I believe that Dr. Beggs is a good doctor, but I feel it is worth mentioning my experience in case you are doing research for a colonoscopy because ultimately, the doctor is responsible for his office. I have been trying to make an appointment for two years and the story is always the same when you call: "We'll have the nurse call you." That's not a problem except it takes 2,3, or 4 days for them to call back and sometimes they don't call back at all. If you happen to miss the call, you start the whole process over again. It gets old in a hurry. I have even gone twice in person to get an appointment and have been told "the nurses are busy and can't see you." This year, I finally got an appointment when a "Scheduler" called me. A week prior to the colonoscopy, I called telling them I had not received the packet that gave me instructions on what to do. They said "the nurse will call you," but no one did. I called back just days before the scheduled colonoscopy and told them it was urgent that I get a call back that day because I had no packet with instructions and no prescription for the drink. They said "the nurse will call you," but no one did. This morning, I decided I needed a new doctor because this is not the level of care I want AND there was no time left because the prep drink would begin tomorrow morning. When I called to cancel the colonoscopy (of course I had to leave a message), I got a call back in 17 minutes. When I didn't answer, I got another call in 25 minutes. It's like dealing with a cable company. When you threaten to leave, they finally give you some customer service. Wouldn't it have been easier to just call me last week when I toted my phone around day and night waiting for the call? I am definitely still changing doctors. If you're from Dr. Beggs office or the Diagnostic Clinic, don't get on here and post that you now care about my problem and CERTAINLY don't ask me to "reach out" to you so we can work it out. I have already tried that, and it didn't work out for me. Please, just change your call back process so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more
