Took a big sniff of the homemade chocolates at Schakolad Chocolate Factory. The plaza is one block west of the iconic 17th Street Causeway Drawbridge. Sufficient parking for the amount of businesses and did not notice any EV spaces. The service and food at Ethos Greek was impeccable but slightly pricey, while one slice of cheese pizza at Pizza Piez was pretty good NY style. Searched for Easter gifts at the Dollar Tree but was unsuccessful finding the right one. Good plaza if you're in the area to find a good bite or shop til you drop after the beach.

We looked forward to shopping and ending at the Foodcourt- the Sbarro had a huge hot and cold buffet! The last time I was here was in 2014 when they updated the food court and it was fabulous! I've been reading about the new plans and how decrepit it is now. I decided to stop by after Church to see for myself I parked in the Orange Lot and came up the escalator and went right to Macy's! I was extremely impressed with Macy's. A huge beautiful store. Great sales and I actually bought a gorgeous skirt! So as I see the mall it's like having 2 separate malls the half in front of Macy's looks like a full beautiful mall! Today, because it was raining, it was pretty busy! The Apple store was packed! Some great shopping options! Free Parking! Then I went to the other side by the food court and Dillards .., now I understand some of the negative reviews.. Half empty! The H&M is amazing! Huge store! Dillard's is great! The Restaurants ate first class and were very busy! I ate at the Capital Grille. P.F.Chang, Seasons 62 and the Blue Martini' First, I would fire your Development Realtor! It is extremely convenient! Great free parking! I was actually excited to see it was very busy today! I will be back!!'

In 1994 this plaza became a bustling shopping extravaganza in east Hollywood for years until the Dania Pointe mega shopping center stole a majority of it's customers. The parking lot has adequate spaces to support the plaza activity. Entry into the plaza is simple off Sheridan Street and Stirling Road. The Dave and Busters, BJ's Wholesale Club, Home Depot, Ross, City Furniture and Miller's Ale House have continued to stay in business but unknown if they are thriving. The Regal Oakwood Theaters is finally permanently closed and now the new ultra modern Regal Cinema has opened in Dania Pointe directly across the street. The Gold's Gym and the Big Lots are also out of business. There are several EV stations at the NE corner of the plaza. In my opinion, within the next three years, the Dania Pointe will eventually destroy all hopes of this plaza's lifeline.

After that deed was done, we wanted to go have dinner at Miller's Ale House and try their Osso Busco. Dinner was excellent! We got our bucket list item done and we were very pleased that coming to Oakwood Plaza worked out so well. There are a variety of popular stores at this mall, like Ross, Michael's, Marshall's, Office Max, HomeGoods, BigLots, Mattress Firm, and many small restaurants plus a movie theater. We highly recommend Miller's Ale House! Great food and great service there. You will find that most of the stores have good bargains and varied selections for all family members. Parking is abundant for all of the businesses there with wheelchair accessiblability.

The cleanliness of the store is questionable and the selection is limited. So limited that there is often more shelve space available than products. You can still find some good pieces though. Specifically if you looking for a new purse or shoes, you will most likely find a good deal. Another HUGE RED FLAG was the lack of sanitary wipes for the carts, specifically in the middle of a pandemic. When I asked the security guy working by the carts (the tall larger gentleman with braids) for a wipe he assured me the carts were already clean. When I returned my cart after purchasing my items I watched him put my cart with the "clean carts" and walk away. I brought it to his attention and called him out for lying about cleaning the carts but he didn't seem to care that he was being dishonest to customers. Would I go back? Maybe for a purse or shoes but probably would check out another location first.

It gives me more anxiety than necessary while shopping! I stopped in this store while I was in the area for dinner and had some time to kill. It just seemed to be a bit chaotic with things being disorganized and stuff just being all over the place. They do have many different departments and I actually have to say that I did like their pet section that has a great selection of toys for your four legged family members. The prices were good but nothing great. I did however find a couple of things I wanted to buy for our pup. The couple of workers I came across were very pleasant but I didn't end up buying anything here though. The checkout line was super long and moving slow so my pup will just have to wait for some toys from somewhere else
