Morning of starting to service my pump before we both knew that the whole system needed to be replaced.
    Joanna M.

After having low water pressure for about 2 weeks or so, water stopped running on a Friday evening. Called many different companies to come out and with the many voicemails I left, Daniel returned my call. He explained his hourly rate, servicing he does and that's when I set an appointment for him to come out first thing in the morning to inspect my well pump. Arrived at 7:30am, began serving the pump, used his truck to remove the 297' feet deep pipes after noticing hardly any water coming up and began diagnosing the issue. Turns out there was a malfunction with the pump and mostly everything below needed to get replaced after he let me see the situation as well. Worked on replacing the pump all afternoon into the night. That same night, closing up the pump and turning it on, water was now coming out! It was gushing like a fire hydrant!! Dirt and gunk was coming out here and there so he mentioned we should let it run throughout the night so that the dirt/sand buildup doesn't clog the pipes and fill any household appliances (water heater, washer, etc) and that by morning there should be less of it. Agreed and then he came back the next morning. He put everything together and came up to the house to verify the water was running throughout the property and I couldn't express how grateful I was once I noticed how great the water pressure was. Pleased to have his company come out on such short notice and was able to promptly start the job! Daniel, thank you very much!! Oh and Daniel does not charge emergency fees on top of his regular hourly rate (lower than most of the other well pump contractors) so give him a call!!!! Does phenomenal work and has warranty as well

Had a new tank, pump control box and pressure switch installed

We really appreciate the quick response we received working with Ashley and Ray. Both very hard…read moreworkers, honest and communicative. We bought this property not having any experience with living off a well system. Turns out our tank was not holding air and had a leak in the piping system to our house. Ashley got a service person out right away and scheduled us to re-pipe the main. Ray was a pleasure to work with and very hard worker considering the Valley Center summer heat! We will for sure keep their contact information on hand if we ever need them. Price was right on our budget (ie: I didn't have to do the work). Thank you Ashley and Ray for a great experience.

After reading these reviews, I felt reassured that Ben Fain was reliable and honest. Unfortunately,…read moreBen's conduct with me bore little resemblance to all his positive reviews. Here is what unfolded recently ... My vacation home is a 150 miles away from my main home and I am hardly ever there. So I had to trust Ben completely when he said that he had replaced the well pump motor and that the well was now in good working order. Ben was not happy when I asked if it was okay to pay him in several days giving me time to verify the wells status. His previous temporary fix a week earlier didn't work at all, so I was a bit reluctant to pay this time without checking it out. Despite my hesitancy, he demanded that I pay him immediately via a credit card. So I paid in full based on what I believed was his honorable reputation. The well did work for a couple of watering cycles, but 2-3 weeks later it failed once again. Ben went out to investigate and stated that it was a minor issue and that he would fix it in couple weeks. About 2.5 weeks later, with temps close to 100 degrees and a lot of dying plants, I called Ashley his assistant to convey some urgency. She assured me that he would be out in a few days to make the repairs. Needless to say, he never showed up, nor were any of my increasingly desperate calls to his office ever returned.

ron review This is a…read moretale of two well companies. Our well opens into a sulphur deposit and what makes our water potable is a filtration unit that pulls out hydrogen sulfide (and iron) as our domestic water runs through it. This is the far less common way to treat that horrible smell, we know, but for now, it's what we've got ...Or had, until it blinked out first thing on a Saturday morning (of course). Fast forward to Monday morning. We tried to contact the company who installed it, but they'd sold off that part of their business. So, we called that company, left a message and didn't hear back from them. On Tuesday, we used their online appointment setting form and someone did come out on Wednesday morning. They readily admitted they didn't know anything about these filtration units which didn't surprise us as none of the well companies we'd previously dealt with did. But they told us they'd research them and figure out how to fix ours, assuring us they understood the critical situation we were in. When we hadn't heard back from them by Friday afternoon--now almost a week without potable water-- my wife suggested I reach out on the Anza Bulletin Board Facebook group, which is undoubtedly the best idea she has ever had because someone in the group suggested Ron Coleman of Artesian Water Well and Filtration Services. I looked at the company's profile page and it, in fact, listed sulphur removal system repair as one of the services they offer. Also, unbelievably, it stated 24/7 service. So, on a Sunday afternoon, on a whim of desperation, I called and left a message fully expecting not to hear back--despite what they advertised--till the next day. Wrong. I got a call back a couple of hours later and after explaining the problem to Ron, he agreed to come out for a look on Monday. On Monday, he came out to inspect the problem, contacted his supplier, tried to get a rebuild kit to save us some money. On Tuesday, the rebuild kit for that model having been discontinued, he drove out to Ontario to pick up the necessary replacement part. On Wednesday, he installed it. On Thursday, he called to make sure everything was ok (which, happily, it was). And that other well company, the one we first contacted? We still haven't heard back from them. Ron and I had a chance to chat for a few minutes and it's clear he knows a few things. He knows how to show up when he says he will. He knows how to go above and beyond to make his clients happy. He knows how to be honest, courteous and respectful and to treat water emergencies like the emergencies they are. And he's also pretty darn good a fixing stuff. Here's the thing. There are some well companies out there that somehow manage to keep themselves in business, (God only knows how). There are some good, reputable companies out there to be sure. And then there is Artesian, which as far as I'm concerned, is in a class all by itself.

We had an irrigation well stop working in the middle of a heat wave. Ron was able to come out…read morediagnose the problem and get new parts ordered immediately. He performed the work as described and we will be using him again.
