Patients should not have to make an unnecessary trip to the office simply because they cannot get someone to answer the phone. I could not get anyone on the phone to schedule an appointment. I hope management addresses this issue and improves communication with patients.

The dentist there became a dentist in the Army and if that isn't a red flag, I don't know what is. I went for a cavity to be filled in May of this year. They billed my medical insurance instead of my dental insurance, hence the continuous denials from BCBS. I received a text reminder for my next appointment scheduled for 10/13 to which I cancelled. I had no intentions on EVER returning to this office. Fast forward to today 10/21/22 and I get a bill that says $132 is 30 days past due (never received a bill mind you) and a $35 no show, even though I cancelled. I get emails everyday from the post office with images of mail being delivered that day and not once was a bill from their office in there. Also, I have a permanent retainer and the dentist said he could remove them and fit me for a removable retainer. Gtfoh my guy. You're not an Orthodontist. This guy and his practice is FOS and nothing but A SCAM. Don't say I didn't warn y'all!

Cutting away gum and grinding on bone to expose more of your teeth and then sewing up my gums caused me some concern but Dr. Joe Passaro, my prosthodontist assured me Dr. Mugford was great at these and many other dental procedures. I was pleasantly surprised that after localized numbing I didn't feel any pain during both procedures. For a day or so after each procedure I felt minimal soreness. I think I was in her office at least twice a month for one thing or another, but Dr. Duarte and her ENTIRE team were extremely patient and kind. When I broke my night guard, they made me another one and rushed the order. When I lost that night guard, Dr. Duarte made me a temp one until I was eligible to get a custom-made one via insurance. Even though I was in her office all the time, her staff were very compassionate every time they saw me, and she expertly explained all of my options and let me decide, instead of just jumping straight to extraction. Well, my poor tooth finally cracked (down through the roots) and I was in desperate need of an extraction. Dr Duarte referred me to an excellent surgeon who extracted my tooth the SAME DAY! Both of them were very polite.They got my information right away and let me know that the doctor should be right with me. My appointment time was 4:00p.m., and I did get there right at 4:00. However, I still didn't wait very long and I was called back within 10 minutes. They took an x-ray of my tooth and within 5 minutes Dr. Geballa came in. He was very polite and helpful and let me know that even thought I didn't feel any pain, it is still recommended that I get the re-treatment done. Once the appointment was finished I met with Candy and she went over the pricing with my insurance and let me know what the insurance covers. She did state that I will have to pay when I book the appointment, which is fine because most offices require this, especially for a procedure. Before he could schedule the procedure, Shannon at the front desk stated she needed to contact our insurance company for a treatment plan. After waiting over a month with no update, my husband contacted our insurance provider directly and learned they had already sent the necessary documentation to your office. My husband then emailed a copy of the treatment plan directly to Shannon. At that point, Shannon informed us that payment was required upfront in full before the appointment could be scheduled, which we paid. However, when my husband arrived for the procedure, the doctor determined the tooth actually needed to be extracted, and no treatment was performed. Shannon assured my husband that our credit card would be refunded. Despite multiple follow-up calls over the past several weeks, we have still not received the refund. Furthermore, our insurance company has contacted your office directly to confirm that their payment to you was sent and OUR out-of-pocket responsibility is $0. We requested several times that our full payment be refunded back to our credit card and to date we have NOT received it.
