He was an Iran Vet, he had been severely burned on his arms, I could see the suffering, though healed, obviously was beyond any descriptive words... I had an extended tummy tuck with liposuction this past summer with Dr. Casso. I had researched about 20 other surgeons on the internet and actually had inteviews with 5 surgeons before deciding on Dr. Casso. Since this is such a big surgery, I wanted as much knowledge as I could get. My family Dr and OB-GYN had only great things to say about him. I found Dr. Casso and his staff to be professional, friendly and discreet. Dr. Casso told me exaclty what he could do for me and I knew what to expect. I still have a way to go, but now, I don't hide from mirrors. I love to look at my new flat tummy!! It's never been flat before!! Oh, and by the way, I had liposuction from another doctor a couple of years ago and had terrible bruising. I had no visible bruising after my liposuction with Dr. Casso. I had a face "readjustment" that made me look years younger. Dr. Casso and his staff were very professional and caring. Before the procedure, I was given a booklet to read that fully explains the procedure and all the risks involved. I was given ample time to have all my questions answered. I have had several post operation visits (without additional cost) because he wants to make sure that all the side effects have resolved before he considers the surgery complete. I've never had to wait long in his office. To me, the ultimate compliment for Dr Casso came from the hospital staff at St. John's. As they were performing the pre-op tests, and during my prep for the procedure, several of the nurses told me that they or their relatives have had surgeries with Dr. Casso and that he is very gentle and extremely careful during the surgery, taking his time to get the best results. I felt that if the people who see many surgeries come through thought enough of him that they would trust their own body with him, that was a high recommendation. I had been warned that I might have a lot of bruising from the surgery, but mine was minor. I was told by a nurse that was because Dr. Casso is so careful in moving tissue during the surgery. Dr. Casso performed a facelift and upper and lower eyelid surgery on me three months ago. He and his staff are exemplary. I've never waited more than 10 minutes in their office and they are all very attentive. I was very scared and apprehensive about having the procedures done, but after meeting Dr. Casso and his staff I felt at ease. The night after the procedures I was a bit uncomfortable just from the dressing and some stiffness, but I experienced absolutely nothing that could be characterized as pain, and never took any pain medication. The aftercare was also excellent, as I was seen in his office every few days for the first three weeks to ensure everything was healing appropriately. After one week, my bruising was almost gone, and within two weeks it barely looked as though I had surgery. At six weeks I went to an annual training with colleagues who I had not seen since last year. I got so many comments such as "you must not be working as hard because you look so rested," "you look wonderful, did you change your hair," etc. I wanted a very natural look and that is what I have. I am a physician myself and selected Dr. Casso to do upper and lower blepharoplasties (eyelid surgery) and neck/jawline revision based on strong recommendations from doctors and nurses in the community. My overall experience with Dr. Casso and his staff was incredible! At the first consultation, he was extremely informative and most importantly he took his time going over everything you needed to know about the surgery. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or misinformed in terms of what to expect about my breast augmentation. I was also very impressed with his staff. I have had three surgeries with Dr. Casso. He was recommended by two close friends. The first two surgeries were to remove a benign cyst on the back of my neck. The first surgery went perfectly, but after about five years, the cyst grew back. This commonly occurs and I went back to Casso for a second surgery where he removed a little more tissue and a lymph node. That surgery and recovery also went perfectly. I have had two (2) previous breast implant surgeries (used two different doctors) and with both, I had capsular contracture. When I went to see Dr. Casso, we discussed in length all of my options to try and make sure it did not happen again. I also had pictures of how I wanted to look (I wanted to look more natural, my other implants you could tell where implants). We also discussed what size I wanted after I healed because the last doctor made me smaller, even though I insisted I wanted to be the same size as my first surgery.
