For sub-$200, they re-did the inseam in the pants, hemmed the cuffs, took in the jacket on the sides, and re-did the shoulders. The suit looks amazing and when I wore it to an event several days later, I received a number of compliments. I will be bringing in several shirts to be tailored- really impressed with the work. The prices are slightly higher than other tailors, but I thought in terms of "value" vs. absolute "price." Nothing feels better than wearing tailored or custom clothes.

They said the dress wasn't ready and I needed to come between 5pm and 5:30pm. At pickup, I couldn't get it off and it had to be ripped from my body with help from someone working there. I'm going to the wedding alone so can't wear a dress I will be stuck in. He said he could fix it but not now because they were closing so it won't be ready until 9am the next day and my flight is at 7am. Keep in mind, they wouldn't let me pick the dress up before 5pm. I literally paid extra to have it be done today and he won't even give me money back because he "did what I asked him to". I said "so you don't care that the dress doesn't fit me then" and he straight up said "No". They don't provide a good service at all and admit to your face they don't care.

The few dresses that were more classic came in a very limited size range. If you're bigger than a size 12, they have nothing for you. Our consultant barely conversed with us and acted almost annoyed at our presence. There wasn't even music on in the salon so myself and the bride's party sat there in silence as we waited. And the chairs they offered could use some replacing. I was worried they would break since they clearly were VERY used. All in all, my friend tried on one dress and we were there for a total of 20 min. Our consultant couldn't care less and was very cold. Would never recommend this salon to anyone. Thankfully we had a wonderful experience at Lotus Bridal earlier in the day or else my friend would have been very discouraged. A very bizarre and off-putting experience. Seems like they should close if they don't want customers in their store.

Nancy works as a Pattern Maker in the fashion district for a Designer who sells in Dept Stores. I showed her a picture of a Designer Wedding Dress and she made it for me, easy breezy! I LOVE MY DRESS, Perhaps MORE than the Designer's version. I went and picked out my own Fabric and Nancy charged me VERY LITTLE. I then had her make a dress for even LESS money for my teen niece for my wedding. Nancy took the measurements, looked at a few pictures for ideas and came back with a gorgeous dress for my niece. Nancy IS a miracle worker and made me feel as though I had some part in making my own dress.

Her charge for creating a custom pattern and sewing my dress was more than reasonable. We ran into some problems during the process of creating my dress because I wasn't sure what I wanted and ended up not liking the first dress that she made a muslin version of (the dress was beautiful in theory, but made me look fat in reality). I then showed her other dresses that I liked and asked for her opinion at which point we came to a consensus and were on our way. Later, I received a call from her telling me she couldn't go on with the project and it turns out that she has been burned by other people before (one of whom had her make several dresses for her, promised to pay for them when she had money or some such thing, and then skipped out on paying), so I am not surprised that she was nervous about dealing with someone whom she perceived as being uncertain and might not come through in the end after she has put all the work in. Needless to say, we worked it out - I paid half the cost of up front and didn't change my mind about the dress and she made it for me and finished it the week before my wedding. All in all, I think that we were both very happy. I hope to have her make other dresses for me in future as not many people can create any dress that you want without a pattern. I would recommend that you have a good idea of what you want before you see her perhaps including trying on dresses at a store beforehand so that you know what styles look good on you and thus avoid having any of the issues that I had and still end up with a beautiful dress. Note: we met in the fashion district near her office and had fittings in the bathroom of a church nearby as she has no office space herself. She can come to your home to take measurements and to do fittings, but she lives in PA, so it isn't easy for her to do so and you will need to make arrangements far in advance to make sure that you get your dress in time. Also, she does have a full time job and does outside work for other people, so you may want to consult with her well in advance to make sure you can get the dress you want in time. She dropped the dress off at my home in person at the end - for which I was grateful considering all of the wedding preparations going on at that time.

Natasha altered it well, and it fit before I left the store - however, upon getting to my wedding and hanging up my dress, we realized the inner most layer of fabric still had about 10 safety pins in it and the hem was never finished. I was constantly stepping on the innermost layer. Also, she had told me she would add to the bustle on the dress to be more secure, which was not done. The bustle broke off the dress, and the back of the dress ended up having to be safety pinned in order for me to dance during the evening. If not for having very crafty friends and family, the poor job Natasha did would have really affected the evening. If given Natasha as a seamstress, ensure everything you've asked for is 100% completed before leaving.
