I walked in with long curly hair that I love and took great care of for so long to walk out with it completely ruined. I provided a reference photo of what I wanted and did not get that. Barber cut way shorter than I asked and went in with clippers and texturizing scissors on my curls. Which I later found out, a barber who knows what they're doing should only use regular scissors for a cut like this because other tools ruin curls. I called the next day to ask for a manager in hopes to get a refund because this mess cost me $50 and supposedly the one who cut my hair was the manager. An even bigger red flag. They said they don't do refunds because the work is already done and I apparently didn't tell him how long I wanted it and "he always asks how long." Which he did not. However I did show him a photo of how long I wanted AND I told him I'd like it to still be long because I wear my hair long. But guess it's my fault somehow. There was nothing they were willing to do for me for their screw up except "fix it" for free. As if I'd let them touch my hair again. So sad. read more

Admittedly, I've been shaving my own head since Covid. It's nothing fancy, but it's quick and free. I had a wedding to attend and I wanted something a little nicer, so Yelp led me here for a proper shave. I walked in just after lunch and didn't have to wait to get my haircut. Paul was professional and did an incredible job. I ended up with a taper and fade and it set me back $35+tip. It's always scary and anxious for me to move to a new place, knowing that I have to find a new barber. It always makes me really uncomfortable when I walk into a barbershop full of men sometimes with weird looks or barbers who would try to charge me women's haircut price when I have short hair. After some research and asking around, I found this place. I made an appointment with Paul, the owner. I first asked him if my haircut would fall under men's short haircut, and he looked at my hair and said of course with no hesitation. That's already a plus to help me feel comfortable in the space. I like this place however, I think there needs to be some training on the haircuts for anyone other than Paul. At least the basic understanding of what was asked. I had gotten a haircut here last time, it was a good haircut from the same lady. But last time I showed her a picture of myself with the cut I wanted. Fast forward, I come back and get the same lady. I asked if she remembers me and she says yes. I tell her my haircut and I reconfirm if she remembers me and that haircut. She nods and quietly says yes. I start getting my haircut and everything is good but then she starts going all the way up on my sides. I basically have everywhere beside the top of my head the exact same length now. No blend. Nothing. To say the least, I'm a bit disappointed right before the holidays. I was expecting a good cut. Paul tried making it right by saying I could just go, but that didn't sit right with me around the holidays. The gesture was kind enough so I paid and still left a handsome tip. Everyone was very receptive of my disappointment with the cut so that is very nice to know people actually care about their clients. One thing I would say is to teach everyone the terminologies used in the barber world. I showed Paul a picture of my original cut and asked what this should've been said. It was confirmed I said and wanted a "1.5 medium fade blended up" which is exactly what I said at the beginning of the haircut. The excuse was she doesn't know English well. I would say this is a good example to train on the terms needed to be known for a good haircut. Overall, I like this place and the people, but let's get some overall training on at least the terms correct. I know most people love Paul, and I see why there's always a wait for him now. I will come back and try this place again as I won't judge them based off of one bad cut for someone who didn't listen/know/remember what I had asked for. read more

Quiet disappointed. The staff members are nice, but they do a terrible job listening. I asked for a hair trim and beard shape-up. While I was giving instructions, they kept on insisting that they understood. As a matter of fact, they even showed me the length they will cut. So far so good. When they started the job, they went haywire and practically started chopping at my hair and beard. Now they are super short. Damn, been coming here for about 3 or 4 years now. I first used to go through a guy and he left, then the last lady I had for 2 years isn't there anymore. Time to update my review. I gave it a try anyways because I'm a creature of habit. The cut was okay but it just wasn't the same. This past trip though, my second time back without my normal stylist, not only is the cut pretty bad, with a crooked side burn, but she cut me and didn't say anything. Took this picture right after the cut so it's not bad but it definitely did swell up later that day! I just found my new barbershop! I've been coming here for a few months now and I will continue to come back. My haircut is pretty simple (think standard marine haircut) but to do a proper "zero to one" fade, it takes a special talent, which both Paul and Tommy have. My haircuts have been great and the prices are very reasonable. My haircuts cost $19, which allows me to get a haircut every two weeks without breaking the bank. You can make appointments with Paul or just "walk-in" for any other barber, including Tommy. The place is clean, convenient and cost-effective and I appreciate the hot towel service at the end. The only drawback about this place is the parking. The parking lot is small and crowded so if you're coming during peak times, you might have to park down the street. read more

Wow how come I did not find this place sooner. Came here for the first time and they did not seem to be too busy so they accepted my walk in right away. I brought a picture in so they can get an idea of what I want. I usually never end up with a haircut like the picture I bring in so I did not expect much. I still did not end up like the guy in the picture but I was beyond satisfied with the result. The lady who cut my hair was meticulous with her touch, and that hot towel massage at the end (not sure what it is for), was just a pleasant surprise. I have a very low budget for a haircut so for me this place is still on the pricier side, but considering the area this place is more than reasonable for men's cut. I may need to re-review as I go more often and maybe different barber will give me another opinion but so far so great. Highly recommended to give at least a try. read more

I had a bitter sweet experience: they scheduled my son quick, we got there and we were taken care of promptly. But when it came down to the hair cut it all went soar. We went in for a trim and clean up _ style. Keep the curl length just the sides and clean up the back. THE LADY cut my son's curls a full inch off. Ended up with a haircut we did not want. It was a he say she said I heard she didn't understand fiasco. The female does not take good instructions and clearly does not know how to cut wavy curly hair. It's hard to cut curly hair, I get it. I made an appointment the day of about 2 hours before getting a haircut with Paul, and it was great! The price was $17 for a men's haircut, which I'd say is pretty reasonable for the area and the quality of the cut. He really paid attention to the details and what I was looking for.
