The squeeze of lemon was delightful and brought all the flavors together beautifully. The main dish of seafood risotto was delicious as well and incredibly flavorful. I enjoyed the oil/sauce the meal was served on and every bite was fantastic. My only disappointment was the size of the entrees as they were small portions. The burger was also fantastic although the size was on the smaller side and there were not a lot of potato wedges included. Overall I loved this place and the service was great. The atmosphere was lively as they had live music playing which was a nice touch. I'm excited to try more dishes from this cute little restaurant.

I was very impressed with the town and really liked Greenbank Cidery which was in the heart of downtown. For one the tasting room for Greenbank is wonderful! The tasting room has a pleasant wooded and sleek look to it but the main draw are all the magnificent views you get here at the taproom. So definitely don't be in a rush when you come here and admire that view from the windows of the water! The cider is equally great! I had the Hi Boy Dry which was a dry cider... as the name implies and it was perfection! It had a great flavor of apple as it should but it wasn't too sweet or anything of the sort and was just sheer perfection. Such a great experience coming to Greenbank Cider and I will definitely pencil it in on a return visit to the island!

Wow! Having tried…read moremead quite a few times, I've never acquired the taste. Hierophant has completely changed my mind with their elevated versions of this ancient craft. Refreshing flavors that are subtle and well balanced, with varying levels of alcohol. Although I haven't tried all of their 20+ varieties, the ones I've tried were fantastic. If you like the traditional taste of a heavy and earthy mead, Hierophant may be something new to you as well. Great service from the friendly staff in a casual, yet upscale tasting room makes for a very relaxing visit. And there's plenty of parking. I'll be a regular when I'm on island visiting my son and his family. Thank you Hierophant for creating a new and delightful epicurean experience.

The lady working the tasting area was very kind, but not very knowledgeable about their offerings, nor was she able to steer us in any direction based on our preferred taste profiles. She loved the wines at HHC, which is honorable, but not incredibly helpful. All the wines available for the tastings this Sunday were ok, but their big reds were not part of it. She said they weren't able to open any for tasting since the weekend was over, which is too bad. Other wineries like Wedge Mountain do this same thing, which I fail to understand. We stated we like big reds and are members of two other wineries on the island. Seems to me worth taking a chance on a customer that makes a jaunt a couple times a year and spends money on club wines, expressing a desire for what the winery has dubbed their flagship offerings. The pods and outdoor heaters are very nice, the grounds are attractive, we just didn't care for the lighter reds, blends, and whites we were offered. We did buy a bottle of one decent blend at full price, and they didn't comp or reduce the price of even one tasting. Fine, if that's the policy, but it won't bring us back.

Also have small snacks available if you want something to eat along with the wine. The staff and owners are friendly, gracious and welcoming and put a lot of effort into making the place special. They told us that visits to Sailor Vineyard are usually by appointment only, but they would give a quick call and let them know we were coming. The entrance is a little hard to find, and initially, we turned onto the vineyard road and had to backtrack to a little sign with just the house number, and that is where you park. It's in front of their house, and Kit came out and greeted us, introduced us to his adorable dogs after being sure we weren't opposed, and then guided us on a tour of their little family owned vineyard. We enjoyed learning about their unique grapes and their personal histories. They don't do conventional tastings, but instead, you bought a bottle that came with 4 engraved Sailor Vineyards wine glasses (to take home), and he pours for you while you enjoy the lovely day. We took home a bottle of their reserve wine and was disappointed we wouldn't be able to return for their big concert they are putting on at the end of three summer (Aug 10, 2024) with an Italian band. It's definitely a neat spot to stop if you're in the area, but be sure to call ahead.
