I have worn my vintage Leonidas Swiss watch daily since 1958 when I inherited it from my Grandfather. I wore this watch daily through high school, college, 4 years in military during Viet Nam era, and throughout my business career. Six months ago, it stopped working and I took it to several prominent NYC watch repair shops who told me it was too difficult to find parts for this watch. They quoted obscene prices and indicated they weren't very interested in dealing with this watch. Fortunately for me, I found Danielle Watchmaker in Port Chester. He popped open the case immediately and corrected the problem. I then asked him to completely service the watch. He found all necessary parts, completely disassembled the watch, cleaned and oiled everything and even polished the case. Danielle Watchmaker provided me with the finest service I have experienced in the 58 years I have owned this watch. I immediately asked Danielle to service my wife's 3 year old Rolex which he did in 10 days. Danielle previously only worked for retail jewelers all over the US. This place is amazing. What a hidden gem! Daniele treated me like family as soon as I walked in. I just recently purchased a preowned Rolex and needed a professional to look it over. Daniele not only looked it over but taught me a ton about watchmaking while I was there and showed me all his watchmaking equipment. He has every instrument under the sun from an amplitude check, to even a deep water tester to just name a few. He is also an AD for Omega to boot which I will be bringing in next as I own an old Seamaster Deville that needs an overhaul. Now that I found a real watchmaker right here in Greenwich, Daniele now has a customer for life in me. I am a huge fan of automatic and mechanical watches and for years I wished I knew a solid watchmaker that I can physically meet and I've finally found that at Daniele Watchmaker. My experience was amazing. I cannot recommend this business highly enough. My watch was running slowly. Daniele checked it on the spot using what I assume is a sophisticated machine and told me it was running exactly 89 seconds slowly per hour. He made me an espresso, had me wait in his cozy waiting area and adjusted it while I waited. He asked me if I wanted to waterproof it also and he did that as well. Ten minutes later he came out with the bill. It was so low I gave him 50% more than what he charged because I was so satisfied. He's a super nice guy as well. While I was waiting three other customers came in with watch issues. His answer was always the same - "no problem" - and he fixes most things while you wait. He even told one customer that they didn't need something done that they inquired about, demonstrating his integrity. If you need a watch repair don't go anywhere else. Please patronize Daniele. If I could give Daniele 10 stars, I would! I brought Daniele a vintage Omega watch (my father's watch from 1950). I had previously sent it to Omega in Switzerland to be repaired and restored, but they said they couldn't do it because the parts were unavailable. Daniele repaired and restored the watch to brand new condition. It keeps proper time. The scratches in the casing were magically taken out, and it was polished beautifully. The cost of the whole project was very reasonable, and he gave me a two year warranty! You can't beat the service and workmanship. I have already recommended Daniele to a few friends who I know have high end and vintage watches. This find is not a home run. It's a grand slam! read more

I felt the need to add to the reviews here on Yelp. Daniele is far more skilled than just being able to change batteries as most of the reviews here lead you to believe. I am a long time Vintage Rolex and Omega Collector. His work is exemplary. He is trained in both Omega and Rolex and I have personally had him service over 20 automatic and chronometer watches for me. His work has been excellent and he is highly qualified. No reason to travel to NYC anymore. No need to pay Authorized Dealers their exorbitant prices and wait for months because we have a great watchmaker right in our backyard who is reasonably priced with a quick turnaround. Excellent service and price I've been trying to find a watch service through Connecticut that carried my crown, stem and crystal for a month (A big hit on the watch caused a lot of damage). I finally found Daniels and on the first call I was able to send a picture of the stem and he confirmed they had it in stock! 30 minutes later I arrived and they replaced all of the broken parts and fully serviced the watch while I waited. I have my favorite watch back! Plus the price is very reasonable. I don't want to just mention the service, the entire experience was great. Very inviting, happy and courteous staff. Excellent professional service. Friendly and priced right. Been looking for a good watch shop. He did a fantastic job and the watch repair and reasonably priced. I had a watch that was sent in a few times to other shops. The second hand stopped but twitched. Those shops couldn't find anything wrong and just changed the battery which seemed to kick start it for only three months before it would happen again. Daniele looked at the watch and took about 3 minutes before diagnosing what the problem was. There was bits of rust inside the watch that interfered with the gears working properly. He replaced the parts and sealed it up tight, polished and it's all working like new. read more

I came here because of the excellent reviews, and I was very happy with the results. I brought in a few watches to change the batteries, but the main reason was to have my father's Omega Constellation repaired and cleaned. They took a quick look at it and then gave me a very reasonable estimate for price and time. I picked the watch up today, and the results surpassed my expectations. Just purchased my new to me speedmaster. All of a sudden it started making a knocking noise. I went to omega to resolve the issue and was quoted $900.00 and it would take 3-6 months, I thought that was completely absurd and I went searching else where for a different watchmaker and Found Daniele vecchio in Greenwich ct. i received a watch for my birthday but the band was to large. I sent a message to Daniel and he responded immediately. He told me he would be able to shorten the band. The guys that work here are great, every time you walk in you are offered water/coffee, really try to make you feel comfortable. As to the actual service, I had my Oris serviced by an AD's watchmaker, and after getting it back it ran worse than before servicing. They messed up the crown, couldn't keep time. Went to Daniele's and spoke to the owner about this and he gave me a very fair price to fix what they had done, and in the time I've gotten the watch back it has run perfectly with no issues. I highly recommend Daniele. Brought my beloved Omega to him after having dropped it in the shower and it was letting in water. I had already tried two other watch makers before Daniele and neither had been able to restore its waterproofness, one had even removed a clamp from within the watch and not replaced it. Brought my vintage Speedmaster for service. My watch is over 50 years old. My Speedmaster had the hands replaced prior to me purchasing it and Daniele offered to match the lume color to the lume on the dial. During the service Daniele kept me up to date on the progress with photos. Two weeks later it was complete. It came out better than expected. Daniele has a great eye for attention to detail. Daniele is a true master craftsman and a professional of integrity. He recently overhauled my Panerai Luminor as it was constantly running slow and even stopping AFTER having done two overhauls by Panerai in the last 2.5 yrs. In addition, Panerai takes 8 weeks (best case) to service but Daniele did it in two weeks (even with his massive backlog of projects).
