As a first time mom, it was so scary trying to find someone you can trust to watch your baby mon-fri, full time when going back to work and with no family nearby. Nancy made my husband and I feel so at ease during the initial tour and our baby was so happy meeting her, all green flags! Our son even cries when Daniel leaves the room because he loves him so much Our son has been enrolled full time and we've watched him grow and thrive since being in their care. Nancy is so responsive which is one of the main things you can ask for with childcare. Our son is so happy at daycare and loves going so much, sometimes I don't even know that he wants to come home LOL. Honestly kind of salty about that sometimes haha but in all seriousness it makes me feel so relieved he has such a good time. The first week she sent tons of photos and videos and asked questions regarding his feeding, routines, etc which was so nice. She helped extensively with his day to day routine/schedule and got this boy on a sleep schedule and helped with his sleep training! He's been sleeping through the night and going to bed so much easier since being at daycare. The daycare also provides food and helped introduce different textures and things to our son. Nancy is a great cook and our son loves her cooking! It's so nice to be able to drop him off and know he is fully being taken care of and we don't have to worry about preparing meals everyday to bring as well. I'm so happy we found Nancy and Daniel and would HIGHLY recommend their services. I feel extremely blessed we found and chose them over every daycare we interviewed with. As parents we were skeptical of all the day care facilities that have popped up in the Bay Area that focuses on the Montessori style type of education. We didn't understand how you could put a child in an environment and let them learn on their own without any lesson that teaches them the fundamentals. An unstructured environment where you sit your child down and let them learn on their own didn't make sense. To us, it was like giving your child a pen and paper. Yes, in an unstructured environment it may let them draw random squiggles and lines but without the proper knowledge to write letters, to form worlds, and then eventually form sentences, it didn't give our children the opportunity to open up a higher order of learning that could occur. That's why we felt a teacher with a clear lesson, goals and outcomes were important for our kids. This is what makes Miss Flora different: she focuses on the basics that makes your child successful and excel in the future. She focuses on making sure your child can draw lines that are straight, the shapes they cut are orderly, the letters and numbers are memorized. From this, she teaches vocabulary, associations, math, patterns and everyday skills that they can use for the basis of their knowledge in the future. To us, she provides a solid, if not advanced, foundation for children when they enroll in elementary school. We have both of our kids in her day care and they have advanced tremendously since they enrolled. If it were not for us moving out of the region, we would have kept our youngest there until she graduated to first grade. She is an excellent educator and if she has availability for you to enroll your child, our recommendation would be to not hesitate and sign up as soon as you can.

The learning environment is full of engaging and fun activities--art, music, outdoor play, and more. Our daughter loved going to school so much that she talked nonstop at home about the art she made, the songs she learned, and the friends she made. The daily photo and video updates, bi-annual evaluations and parent-teacher conferences were especially helpful for us as parents. But what we appreciated the most is how much care they put into social and emotional learning. The teachers truly see and understand each child. They played a huge role in helping our daughter become more confident, expressive, and kind.
