This man is an artist. I got more than expected. He is one of the few left of a dying craft. Back home it is hard to find a barber. Mostly big box haircuts. He took his time with the taper. I wanted to try this new place that local to me. I was kinda scared coming in because I saw the place empty (but then again I did go on a Thursday afternoon). Once I went in the gentleman asked me to sit down and I did. He began talking to me in English so I did the same. Midway through my haircut he spoke in Spanish, so I replied back. The gentleman's name is Pedro, but people call him Pete. Once we began speaking in Spanish I felt like he was more comfortable and being super nice. He gave me recommendations of how my hair would look better so I went with his recommendations and wow he did an amazing job. From now ok I will be going to him because he is that great. One of the best haircuts I've received in a long time. On top of that his pricing is normal compared to others that charge $30-$45 for a simple haircut. read more

The barbers here are top notch. They all have decades of experience. I never leave disappointed and for the price you can't beat it.

Very bad service. Wasn't even greeted when walked in. The atmosphere of the place was somewhat dreary. Worst of all the barber (an elderly man) was very unforthcoming and sounded patronizing. Left with a bad haircut despite showing a pic of EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. Overall even for the price ($18) this place isn't worth it for the headache. read more

Go across the street to JB's. Came in, was sitting waiting for my turn for at least 15 minutes...then a barber (the girl barber) finishes up her current customer and becomes "available" So...I sit there looking at her....and she doesn't ask me if I'm ready or anything. So...I ask what's up..."are you available" - and she says..."we only go by appointment" Please - how would I be aware of that???? It's not even posted anywhere. And - how could they just leave people sitting there and not even say a word and let me waste my time. I had to ask what's up..if I didn't...the girl would probably keep just looking at me not saying anything. WTF? JB's across the street is MUCH better. AND CHEAPER. and they have real barbers. Took my son there and the barber cut his ear, not a good experience. Wouldn't go there again nor would I recommend this dive to anyone.

Walked into this place with intentions of getting my four year old son haircut. 3 folks were working..at 1st two were cutting hair and one was setting up. We walk in and no one acknowledges we're in the place. The 2nd Barber finished cutting his customer's hair, cleaned up then sat down! and didn't even say a word. I have been getting my haircut by Pete. He does a great job and always keeps a friendly conversation when I manage to stay awake in the chair. Very small barbershop, I like these mom and pop shops. I have been to Salons, Barbershops of all price ranges and Tustin Barber is one of my favorites. I wish I could get a quick wash after my cut just to freshen up because I usually get it on my lunchbreaks. I'm sure if I recommend it, he would do it with no problem. read more

I don't agree with some of the reviews on here. My son and i always get our hair cut by Debbie and she always does a great job.. I was just in last week and had her take 3-4 inches off and give me some layers as i wanted a fresh cut and look for my sons birthday dinner. I received quite a few compliments that night. My son and i wont go anywhere else and everyone here is always friendly. :) read more

I'm going at this place since last 4 years. Debbie is the one who do my haircut. Once she knows your hairstyle, she will cut your hair really well. It took me a couple of rounds before she understood my style. I would highly recommend her. One unique thing I like about Debbie is that she won't rush. She will almost put half an hour to do one haircut. This I have seen consistently with all the customers. She is very professional and polite. Also, the old man Pete (who served in the army) takes lot of walk-in, especially kids. They always greet their customer with respect. Humble people. The best barber shop in Tustin! read more

Tustin Barbers do great work and are a great price. I've been coming here for over a year now and this place is definitely old school. They're just regular people who have been cutting hair forever, so don't expect a peppy twenty four year old with that zealous corporate customer service type attitude. They're very nice and good at what they do. And "the woman"/ "female barber" has a name, Debbie. She is who I prefer to have my hair cut by. They do have many regulars who schedule appointments, so I recommend calling and doing the same to save you some time. read more

Unacceptable! I am so disappointed. I have never ever had worse service and haircut (it was for my 3 year old). He is good at haircuts. Everywhere i go i get told that. He doesnt move at all and follows instructions and the woman did a horrible job honestly i think on purpose. This place is around the corner from my house so i decided to try it. I walk in and at first they totally ignore me (the woman with short bob like haircut and another older man) and when she finally looks over she doesnt say hi or nothing. I said can i get his hair cut and she again didnt say anything but cleaned off the chair and just stood there. I didnt realize she was waiting for me because i taking something out of my purse for my son and when i look up i see her waiting for me with a look on her face like "what a drag". The only reason i didnt leave is because my son really needed a haircut and we were going to a party. She did a HORRIBLE and i mean HORRIBLE job! I couldnt believe reading good reviews that this place has been in business for so long. I wish i had a picture to show you guys. I asked for a comb over look and she totally cut one side and not the other and we cant even comb it over! I am never coming back or referring people here! Dude this place is AWESOME!!! Been coming here for years, had my hair cut by several different guys and have been satisfied with every single hair cut! A little bummed that they raised their prices from $8 to $9 about a year or so ago but come on......even I'm willing to admit I'm a cheapskate! One of the things I really like is that the guys have a portable air container that they use to blow the clippings out of your hair and off your shirt when you're done. Buh-bye itchy neck and back! They always seemed to be well staffed and waits never been over 15 mins. HIGHLY recommend this little Barber Shop! read more
