Came here on Christmas Night for the snow experience and it was so fun. Arrived early to get seats but plenty of people were already here listening to the DJ and enjoying his interactive fun with the kids. The snow began promptly at 7 and lasted about 15 minutes, which was just enough time for the kids to enjoy. The place was beautifully decorated for the holiday season, so there were plenty of photo ops. Can't wait until next year when they bring it back because it really is a nice way to enjoy "snow" in the warm weather and not too far from home. My daughter loved the experience!!! read more

Dania Pointe is 102 acres mixed used development that is going to consist of hotels, luxury apartments, shopping, and restaurants. It is one of the largest development projects in South Florida right now at a cost of $800 million dollars. The complex resides on the property that used to be Boomers. South Florida's only roller coaster the Hurricane once stood where the development is now located. The first phase of retail is now open. There is an Ullta, Beauty, Five Below, TJ Maxx, Brands Mart, Verizon, Starbucks, Aspen Dental, Shoe Carnival, Men's Warehouse, and Hobby Lobby. Slated to come are a Padrino's Cuban cuisine, Too Jays deli, and Firehouse Subs. I came over after lunch in the area to check things out. Right now only a few stores are open with a bunch of empty space. So far I am not too impressed with the mix of retail shops. They are all generic stores I have closer to home. I haven't seen anything that is going to be drawing me over. I'll have to see how things shake out when the development is finally completed to see if it's going to earn my dollars. read more

Lucky me to live so close to this wonderful dining and shopping area. When it was being built I didn't know what to expect. Than little by little I would come back to my favorites! Top of the list and not in order of preference the following: Tommy Bahamas it is a little bit of everything I love indoor outdoor eating great food and drinks! Shopping what girl doesn't like that! Highly recommend the Mojito served with a fresh sugar cane stick. Tipsy Salon and Nailbar this is my new favorite place for my nails pay the extra $5. For polish with extra shine the wine served is delicious. Firebirds been there a couple times with hubby love the Pineapples soaked in Vodka on the bar a must try for every visit. Outback clean, bright and new! Great for lunch nice cold crisp salads. Too Jay's did you say deli! Definitely get the Black and White cookies here for all your sweet tooth needs! Interesting concept but not yet completed. An awesome exotic car show this past weekend showed the poor parking issues and lack of space needed for these super events however. The property is massive and used for retail, restaurants, hotels, and living apartments/condos also. The mixed place is far from complete on East and North sides with lots of condos being built. Stores are more boutique with a couple names like Hobby Lobby, Sprouts, Brandsmart and Five Below. Warning that parking is bad and even garage is far to small for influx on weekend with show or use of property. Several restaurants are lined thru including Toojays, Tommy Bahamas, and Firebirds. Do not attend DANIA POINTE FOOD & WINE festival. What an utter disappointment! We got there early but the line was so long, 2 hours long , we eventually got inside about 8pm. Then to our dismay the lines for the vendors were so long that it was just a complete waste of time. We decided to cut our losses $35.00 each, it was 4 of us, and we left. We ended up eating at a nearby Mexican restaurant. From my observation all the outside restaurants benefited as many people felt the same way. This was oversold! Huge Fail!! I want my money back! Organizers probably made a lot of money delivering a horrible experience to thousands of people! read more

Don't ever go to the Wine and Food festival here. It's a sheer rip off. We paid $35 per person tickets sold in advance. When we got here it was an hour long line to get in and then another half hour wait to get any kind of food or drink. They clearly oversold and many people were leaving unhappy including us. We had to go to Ft. Lauderdale to get dinner. A complete waste of money. We won't be coming here again. Feel bad for the businesses that are trying to promote. This is a big stain. read more

ZERO STARS I have sent this letter to Dania Pointe and to Eventbrite. I hope you can help me resolve this issue. Eventbrite sent me a link that was supposed to connect me to the organizer of the event.... The link does not take me there. Dania Pointe food and wine festival was a huge disappointment. An incredible disaster. I encouraged another couple to join us, a fun night out. What an embarrassing mess! We got to Dania Pointe food and wine festival at about 5:15 PM. The lines were incredible, it wrapped around the whole plaza. It took us approximately three hours to get into the event. After waiting for three hours we finally got in. We get in, the lines were also so incredible inside. We couldn't possibly get anything to eat. Not even a drink . This was one of the worst organized events I have ever attended in my entire life. We tried waiting in one line, hoping to get a taste...not successful! We ended up at about 9:15 going to a restaurant...CT Taqueria to get something to eat and to drink. I am requesting a refund to your Dania Pointe food and wine festival. What a horrible experience! I would like my $74 refunded. BTW.... ZERO STARS! Lauren read more

I am loving what they did at Dania pointe. I went to urban outfitters where they have the cutest things and took a long walk around. There are plenty of stores and plenty of space to walk around. It's a nice day trip. read more

2.5 This new shopping are somehow missed the mark for me. It is nice, new and clean and offers plenty of shopping options (big box stores and plenty of restaurants), however, the design of the place is lackluster. Seemed very cookie cutter, generic and corporate America. Shops at Pembroke Gardens is similar but worse. Wish they would have upped the landscaping like the Falls or Bal Harbour. For a more unique experience, I'd probably go to Las Olas in nearby Fort Lauderdale. read more

We happen to receive some complimentary tickets to the Dania Pointe food and wine festival and it was quite a delight. The plaza reminds me a lot of Pembroke gardens and the ambiance is very neat and clean. The event was held at the "lawn" and had many sponsors that have locations in the plaza such as Cooper's Hawk, Cucina, Padrinos, Tommy Bahama, CT Taqueria, In Ramen, the Marriott and more!!! The samples were very generous for the most part and the beer samples never ran out. We were able to try Cuban, Italian, and Mexican cuisine all in the same setting. It was definitely an amazing way to be introduced to a plaza with so much to offer. It seems to be very kid friendly as well so families are more than welcome to have a great time. We also were able to snag some tickets for the Dania Beach Improv which is also in the plaza. It was a great atmosphere full of drink options and even more laughs. Nice place to stroll around. No small businesses very commercialized by chains and mall regulars.

Love the area and can't wait for it to finally be completed. We have walked around the area stoping at restaurants and stores a couple of times and have always enjoyed the experience. So far so good! While this plaza is still not fully constructed it has brought a ton of new stores and restaurants to the area. I work in east Hollywood and I'm sure others who do can say they have been in a lunch rut. There is a bunch of new options here at Dania Pointe. It has also brought stores that once you could only find out west to the south east side of Broward County. I think this will be a successful development. Especially with all of the new hotels! It has made traffic a little busier on the already crowded Stirling Road but as they say, that's progress! read more

I walked into the store the first time and felt ignored. Coming from a strong customer service background, it was disappointed and left. However, I went in the second time and sales associate approached me and came to the conclusion I was not going to buy anything so he walked away. Enter Lerey who sold me a sofa and a television which I really needed and was "just looking". His exact words were "you are going to buy this today". The price was right, the color was right, the size was right. He found the solutions to my problems and I went home happy. The following day I went back and purchased something else from him. This store is beautiful and centrally located. The manager's accommodated me and even offered me a job. Needless to say Lerey saved the day and I will only buy from him. He made the difference! We purchased a full set of appliances for our new Kitchen this past October. We worked with Claque in the appliance dept at the Dania Store. We ran into two major issues with one of the appliance units. Not once but twice Claque and Rob K went above and beyond to ensure that our issue was resolved quickly and with minimal inconvenience to us. I have purchased from numerous box stores and was quite sure our situation would end poorly. I am thrilled to report the exact opposite. A huge thank you to both Claque and Rob K. The problems we encountered were outside of Claque (our Salesman) control but with the assistance of Rob K his floor manager we received solutions and excellent customer service. I am confident if we had not had their support we would still be on the phone and would be no closer to having a resolution to our problem. read more
