They talked and he explained some stuff to her... of course it's medical and doctory stuff. He's very attentive and will listen to your EVERY NEED. I sometimes text him on the phone regarding some things, he would respond to me each and everytime. HIGH RECOMMENDED if you need a primary doctor, he is super smart. When the other doctor was on vacation, he assisted by ordering the tests I needed and the medicines that I needed to expedite what was wrong with me. He isn't my primary doctor but he is still willing to help me and figure out what is wrong with me. I feel he would be able to figure out what is wrong with me. Oh yeah, I only been to his office ONCE, all the other times were on the phone!!! Thanks Dr Bradford, you're awesome... I will recommend you to anyone that asks for a great doctor!!!

His manner is gentle, calm, unhurried. In addition to treating the problem you're seeing him for, he will discuss any question you have about your physical or mental well-being -- nothing is off-limits. There is always time. His concern is the total person. It is genuine. He is tireless in his quest to educate each patient about his or her own health. He tailors his specific recommendations to you, and then he will push you to do even better, always within your abilities. Each time I see him, he references new studies or new findings and presents them as they relate to me. I leave his office with fresh motivation and specific actions to take to improve my overall health. Over the years, I have had to contact Dr. Rabin several times (I've used phone, text, and email) on urgent medical matters. He has always responded quickly and calmly, and was clear and decisive in his instructions. Throughout the COVID pandemic, Dr. Rabin has emailed his patients with his own thoughts on the latest quarantine, vaccination and booster research. I've passed these on to family and friends, who find them invaluable. Dr. Rabin is an exceptional doctor. I can't recommend his practice highly enough.

Dr. Singel, if answering the phone and speaking to potential patients is not your strong suit, perhaps investing in a receptionist would be worthwhile. Especially if a caller is apparently expected to first acknowledge that they are speaking to the king of neurosurgery before being worthy of basic courtesy. Sir, get a grip. I have tremendous respect for doctors, the education, training, sacrifice, and responsibility that come with the profession deserve respect. But respect is mutual. You could be the President of the United States, and if you speak to me disrespectfully, I am absolutely going to match that energy. A title does not exempt anyone from basic manners. Maybe Dr. Singel is an excellent doctor. Maybe he is a phenomenal surgeon. Maybe the people who know him personally think he is wonderful. I can only speak from my experience as a potential patient, and that experience told me his communication and interpersonal skills could use some serious work. People calling a neurosurgeon's office are generally not calling for fun. They may be scared, confused, in pain, or simply trying to understand what their first step is. If you cannot tolerate a few questions, a little small talk, or someone who does not already understand the process, perhaps squeeze one more year into all that schooling or at minimum, a workshop on communication, patience, and how to speak to people with basic respect. And maybe then you'll notice a difference in how people respond to you. Because the interaction I just had told me everything I needed to know. I would never put my health, trust, or life in the hands of someone who could not manage to show basic respect during a simple phone call. You may very well be an exceptional surgeon, Dr. Singel. Unfortunately, I'll never find out and based on that conversation, I'm perfectly okay with that.

While he reached the same conclusion as the other doctor, the way he explained the results--with clarity, context, and genuine care--completely changed my outlook. He has supported me throughout recovery by monitoring my progress, adjusting treatment as needed, clearly explaining test results, and, when medically appropriate, advocating on my behalf. His office is responsive, efficient, and easy to work with, and I can access appointment summaries, prescriptions, and invoices through a secure online portal. The difference between his care and that of big providers is night and day. If you want a neurologist who combines medical expertise with compassion and insight, Dr. Ostashko is outstanding.

During the office exam he asked me many leading questions but I never felt like he listened to my answers. He seemed to want to convince me that I was stressed out. He also seemed to want to convince me that I have a very healthy brain based on a recent MRI and that he could find nothing physically wrong with me. He told me my issues were likely due to something called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). He referred me to Stanford's website where I found out that this is the newest name for what was historically called Hysteria in women, AKA Conversion Disorder. I went to another neurologist and as it turns out, I have a very serious and physical neurological disease, one that requires medication and medical attention.
