Been coming here for about 2.5 years and I like it because they have your preferences already in the system so you don't have to specify what you want with the hair lingo and all that stuff. They have patented 3D printed guards which are super cool and the bathroom has such a unique aesthetic - plants on the ceiling! Just got unlucky with a bad haircut. I came in with pretty long hair and wanted a 3 on sides with a side part. I showed her a picture of what I usually get. She ended up cutting way too much off the top where the part would be so now there is no part and it's basically just a buzz cut. This is the shortest my hair has ever been and I can't wait for it to grow back again. I've been coming here for over a year now I think but I come every other week and honestly I probably don't need a haircut that often but I love coming here because of the staff. Everyone is so friendly and Rachelle always always ALWAYS takes care of me and makes sure I get a good cut even if she isn't the one cutting it. I know if she's there I have nothing to worry about. They always have good music and always have a good show like Game of Thrones or a good movie playing. They always offer refreshments and the bathroom provides everything from a lint roller to mouthwash and mints. Honestly I have no complaints about this place that's why I'm always here. read more

Been there for maybe 2-3 times, they are really good tbh! I was recommended by a friend and most of them are really professional. The only thing that bothers me from going back is I cannot choose my own stylist, which is a bummer:/ for some reason, I'm super obsessed w my hair and I do not trust any stylist easily. Once I got a good stylist I tend to stick w him/her. Would definitely recommend this place tho, but perhaps when I can finally choose my own stylist then I'll be back again! read more

This was my first time here, I have never felt more welcomed by any salon, ever!! I had the pleasure of having Lauren as my stylist. She did a phenomenal job and I will be back in a couple of weeks so she can correct (someone else's) bad haircut. Thankfully, my hair grows really fast but I am really happy with todays cut and can't wait to make this place my new hair home!! She even offered me a "deal" for my next visit to ensure the cut is exactly how I want it, so sweet of her! Lured by 5 star reviews but am not sure about Danckuts. Made an appointment and recieved a good haircut, but at the price of $35+tip I am not sure it's worth it. The haircut took 30 minutes and they claim anyone at the shop can cut my hair now. If that is the case, then it should cost at least 30% less. Price includes water, tv, coffee and soda but no shampoo/condition. It's definitely barber shop status. I may try it again here, but I may not. read more

My hair stylist was very friendly and nice. She gave me a great haircut, but they are a little pricer than the average barber. An average haircut without a beard trim will cost you $35. But i would definitely recommend. They are also taking the necessary precautions to ensure their patrons and employees are staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times by requiring masks and taking your temperature at the door. read more

I've been coming here for over 2 years, and at this point I'd go nowhere else. Lorin is always incredibly welcoming and brightens up the whole place, and I love the systematized way they do everything. My haircut is recorded in a profile and pictures taken every time, so I've been slowly optimizing my cut every 3 weeks. I don't usually post negative reviews but I've had two haircuts from two different Danckuts. The last one was probably the worst haircut I've gotten in my life, including the 3 haircuts I gave myself during COVID lockdown. I think the barber was new, but a manager reviewed the work before I went home. After I washed my hair, it was very uneven with terrible lines and missed spots. I did not bother to go back because I didn't want to waste my time. A few years ago I had a cut at another location and it was very mediocre. They should be more honest about the value of their service and charge more along the lines of Supercuts and not a higher end barbershop. read more

So the idea behind Danckuts is simple. You should be able to get the exact same cut you received before from any one of their barbers. If you're looking for a barber shop that's extremely entertaining and can dish out a mean cut this is the spot. I had Zac for my first cut and I can't complain at all. I walked in looking like a 3 and left a solid 8.. so if you understand how big of a difference a good cut is it's worth the price. The ONLY reason I'm not giving 5 stars yet is because the theory of Danckuts is to provide the same cut regardless of the barber. I use to come to this place all the time, but when I came in for a haircut this Saturday, I was expecting everything but the outcome of my haircut today. I've had bad haircuts before, but, this one takes the cake. The wait was delayed, per usual, but this aberration pales in comparison of everything that was to about to happen. When my appointment started late, I discovered that my barber was a rookie barber, clueless about the even most basic of haircut techniques, I was willing to give her a chance, as I assumed that she would be monitored by more experienced members of her team. This was true to a degree, but the monitor was busy with another client and only checked in once at the tail end of the appointment, when the damage had already been done. I was not notified of any changes made to my hair and questions and inquiries were only made about my opinion, on my own hair, only after I brought up a question or concern. I was not shown the progress of my haircut through a mirror, as I was facing away from the mirror, which did not allow me to make comments or address concerns about my own hair. And by the end of the appointment, I was not shown the back of my head, which had been mangled, without my knowledge, by the barber. By the time I got home, I was finally able to get a look at the full intent of the damage, which was absolutely horrendous. The hair is in a state where it is absolutely unfixable until I grow it back out, which will take months of time that could have been saved if I just went to another barbershop. read more

This review is wayyy overdue as I've been going to Danckuts since February of 2017. I get my haircut usually every two weeks, so as someone who has gotten roughly 90 haircuts at this place I can tell you that they are incredible. Every single hair engineer is great and experienced. Doesn't matter who you get. For the last 3 and a half years I've had consistently great haircuts and I don't have to explain what I want in a hair cut language that I don't speak. There has only been one time that I didn't love my haircut from a new barber and when I emailed them about it they offered to fix it for me for free - so great customer service to boot. Its hard to find quality stylists let alone a barbershop especially for men. This place is great! Their system is different then other places and it works. Even if you dont get the same stylist on your next visit you do get the same cut and service! I did have a small issue this morning in regards to an appointment and I had voiced out my concerns which was handled immediately and worked out in the end. read more

Cool place and I love how they incorporate computer and technology into their business. Downside is you have no choice over who cuts your hair. My first cut needed to be fixed after a few days. They gladly did it and the other person did a great job. Going back again I got the first person again and didn't like the cut again. Asked for someone different but they refused the request. I got a haircut at Danckuts back in September, and I really did not have a great experience. The space itself is nice, but the employees didn't really make me feel welcome or try to explain their unorthodox system to me. I typically get my hair cut with scissors, but the woman cutting my hair assured me that she could give me the same sort of cut by using clippers instead. This was after I had shown her pictures of past haircuts that I liked, and so while it seemed like a pretty inadvisable idea from the get-go, I went with it because she seemed to know what she was doing. Things went bad when she accidentally used the wrong guard on the sides, and since it wasn't exactly like she could just undo that, it ended up being much shorter than I wanted (which was a really bad fit for me). I know that everyone has their off days, and she did apologize profusely as soon as it happened, but that drove home to me that this place is more of an experiment than a reliable salon. I've thankfully found a local place that can give a good haircut with scissors instead of clippers since then, so if the style of haircut you want doesn't fit the kind of stuff they typically do, I would recommend looking elsewhere. P.S. I was originally going to post this back when I got the haircut, but the owner's habit of posting angry replies to all negative reviews scared me off because I really didn't feel like being yelled at for having an opinion. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt intimidated out of leaving a bad review, so I would recommend taking this place's high rating with a grain of salt. read more

The entire staff is great here. I've been bringing my 7-year-old for awhile and he always looks forward to it. Most recently I wanted a different look for my son, but hesitate because of his wavy thick hair. I'm happy to say Kieffer assured me that he'd take baby steps in cutting my son's hair. He'd stop and call me over to ask if I was okay with the length and/or style. The cut looked great right away. It's one of the best haircuts my son has had. Not only is it stylish, but easy for my son to maintain. He wakes up runs his hand through his hair and it's styled. Not a bad spot for a haircut. Staff is friendly for the most part. Nothing special or out of the ordinary in technical terms of a haircut however. Their work is not anything your ordinary certified barber cannot do. And it's funny because they are all cosmetologists and not barbers. They go by a system where you get the same haircut every time despite who cuts your hair - which is impossible. They say this is implemented by the "worlds first" hair recording system -- which is a bold term (and claim) to use (unless you've had an official from let's say, the Guinness book of records confirm this? Well it's not a record but you catch my drift. An official of some sort). Sure the guidelines and details of your haircut are outlined, but that's all they are - guidelines. No two people in the world will cut hair the same. Let alone six people. It would be great if you can request who cuts (or sorry - who "kuts") your hair, but that would defeat the false purpose of this place. Some of the employees do a better job than the others. Not a big deal. But it kind of is once you make that "same haircut (ugh... HAIRKUT)" every time claim. Unfortunately the owner is very sensitive and hostile when it comes to suggestions and or criticisms. Worse than my ex-girlfriends hilariously. Not to mention all of his employees have been both brainwashed and blindsided by his ways. If he is against you, then all his minions -- I mean employees are against you too. It's no wonder that people keep joining and quitting this place. And now watch the owner come back with a personal attack as always whenever someone leaves an honest review. It doesn't matter which person cuts your hair because they take pictures and keep everything on file for the next time you come in. They're always paying attention to detail and the atmosphere in the place is just super chill. They also offer you a free drink, which could be either a soda, water OR a beer. So I went to Danckuts a couple of months ago based on their reviews. I was lucky to get Sarah. She gave me the perfect haircut and I booked with her a month later, and same thing. Thank God, I finally found my forever barber. I had scheduled for a month after that. I arrived and Sarah was not there. The owner, Zac, assured me that every hair cut would be identical. Not the case. I went from the best hair cut to one of the worst I have ever had. She didn't come close to the things that Sarah and I had decided on. Too short in areas and very uneven on the sides. I had to book with my previous stylist, who is insanely expensive to even thing out. She was unable to glue hair back to the areas that were waaaay too short. Went there today to book with Sarah and the owner, Zac, said we can't schedule an appointment; it's the way we work. I explained that their system did not work for me and I wanted to see only Sarah. He said sorry, I don't think we're the right place for you in a rude manor. If my hair cut would have been the same, I would have played their game, but from best to worst is not acceptable. Too bad he is stuck in his ways as his system does not work. read more
