I have been seeing Dr Lide and his staff for 4 years and couldn't be happier! They have always treated me and my family with the upmost care and respect. We left our last dentist because of the unpleasant way they handled business. Dr Lide and his staff are very courteous and willing to answer any questions we might have. The first thing I noticed was the relaxed atmosphere of the waiting room- big couch and cushy chairs to sit and wait with a tv on to help pass the time. The decor is aimed to put one at ease, very helpful in an industry that intimidates most people. The staff are very friendly and gentle, honest and care a great deal about giving each patient a pleasant visit. I love the sun glasses they give us to wear during exams/procedures! The lighting is even pleasant with "clouds" covering what would normally be harsh fluorescent lights. The pricing I have found to be very reasonable and Dr Lide has gone to many lengths to ensure we get affordable care and don't need any unnecessary treatments done. I've had spots before that another dentist might have wanted costly work done right away, where as with Dr Lide he tells me what I can do to prolong the decay so that I can tackle each incident spaced out and not break the bank doing so. The cleanings are rarely unpleasant and I have to admit even cavity fillings don't bother me like they used to. After being in pain for what almost felt like weeks, I started looking for a dentist in my area to get checked. I bumped into Dr. Lide's information through my insurance provider and gave them a call. I spoke with Sylvia and she was phenomenal, she asked questions about my pain and was able to schedule my appointment for the following day at 8am. She knew I wanted to go in the same day but wasn't able to fit me in. We agreed that I'd go into the office to fill out paperwork so I could be in and out the day of my appointment due to work. As I was driving to the office Sylvia called me and said Dr. Lide would be able to see me the same day!!! As I arrived Makayla introduced herself and gave me the paperwork, then Sylvia came and introduced herself. The staff is great! Not a dull moment and not to mention, Dr. Lide, he was informative and did not miss out a single detail about my dental problem. Not only was he informative, he assured me that my problem is very common and it made me feel at ease. I'm THAT person who tries to self diagnose through browsing on the internet, but not today lol. I've been a patient of Dr. Lide's for a year and a half now, and it has been the best dental experience I could hope for. I would highly recommend this office. It is well designed, clean, and you couldn't ask for a better staff! They have remembered my name since day one and have always made me feel as if I'm part of a family when I come in. I initially came in terrified of the dentist. I had 3 teeth with huge holes in them that could not be saved. They constantly caused me pain, and I couldn't imagine having someone touch them, much less remove them. After an initial tooth cleaning and x-ray exam, Dr. Lide and his assistant sat down with me and explained everything that was going on with my teeth in full detail. We charted a path of progress so that I would know exactly what work was needed and the best steps to take. By educating me in regards to my teeth, they made me feel much more comfortable and confident about getting the work that I needed done. I've been to Dr. Lide's office many times and they're consistently the best dentist I've seen. I especially appreciate how much Dr. and his staff care about my wellbeing and the prevention of more work. Also, the office is comfortable and visits painless because they explain everything and constantly make sure I'm OK. While I don't use it, I know they even have sedation treatment. I have taken advantage of Invisalign through Dr. Lide and it's changed my life in so many ways for the better. I'm surprised at the 2 negative reviews here because I've never seen or felt what the posters have mentioned. I was even late once (by well longer than 6 minutes) and they were forgiving and understanding that things happen. However, Nicole's review seems to be more of an advertisement for Park Haven Dental and the other reviewer probably would have benefitted from sedation. I trust this office completely and am fortunate to finally have such a good dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Lide's office to friends, family, and anyone that wants to be treated right. read more

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. LIDE!!!!!!!! Dr. Lide has always been professional and courtious to myself and my family. I have visited him a couple times a year for the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. He always has been very friendly and is great at helping you relax and feel comfortable. His place has always been clean and inviting, while the staff was kind and helpful. A friend of mine also brings his family up to have check ups and work done a couple times a year. This friend lives in houston (willing to drive 6 hours to a dentist), so he thinks very highly of Dr. Lide just as I do. While I only drive 1.25 hours to have work done, I would be willing to drive further if he moved. I am not sure what the prior poster had occur with their visit, but I would never call Dr. Lide anything even remotely bad. If you are looking for a Longterm Dentist who seems to truely care, then try Dr. Lide and I know that you won't be disappointed. I know I am not! read more

A fraud? How could anyone who's talked to this guy call him a fraud? Dentist or not, if you're even reasonably good at charcater judgement, you would be able to trust him. I needed some work done that was traumatic to me........a wisdom tooth extraction, for example, after being able to hang onto all 4 my entire life. Dr. Lide's calm demeanor and matter-of-fact, realistic attitude put me at ease. I knew that it would go as well as possible, given the situation, but I really didn't expect it to go SO well. I saw a couple of young kids in there during my visits, and could tell that Dr. Lide and the staff are also very good with children. Overall, the attitude of the entire office seemed to be, "Well, this is unfortunate, but we can fix it, so let's just get going and make it as painless as possible." Of course, when there are no problems, it's even better! ;-) Oh, and if they ever decide to get rid of that rug in the waiting room, I call first dibs. read more

These guys rock... I had not seen a dentist in 7 years, but there was no judgement and they were warm and inviting and just really nice to me. One of the really cool things that they did there was had a TV in your area so you could watch your favorite channel while you had your teeth cleaned, filled (me), or plucked (I hope no one ever ever). Dr. Lide was great and made sure I was comfortable the whole time and checked on me often to make sure I wasn't in any pain (I had ten cavities that he was fixing). Overall, he is a great dentist to go to for regular maintenance or if you have a fear of dentist's offices. Dr. Lide and his staff are very comforting and accommodating and I think could help with any fear someone might have. Unfortunately they told me I had to floss, which is the only thing I hate more than brushing my teeth. read more

I've been to Dr. Lide for many years--even tried other dentists that just didn't compare. He is the best dentist in the area and from afar. I used to live in San Antonio, Lubbock, Dallas, Rockwall and now have found him in Richardson. He's very personable, the office is very warm and friendly and I love his assistants and front office staff. Exams were always VERY thorough, and accurate (compared his knowledge with other dentists). I also had my wisdom teeth removed and it was NOTHING like the horror stories I've read online and friends have told me about. The stories about not being able to walk, telling crazy stories to the staff, not remembering waking up, the pain, etc. It was completely pain free and I was completely coherent the moment I woke up. I have been going to Dr Lide since 1996. He is wonderful and is NOT the kind of dentist that tries to tell you need this and that just to make money. Yesterday I was in Mexico and broke my front tooth. I called him from Mexico and told him and he squeezed me in this morning when I flew home to fix my tooth. I am now in Atlanta this evening for work and my front tooth looks like it did when I left for Mexico! He is the kind of dentist that take the time to know you and your your teeth, and not the kind of dentist that rushes you in and out. The staff in his office is the best. They work with you and are very detailed in the financials of your teeth and helping people work within their budget. The bottom line is they care about you and how your teeth look as it is a reflection on them and their services. read more

Dr. Lide is the best dentist I've ever been to. My family and I have been going to Doctor Lide for many years now and he has not only helped my husband with his horrible gag-reflex, but has painlessly removed my wisdom teeth and fitted me with Invisalign. When I lived in Lubbock, our previous dentist wanted to charge an arm and a leg for removing my wisdom teeth AND to fill a cavity. Luckily I moved for my job, and found Dr. Lide through the recommendation of a friend. I love his chair side manner, humor, and especially his staff. I have gone to see Dr. Jeffrey Lide for the past 10 years and actually look forward to going in for cleanings because they do great work. I've always had a great experience. He is extremely gentle and very knowledgeable. He has excellent bedside manners and is a very personable gentleman. He is very patient and not pushy in any way. I have always referred him to anyone who's ever brought up dental (good or bad) because I know their experience at Dr. Lides office will be better. They say a person who has a bad experience is 10x more likely to share it than a person who has a good experience. I have to say going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do! Thank god I found a good one with an awesome staff. I was so nervous about getting a tooth pulled but going into the office and talking with Sylvia , then meeting Dr. Lide made me feel better. Sylvia was so nice and knew where I was coming from. She didnt stick to the regular dentist office talk. After getting me up to date with what was going to happen , we started talking about other stuff. Thing that had nothing to do about my tooth getting pulled. It calmed me down and made me feel like i wasn't in the dentist office as much. I had my mind on the funny stuff we were laughing at. Great staff, awesome dentist! I can easily say that going to the dentist in the DFW area in my past was worse than visiting a used car lot, nothing but sales, sales, sales. That's not what I found with Dr. Lide or his staff. They are honest, thorough and genuine. For the first time, in many years, I finally found a dentist that I can trust. He explains everything to me in detail and even has his staff show me my x-rays and photos to make sure I understand what I need to have done. It's been 5 years since my first visit and I have nothing but good things to say about my visits and my finished treatment, which includes a crown and some fillings. Dr. Lide and his staff are amazing. I had three crowns done last year and they look beautiful and natural. All of my experiences have been pain free and I've been completely relaxed (thanks to some laughing gas). My 10 year old son also see Dr. Lide. The staff was great to him and he was not at all scared or in pain. They have tv's to watch during treatment which makes the time fly by. I no longer fear the dentist thanks to Dr. Lide. I actually feel like I'm on a "mini vaca" during my treatment. His staff takes care of all the billing/insurance needs and always explains all the fees so that there are no concerns. My family has been going to Dr. Lide for at least 15 years. His office is very pleasant and comfortable, the staff warm and welcoming. The wait is never long...barely long enough to pick up a magazine. The hygienists are friendly and gentle. I have had the same one for several years, which gives continuity to my dental care. Dr. Lide is very calming, gentle and friendly also. He answers questions and explains things until I am satisfied that I understand. I had to have a crown put on, and dreaded the thought. Best office I've been to in a while. I had a tooth that was bothering me and after doing my research I concluded it was my bridge. When I went in for my appointment, they told me it was the tooth behind the bridge. The assistant Alishia worked fast and diligently to make sure I was comfortable during the process. I had a hard time cooperating without hurting the tooth when taking xrays but she went through great measures to make sure I didn't feel a thing. Dr. Lide is always friendly, patient, and makes you feel right at home. Him and his staff are exceptional at what they do and I greatly appreciate them. Five stars all across the board. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Lide for over 20 years (he's been seeing me since I first HAD teeth!) His office is like a family. Everyone is extremely friendly and very thorough. I go every 6 months and my mouth always feels extremely clean. I love that Dr. Lide never takes short cuts and always wants to make sure you are comfortable and your teeth/ mouth are healthy. Recently, I decided to get invisalign (9 years after braces - wear your retainer!!!) and Sylvia really helped to make sure I could get the best deal possible. Ok, so I've got 7 kids & need a patient, but thorough doctor. I need to know that my kiddos are in the the BEST care. Dr. Lide & his hygienist were really great! It was a little hectic with most of us there, but Courtney, their hygienist was really patient and gentle with the kids. She was able to get my youngest twins to actually sit still & complete their cleanings and sealants. (That's a first! HA!) There was news of a few cavities, but I got thumbs up from my kids on making that our dental 'home'. The office even did follow up calls to see how we were doing after our fillings. read more
