DJ Dylan was so professional and quick to respond to any inquiries we had in the months leading up to our wedding. There was a little hiccup where the sound went out in the last chorus of a song, but DJ-D was quick to get it back up for the next song. It was such a smooth transition that I didn't realize the music went out until a couple moments later. I'm not sure if this is standard for DJs these days, but my husband and I really loved that there was a portal where we could choose the music for different parts of our event: guest arrival, reception, cocktail hour, dinner, must play, play if possible, and do not play. My husband and I just got married last week at the Japanese Friendship Garden (JFG) in Balboa Park, and we're so glad we chose Dancing DJ Productions for our wedding! We worked with Nicole in the beginning, and she was always quick to respond with helpful answers to all of our questions. We got several quotes from different DJs, and Dancing DJ stood out as both the most responsive and the most cost-effective. Since we really wanted to highlight the JFG's natural beauty, Nicole helped advise us on how many uplights we would need to enhance the space well into the evening. When our original event rental company suddenly informed us a month before the wedding that they couldn't hang our paper lanterns, I reached out to Nicole to ask if Dancing DJ offered market lighting. While they didn't, she provided several vendor recommendations--one of which was Platinum. We ended up switching all of our event rentals to Platinum just five days before the wedding due to logistical issues, and we're so grateful for her help in pointing us in the right direction. Dylan was our DJ for the big day, and we had such a great time! He kept the party going all the way until the end. Our ceremony and reception were held in the Courtyard of the lower gardens, with our cocktail hour at the Earth Bridge. Dylan was able to set up sound in both areas seamlessly and handled last-minute changes with total flexibility, including miking my brother, who decided to play a piece on his cello the day before. When our event rental company needed an extra 30 minutes for setup, Dylan still arrived on time at 3 PM to make sure everything--including the 16 uplights--was good to go. A quick tip for other couples: I highly recommend going with Dancing DJ's uplighting. They provided the uplights at about half the cost of what our event rental company quoted. We're also both music people and had very specific song selections throughout the wedding. Dylan was able to easily incorporate our Spotify playlists, and he was even flexible enough to take a few guest requests on the spot! We booked DJ Dylan Rodin for our wedding and he was amazing at our wedding! All of our guests told us after our wedding how much fun they had and how great the DJ was! We booked him primarily for his experience with EDM and we wanted to play a lot of different EDM genres and basically have a mini rave at our wedding. On our initial call, he assured us that we could throw anything at him and he would make it work. We took his word for it and we threw a ton of different songs at him. There were songs that were tech house, big room, prog house, drums and bass, hardstyle, bass house, melodic dubstep and trap. I probably missed a couple of other genres in there, but despite how different some of these songs were, he managed to weave them all in so seamlessly.
