The first time I came to AO&MS, was for a consultation. I met with the dental assistances for x-rays and information regarding: insurance, medical history, medications, previous complications, etc. Dr. Macholl came in afterwards and talked to me about what he would be doing during the surgery, what I should and shouldn't do before the surgery side-effects after surgery, medications (pills to take before and after the procedure and IV sedation medications), and answered any questions I needed to ask. After meeting with Dr. Macholl, I was met by a woman who talked to me about the approximate total payment of the surgery and my next appointment time. Day of Surgery- (Before) Dr. Macholl and his staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were telling me the step-by-step process of what they were doing and explaining what everything was and what it was going to do. Dr. Macholl had four emergency medications on hand in case an allergic reaction had occurred from all the medications. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and safe. (After) Fast-forward after the procedure. I felt very sleepy. I awoke with ice packs wrapped around my head. Dr. Macholl's staff were very cautious and helpful of helping me to my car.
