I have been taking my daughter to the doctor office since she was born but lately the attention and service has lacked completely. Starting from the front desk person "Eli" needs extra training, she is just in her world gossiping while Checking patients in and not verifying things correctly. After checking in, the front desk told me everything was fine and to have a seat. Once we were called in, they checked my daughter's height, weight, vision, hearing, and blood pressure, then sent us to the room. When the doctor came in and I explained what the visit was for, she noticed they had me listed as self-pay -- even though I had uploaded my insurance card and provided all the insurance info. Turns out, they were trying to charge me as self-pay because they said they don't take my insurance, even though the provider is listed on my insurance card, in the insurance portal, and in the insurance directory. After about 30 minutes, someone named Eli came to tell me again that they don't accept it, and that both the office manager and billing manager were out. I was told the billing manager would call me when she returns (still waiting). Overall, I wasted over an hour for no reason -- this could've easily been avoided if they'd verified my insurance properly at check-in. read more

Horrible service, staff is rude and lost, doctors are rude and not friendly with the children. They take forever even if you make an appointment you will be waiting for hours for something so quick and simple. I went in with my 11 month old son and they told me the wait was 3 hrs and they weren't taking walk ins, i got there at 3:20, and i had just called and they said there last walk in is at 4:00. I have been going to Dr. Dangond's practice since my son was born in 2020 and my experience has always been great! When I go in for a sick appointment, the wait times can be long, which is understandable, but if you manage to get there before 9 am, that helps tremendously. On the flipside, when I get there with a scheduled appointment, I very rarely come across a significant delay. Everyone in the practice is attentive and accommodating. They take the time to answer questions and share guidance. They also now have an online portal which I really appreciate. I have been most in contact with Dr. Dangond and Dr. Herrera over the years and they are both amazing, hands down. I highly recommend Dangond Pediatrics! For me, they strike a perfect balance between accessibility and personalized care. read more

My kids have been seen by Dr. Dangond's practice since they were young and Dr. Dangond bought the practice from Dr. Askowitz. The Dr. Dangond and the other pediatricias are extremely knowledgeable and the staff is very professional. I started taking my son to see Dr. Dangond when he was still in practice with another Dr. who was recommended to me that retired (I even forgot his name). He has always been very professional, took his time with the kids, and very caring. The worst day for my son was having to say goodbye when he turned 21. He felt bonded to him. Really bad first impression! My nephew's appointment was at 1pm and he wasn't called in to a room until 2:30pm and the doctor didn't come in to see him until about 3pm. After that nurse came in 15min later to give him the shots. We ended up leaving there around 3:45pm for a 1pm appointment. Horrible! We were never given an update about the delay or even an apology. I hope this is a one time thing because the doctor was very sweet and gentle with the baby, so that's a plus. I just don't think it's very convenient to have a baby waiting for so long...due to the fact he was going to get shots his feeding was pushed back in order for him not spit up his milk or anything like that. If we would've known they were behind 2 hours plus the baby would've been fed since the beginning. Lets see how his next appointment is. read more

I am a true believer that we as humans are entitled to have bad days, but this happened twice, within a one year period. And because it made my my child feel extremely uncomfortable and making her not want to visit with a doctor hence will not hesitate to let others know about this practice and its doctors in particular DR.CONSTANT. Do NOT expect any bed side manners from the doctors at this practice. Specially from Dr. Constant - she has got to be one of the most unprofessional and unkind doctor my child has ever seen. My message to Constant: if you do not like where you are in life change it, find something you love to do, don't make patient's feel uncomfortable when they come to visit with you, you never know what they are struggling with, we came to you so you could give us a level of confront and to feel good, but to the contrary you made my daughter feel insecure and saying that she never wanted to visit this practice ever again. I PAY TOP dollar to be able to see and visit your practice, not to mentions the two/three hour wait which is extremely frustrating and costly to me as it puts me out of work. I've never written a review but this was a must. i gave birth to my second child and decided to switch pediatricians over to this officine for a while ago. and wow. i absolutely love all the Doctors here espeically dr dangond and constantine they are absolutely the best pediatricians in the miami area proabably even the state both always go over everything with me in detail and follow up on my childs. I am especially amazed with the young man in the front desk who has made the experience amazing for me. he always helps and answers all my questions in a details way and is a much better improvment than the old front desk staff.im very happy that they also started offering telehealth especially now with covid as it is extremely useful. if you are looking to switch you will be extremely happy and satified at this practice. the #1 in florida read more

We love Dr. Dangond and Associates. I started bringing my son here based on the recommendation from a friend and have been quite pleased with the attention and level of service provided. The only issue I have is that we don't always see the same doctor. My son has taken a liking to one of the doctors and becomes a bit distressed when he doesn't get to meet that one. Don't get me wrong, all the other doctors we have seen there have been great and are also extremely caring, but it's hard to explain to a 3 year old why he can't see Dr. ______ . I got stuck in their telephone system that either disconnects, does not take messages or messages are not returned. I called to get their email address to have a form completed. I finally left a message for their office manager regarding the form. 5 days later no response by phone and no email with the completed form. I resent the email. 7 days later no returned email with the form. Again left a detailed message with the office manager. Still waiting.... The only option I found to get a person is to use their appointment option. read more

I switch my kids in December of 2013 to Dr. Dangond after being with there last pediatrician seen birth and I am very glad that i switched them. He is very friendly and had a lot of patience for my son that is 4 and autistic. I also liked how the practice is not just Dr. Dangond but, also has 2 female pediatricians so, the wait time is not too bad. Also, i like how if a child is sick they don't need an appointment they can be seen the same day from the hours of 8am to 11am and from 2pm to 4pm. Oh and the staff is very helpful. I needed a speech and occupational prescription for my son and within a few minutes the max maybe 30 minutes they were ready for me to pick up. The one thing i don't like but, not much can be done is that the well side waiting room is so small that patients and parents have to wait in the hallways at times since, it gets very packed. But, overall if anyone is looking for a pediatrician come here. read more

I switched from Pediatrics Associates to Dangond Pediatrics and I couldn't be happier with the service. Dr. Claudia Herrera has been amazing with my baby girl and son. I have had some issues with trying to connect with someone on the phone, however this to me is a small price to pay to have such a great team to help me with my kids. A physician can only be as good as their office and support staff allow the full service to be. You will get nowhere with phone calls, most of the time they go to an answering machine or an answering service even when they are open. When you leave messages on any voicemail, you will not receive a call or email back. This goes for their online website email contact as well. You may as well talk to yourself, no one will respond. I left messages on the voicemail and on the manager's line each day progressively for a week, describing greater urgency for my son's ADHD med script to be written each time. I finally took off work to go to the office in person before I ran completely out. I asked why no one has returned my calls, and the response was, "Oh don't leave message, nobody checks that line", then why do you say to leave messages? 2 separate times I had issues with this type of thing. First time shame on me, 2nd time shame on you, 3rd time I'm done. I will find a different pediatrician. This subpar service is unnacceptable. Because my sons med is a controlled substance you are required to call for the to write a new script each month, then I pick it up and take it to the pharmacy. My son has run out of medication 3 times because you can't get through to have them write the new script, ridiculous! read more

Took my son with special needs to see Dr. Dangond today. The office was nice and clean. The exam room was roomy so I can move my son around in his wheelchair easily. The staff was very nice and helpful starting with the reception all the way to the nurses. The doctor asked many questions since this was our first time there and after having examined my son and giving me his suggestions asked if I had any concerns or anything I needed from him or his office. I thought that was great since a lot of doctors are just in a hurry to be done with you to get to the next patient. He was very patient with us and very respectful. read more

Today I visited Dr. Dangond's office for the last time. After sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes the lady at the front desk (everyone in the front was new) informs me that I have to wait 3 hours before seeing the doctor. Mind you, there were only 3 other kids ahead of us when we arrived. When I questioned the 3 hour wait she and the girl next to her started talking about my insurance not having Dangond as my PCP and something about Obama Care. I informed them that I have private insurance, a PPO even, and I have NEVER had an issue there with my insurance in the past. My kid has been to this office several times. Then they started telling me about the 3 hour wait again. It became obvious to me that they were trying to get rid of patients, and they succeeded. Maybe a little too well because I've already found a new pediatrician for my kid. It's a shame, really. Dangond is a fantastic pediatrician, but I'm not dealing with those demeaning pathetic characters at the front desk again. read more

I have been coming here for many years and see Dr Vazquez. She is fantastic. She listens to all your concerns, calls back immediately when you leave her a message and truly cares about my children. I also see Dr Dangond when she isn't available and he is also very nice. There has been times when I went with my gut and knew kids just didn't have a virus and went to ED and I was correct but I think this sometimes happens regardless the pediatric office. I have to start by saying that I have four kids.. two teens and I recently had my two girls... I have nothing but great things to say in reference to the way I was treated or I am treated constantly at Dr.Dangond's office... I had a terrible experience with the pediatrician I had chosen when the girls were born, which was at 34weeks of pregnancy.. I have lots of appointments here and there for being premies and since i had been searching for a pediatric, I had heard so many wonderful things from the staff at the hospital to friends... I'm so grateful because since I met him he's been amazing.. patient with me.. explains everything really well.. As far as the staff, they have treated me with such love and have been very nice to me, but most importantly to my kids... I have needed documents so many times, forms filled, medical information for other doctors to have and I have never had any issues... I was provided every single time with all documents... I had forgotten my referrals once or twice and I have called last minute and they have sent them right away... Terribly run office and apathetic doctor. Our appt was for 8am. The office didn't open until 8:02. We weren't seen until 8:45. When I asked Alvaro about the delay he shrugged and didn't care. His tech then tried to give the wrong immunization to our 15month old child. The only reason we caught this was because my wife is a physician and checked. My 2 year had a high fever and I quickly went in to the office . Dr. Alvaro Dangond said it must be a virus and prescribed medication . NO TEST DONE. I trusted his word .Two weeks later fever has gone down but no improvement with the cough and now my child is complaining of pain when urinating . I go back to the office and ask for them to please do a urine test and check her lungs because of how bad the cough had gotten . My gut feeling was right and she has a urinary tract infection and the flem from her cough had gotten into her lungs and now needed an ultra sound . Again no further test done such as blood work . She was prescribed again antibiotics . Two days later my child breaks out in hives all over her body . I take her back to the office and Dr. Alvaro Dangond takes a look and says it is a reaction to the penicillin and its actually very common with kids and prescribes her with steroids . NO BLOOD WORK. As the days go by the hives get worse and worse and begin to show up on her face and her feet began to swell . At this point I take her to the E.R. They performed blood work right away and were able to confirm in less than an hour that penicillin had nothing to do with her skin breaking out and that she actually has a bacteria which has caused the fever , urinary infection , bad cough and now skin hives . All of this could have been solved on the first shot but instead it has been a constant guessing game . They take a look at my child and guess on what it could be from their experience instead of taking the time to run the proper test to determine her actual condition . My two year old now has to stay over night at the hospital for close monitoring and the flem in her lungs seems to be developing in to pneumonia.
