it was possible thanks to Daniel's guidance, support, constant feedback, and explanations. Having him as my tutor during the process of preparing for the Bar Exam was incredibly helpful. Daniel stood with me throughout the study period; on the day of the exam, he was very supportive, while waiting for the results, and when the results came. My first language is Spanish. I was looking for a tutor that could give me feedback regarding the clarity of my writings and guide me with my reading speed, and Daniel did. PT: I struggled with the PT, and Daniel tailored the tutoring services to help me expose myself to practice PTs as much as possible. He explained what the Bar is looking behind the PTs and how to address them. This is an example of how he tailors his services to his students' needs, for him is not a "one size fits all". Essays: With the essays, we practiced a lot, and he gave me unique feedback for all of them to help me with my analysis, understanding of the law, to issue spot, to understand the facts, what was asked in the questions, and to tailored my response to what was asked (because I was writing everything I could recall from my outlines and not only what the questions were asking). Daniel is great, and that reflected in my essays. MBEs: Part of the study schedule includes MBEs, practice under time conditions, and a process to study and learn from them. MBEs were my weakness, and Daniel helped me with the skills necessary to succeed. I constantly ran out of time, and Daniel helped me with time management to complete all of them in time conditions without sacrificing accuracy. Today I am celebrating that I passed the CA Bar Exam, and Daniel was key in that. For that reason I recommend him. Best wishes! read more

I had been a practicing attorney in New York for 5 years when I took the February 2019 California bar exam. I thought I could pass by just following a Barbri course on my own since it's what helped me pass the New York bar in 2013. To my disappointment, I failed. Daniel had been recommended to me by a friend who he helped pass the California bar previously, but I didn't listen. So after my first failed attempt, I signed up to work with Daniel right away in preparation for the July 2019 exam which I PASSED! After I submitted my first few essays to Daniel, he quickly pointed out my deficiencies and areas of improvement. 5 years of law practice has made me into an effective lawyer, but NOT an efficient test-taker. The reality is: the skills I needed to succeed as an attorney were not precisely what I needed to pass the bar. Daniel worked with me closely, studying my answers to guide my progress and improve my chances to pass. He was keen on giving me the skills necessary to tackle the exam within the time allotted (it was a huge struggle for me), to answer with sufficient brevity, and most importantly, to keep me disciplined to study only for a certain number of hours and days. This was important as burn-out and exhaustion is real! He made sure I studied effectively which meant having enough rest to digest and process the information. Every week, we made a study schedule and he gave me assignments that reflected the areas I needed to improve so I can hone in on my weaknesses and masterfully use my strengths. I felt prepared and relaxed by the time I took the exam (and rested two days prior the exam without having a panic attack). His patience and honesty, knowledge and experience were the key to my success on the July 2019 exam. Without his guidance, I wouldn't have known how to improve. I am so grateful I worked with him and wish I had done so sooner. Thank you, Daniel! read more

PSA: If you're looking to pass the CA Bar Exam and willing to work hard, then Daniel is a great choice for you! I passed the Feb. 2019 Bar Exam on my second attempt after working with Daniel. I spent a while feeling discouraged about taking it again, but as I did more research and found Daniel's Bar Tutoring services, I had some hope that passing the bar could be achievable for me. Daniel is organized, thorough, and committed to ensuring that you are working hard and putting in the time and effort it takes to pass this exam. His approach is entirely different from Barbri in all the right ways -- he makes sure you get a generous amount of practice in each subject area, and will tailor the program to address your weaknesses. Although writing essays can feel intimidating and scary at first when you don't know the law as well, it is truly the only way to learn and improve. Plus, there is plenty of time scheduled for learning the law and practicing MBEs along the way. Daniel has clearly demonstrated exceptional experience in helping students pass the bar exam. I not only learned the substantive law and strategy to approach the exam, but I also sharpened my critical thinking skills, which is important for the exam and for life as a lawyer! In this program, you can expect to spend most days a week studying and working with the tailored schedule that Daniel has prepared for you. You will also meet with him once weekly and turn in essays for his detailed review and feedback. During your weekly sessions with him, feel free to ask questions about the law that weren't specifically addressed in the practice essay. Make sure to come prepared! Good luck everyone! You can do it! read more

I hired Daniel to be my bar prep tutor for the February 2021 bar exam. I'm not your typical, fresh out of law school applicant. I was an Attorney Applicant so I needed to pass the essay portion of the exam and the PT. The odds were against me....I had not practiced law for over 6 years and I had not taken a bar exam for over 10 years. Needless to say, I was a little rusty. I also just had a baby and two other kids at home 24/7 homeschooling during the pandemic. My baby was not sleeping through the night yet as she was only 3 months and she was nursing every 3 hours. Why did I decide to take the bar? Honestly, I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out why I put myself through that lol. In any event, hiring Daniel was the best decision! I interviewed a few other tutors and I found that Daniel would be the best fit for me because he did not mandate that you use his material for studying. Additionally, he was very flexible, extremely patient and really tailored the program to my specific needs and lifestyle. He always answered my 1000000 questions and made himself available for extra meetings when necessary. Daniel is very professional and the feedback he provided was golden. If I decide to take another bar exam (which I will never do lol)...I'd hire Daniel 100 times over. I loved his "Cycle of Feedback" method that he tailored just for me (I needed extra cycles because again, I was rusty). I'm the type of person that needs an appointment and a schedule to stay on track and his method really emphasizes writing and practicing and he helped me create a schedule. If it wasn't for him, I would probably still be reading material trying to memorize everything but his method will give you the skills to pass the bar. The bar was hard. Feb 2021 had a super low passage rate. However, with Daniel's help I was able to pass on the first time. If you are thinking of doing this on your own or choosing another tutor or program, save yourself the time and money and don't be a repeat taker. I'm so glad I only had to take the CA bar once. Who has time to take the bar multiple times? With a house full of kids, I definitely did not. Thanks Daniel for getting me one step closer to becoming a licensed attorney in two states! read more
