The project involved boards that lock in both directions (angle/angle) making it more complicated. They allowed me to supply both the flooring and the glue for the project. They came out quickly to give an estimate which was very competitive. When given the go ahead, they were onsite within a few days as promised. There was a minor issue with glue sediment causing hazing on the floor which became noticeable the next day after cleaning, but when this was brought to their attention, the owner was at our house the next day to correct the issue which he did. We are very happy with them and intend to use them in the future.

I had very high expectations going into the project, and Halina and her team at Aspiro Renovations exceeded my expectations with the job, timeframe and budget. The major highlight in working with Aspiro was the flexibility in execution. The team worked very hard to deliver my vision for the apartment whilst keeping within time and cost parameters. The team is very innovative and finds solutions when new problems are discovered. My building is older, so when you do a full renovation like what I did, you are bound to come across unexpected issues. (ie old piping, walls aren't straight, etc). One of the major differences between Aspiro and other contractors that I have worked with is transparency. Throughout the process, Halina was very good at letting me know various options and their price implications. Therefore, when the final bill came, there were no surprises (and when scope was reduced, the line items were removed thereby reducing overall cost). This is a breath of fresh air compared to the "rape and run" and "hostage" type attitudes of other New York City contractors. I would recommend Aspiro Renovations for any job big or small. It was work for my 80 year old mom's place. -They wanted cash all up front before they even began - that will never happen. -Then they stopped in the middle of the job to start another job next door. -The did the area in front of the house cross wise so the water gets trapped from rolling down towards the street. -They were supposed to remove the fence and put it back in as the cement was setting - didn't happen, and as you see the fire hydrant .. that was what the base of the fence looked like including the air duct that goes to her basement. -They placed lumber down on the wet cement to walk across but it was not raised so now there are indentations of the lumber where the cement is. -There is most likely my mom didn't tell me about or I forgot but the one thing I do remember is they asked her to tip each of the workers, and told her how much to give them - don't they pay their workers? Well maybe they don't deserve to be paid after seeing their lack of skill, sloppy work, disregard for doing what they are paid to do correctly, and cheating a customer by NOT doing what they said they were going to do and then asking for the customer to supplement their wages! You can decide for yourself if these are the type of characters you would invite to work on your home or your parents' home. This is clear that those reviews you see online, mean NOTHING! If I had been around they would be on their hands and knees fixing it until their fingers bled. Beware of any business having a perfect score of rave reviews. We can always strive to be better and mess up sometimes but this seems to be ingrained in their DNA to be sloppy and own a distain for its customers.
