We hired DJ Mancat for our wedding and he was absolutely incredible. Starting about six months out, he scheduled calls with us almost every month just to make sure we were aligned and everything was on track. He was so communicative, always on the ball, and asked all the right questions - we instantly felt like we were in great hands. On the wedding day, he was the perfect emcee. He timed everything flawlessly, kept the energy up, and carried himself like a complete gentleman the entire night. He's truly worth every penny. One of our favorite touches was that he had us choose our last three songs of the night - ones that would keep the party going but would also signal, in the best way, that the night was coming to an end. It was such a thoughtful detail and made the finale feel so special. Couldn't recommend him more! read more

DJ Mancat isn't just a pro behind the decks, he's a master of ceremonies. As a former DJ myself, he went above and beyond more than any DJ I've ever known. From start to finish, he guided my wife and me through EVERY step of our wedding day. He doesn't just handle the music and lights, he came with recommendations for furniture placement, timing our full day schedule, and guided us through our entrance and exit decisions. On the day of the event, he coordinated with vendors and took control of the event so that all we had to do is enjoy ourselves. He even prepped us for things we never would have thought of. Mancat worked with us to curate our playlists, but his real talent is reading a crowd and commanding the dance floor. I can confidently say Mancat's skill, knowledge, and passion as a DJ, MC, and event coordinator are invaluable. He clearly loves what he does, and he works harder than anyone to give his clients the best experience possible. He thrives off of seeing everyone have fun, and it shows! If you want a wedding DJ who truly goes above and beyond, and cares about your wedding day as much as you do, you won't find anyone better than DJ Mancat! read more

Talented DJ at an event I was invited to. Excellent song selection, but an even better sense of timing and the crowd's mood.

BEST QUINCEAÑERA EVER!! DJ Mancat made my daughter's party de best of the year. He is very professional, polite, communicative and definitely on top of things! He was not only in communication with me but also with the venue staff to make sure that everything was on schedule. He played music for EVERYONE, and when I say everyone is from grandparents to kids! Next day I keep receiving texts from the guests saying how amazing the party and the music was!! We definitely recommend DJ Mancat to everyone!! read more

Can't say enough about how amazing Beau is and cannot recommend him enough as a DJ. He made my partner and I feel comfortable right from our first meeting and was so sweet and kind and professional throughout! He had so much insight and advice to give, and was so SO helpful. His enthusiasm and excitement is contagious and honestly, there's no one better to make sure that your dance floor is packed and everyone's dancing. Our wedding playlists and songs were pretty out there and all over the place, but he made it all work and flow no problem. DJ Mancat was the best choice we could have made for our wedding. Thank you Beau! read more

DJ Mancat is INCREDIBLE! We used him for Liberty Station's Centennial Community Celebration and Halloween at the Station with 10,000 people throughout the day. He MCed and DJed, keeping the audience engaged, cueing the perfect songs during our costume contest, playing family-friendly music, and setting the tone for the event to be so much fun! I highly recommend DJ Mancat for all of your MCing and DJ needs. He also MCed the La Jolla Dog costume contest the day before and kept the crowd engaged and interactive as well as kept an awesome flow to the event! He really is the best! read more

I know DJ Mancat has been super busy ever since events started opening back up, but I was super grateful that he was able to squeeze me into DJ my event! This was my 3rd time hiring him, and each time he has been super professional, a hoot to work with, and has gone above and beyond. He got our crowd dancing and put a smile on everyone's face, from young to old. He is very responsive and hilarious, and had a great range of music - from Motown to being able to identify "that song on TikTok". read more

DJ Mancat is an absolute musical genius. His ability to play literally any genre with smooth transitions it out of this world. I have attended multiple events where DJ Mancat happened to be spinning and I can say from weddings to company events and all the way to playing late nights at music venues he keeps the dance floor going. He is also open to requests from the crowd which isn't always the case with DJs. It's easy to see that he loves what he does and he is fancatstic at it! I would recommend him for any event that you are planning. read more

Beau was literally our most beloved vendor we hired for our wedding from both a professional and personal standpoint!!!! He was so incredibly thoughtful & intentional about all of our music (and production), from the ceremony to the dances to the lighting. He took time to chat with us about our musical vision and definitely delivered the day of. My husband and I are HUGE music (and cat lol!!!) people, so it was important to us to not have a standard, somewhat generic lineup of music. Think: Cupid Shuffle. He really understood that wish and made sure that all of our favorite music was played, however he also used his experience to incorporate music that would benefit the crowd flow based upon the event timeline. This was HUGE to ensuring a good dance floor :) We are so so so so appreciative of him, for being such a lovely part of our special day. Overall, Beau so easy to work with and is extremely professional. I seriously cannot recommend him enough, i wish we could get married again just to continue working with him on our dream playlist read more

Hired Beau as our wedding DJ. 5 different wedding dates through COVID and he was flexible and really understanding the entire time. Better yet when the big day came he absolutely crushed it. Couldn't ask for a better wedding DJ - he kept the party going until the end! read more

Beau aka DJ Mancat is by far my favorite DJ I have ever hired! I recently celebrated my 5th year of being in remission from cancer. Beau made the celebration that much more special through fun music and positive vibes! It's obvious he loves what he is doing and that was reflective of all of my friends having a blast on the dance floor! It was such a joyful evening! Thank you Beau! read more

All I can say is...wow! Mancat is, by far, the BEST Dj I have EVER had the pleasure of watching perform. He knows exactly how to get a crowd from all different walks of life together on a dance floor to share a common love of music. I have been to countless venues just to experience the vibration of pure joy and love that he brings to each set, with 100% dedication to his crowd, for over 6 years now, and he NEVER disappoints! He is one of the most kind and caring people you'll ever meet behind a Dj booth, and will do everything possible to ensure your private event is one that will be talked about by guests for years to come ( I know, because I have attended several of his private events). Just hire him!! He is worth every penny and more! An absolute gem of a human being, and a spectacular Dj. There's a reason he was voted (and awarded) San Diego's Best Dj! read more

After 2 years of being unable to celebrate my birthday, due to Covid restrictions, I was finally able to get together with friends. Unsure of where I should have my Birthday Brunch, I considered various options before finding out the DJ Mancat would be rocking out at the Roxy and immediately decided to do it there! I was not disappointed in this decision DJ Mancat brought his positive energy and amazing beats for an incredible celebration! Everything he did was on point and in my opinion, he is still one of the best, if not the best, DJ in San Diego! Thank you DJ Mancat for creating the perfect atmosphere for my Birthday Celebration read more

Words cannot describe how lucky we were to have DJ Mancat lead one of the major fundraisers for the La Jolla Loves Pets Foundation: Dogoween 2023! Beau was the highlight of the Halloween Dog Costume Contests! He was amazing with jokes and extremely proficient in managing the timing of the contestants. He was strategically interacting with San Diego Gulls and Seals Mascots, leading the dogs and their owners to the correct places and following the timelines. He is a huge pet lover, so his true personality shone during the event. We can't wait to see him at all our events in the future!! read more

Pure professional. Guy slays it. So much fun and so easy to work with. He's a kind pleasant guy and he kills it at his job. Whatever mood or genre you're looking for, DJ Mancat can handle it. Bonus points if you get to meet his travelling companion/soulmate Yoda the Sphinx Cat. Top tier dude. Top tier tunes. Top tier cat. read more

What's there to say about Dj Mancat? I'm an electronic music fan, and so looking at "wedding DJs" was an awful experience, and after hearing someone at another wedding where their transitions sucked, I wanted to avoid someone who musically had no idea what they were doing at all costs, and avoid some of the cheesier talents that seemed to pollute the internet. We were going to have at least 4 DJs at the wedding so I knew we needed someone competent. My photographer recommended Dj Mancat, and he was a godsend. Super professional and in charge, I was texting him the week before with updates and changing my mind about songs, and he was on the ball in humoring a bride stressing out about all her choices. During the event, he worked seamlessly with our coordinator and kept us on time, was courteous, and let's talk about music quality.... Our guests raved about the music choice (which was all over because the groom likes classic rock and I like electronic music), and he could not have done a better job. Excellent transitions, no trainwrecks, friendly on the mic without being over the top, and he kept the dance floor going all night. He definitely provided one of our wedding highlights. We recommend him to everyone, especially after hearing comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. A fun side perk: we have cats and we have a lot of cat jokes between our friends, so when he used cat puns in one of our emails or texts (don't remember which one) we knew we had chosen the right DJ. read more

DJ Mancat is a top notch dj with an infectious enthusiasm guaranteed to get the party started. I was pleasantly surprised at just how much he cared about the success of the event as a whole. He introduced himself to all the staff and initiated any planning needed with the caterer, bar staff, etc.. While going over the evenings itinerary he identified several holes in our plan and offered suggestions. In short, he became the wedding planner we didn't know we needed, and he may have saved the night because of it. He sat down with my wife and I to create the perfect playlist before hand, but also kept an eye on the crowd, adjusting when needed and allowing for a few requests from some predetermined VIP's. He's professional, knows his stuff and is just overall an amazing human being. If you need a dj who is goes above and beyond for you and your guests, dj mancat is your man (cat). read more

Went to a NYE gig to ring in 2019 where DJ Mancat was one of many DJs there....and by FAR the best! Complete professional, all the style, nailed the tunes. Big call but I'm going to say best NYE gig ever :) Thanks DJ Mancat!! read more

Beau (aka Mancat) was truly the most perfect wedding DJ I could possibly imagine. He spent the time to get to know is over zoom calls, learned our musical preferences and was super hands on, personable, organized and helpful. He walked us through everything he needed and was very efficient. He even toured the venue with our wedding planner prior to the date to see where would be best to stay. The day of the wedding he was incredible, we had several complicated musical timings throughout are ceremony and he nailed everything to perfection. He played a perfect balance of interacting with the guests without ever being intrusive or over bearing. On top of all of these amazing qualifying, I still feel the need to emphasize that Beau is an incredibly talented DJ. People were dancing constantly at our wedding for 2+ hours, the music was balanced and blended perfectly, it felt like one incredible track that played the whole time the dance floor was open. I would recommend Beau for anyone's wedding or any event that needs a DJ, he was absolutely incredible. read more

This DJ did not play r&b and hip hop by poc artists at bar I attended. I made requests and they were completely ignored. I would be okay if he didn't play the genres at all if he couldn't but he did and withoit regarding requests. it would have been great if he was accepting of all artists and requests made. read more

Love DJ Mancat! First of all, he's a cool guy with excellent style. He does have a cat onesie and some cool leopard shoes with tails, but for those who want less of a party vibe, I've also seen him DJing in a tie looking sharp and handsome! He is a master at blending songs in a unique and fun way, I knew he was amazing when he blended Kesha's Die Young and Journey's Don't Stop Believing. He's a pro hype man and knows how to work a crowd and keep people happy with great music. Definitely a great addition to any concert, party, or wedding! Great prices too! Meow! read more

If you're looking to dance all night long and listen to some amazing music look no further! Dj Mancat is not only an amazing dj but also an amazing Mc. Our guests at our wedding had such a fun time and raved about how amazing the dj was. Thank God for great makeup because I danced so much at my wedding I felt I looked all red faced, sweaty and gross! I've never danced so much and it was the greatest night of my life!! I'm still getting compliments on how much fun they had!! That's the true sign of a great DJ when all your guests had a blast dancing all night!! Thank you again for an amazing night!! He even took last minute requests and was very patient with some of our very outgoing guests. I wish I could have another event for his services. I want to do it all over again!! read more

I hired DJ Mancat (aka Beau) to dj my wedding and not only did he do an amazing job at playing the right music at the right time, but he also served as the nucleus and captain of the love boat that was our party. He was exemplary at listening and applying what me and my wife wanted, while also offering the most amazing ideas and suggestions that took our wedding to the next level. There were times where he was more in touch with our needs and wants than the actual coordinator, and we couldn't be more grateful for that. He brings the perfect combination of serious professionalism and a fun, exciting attitude that is sure to keep smiles on the faces of you and your guests. He made our special day a night we will never forget and we will cherish the memories he helped us create for the rest of our lives. read more

This is the DJ for you! First off, the guy knows his crowd, and he knows how music can influence the energy in the room. Uptempo grooves to get people out of their seats, downtempo to smooth out a rowdy crowd, perfect balance of old and new music to appeal to the demographics of different attendees. I've danced at some of the most electrifying venues on the planet, seen some of the finest talents perform, and I can say unequivocally that DJ Mancat is a World-Class DJ. Moreover he is multi-talented, conscientious, and thoughtful, without a hint of the ego you sometimes see from performers. I've never danced so much at a wedding before. I will be recommending him to all my clients for their professional DJ needs. read more

DJ Mancat is the best and is most certainly the reason our wedding was not a complete and utter disaster! His professionalism was quite impressive as he facilitated the various parts of our wedding, from ceremony to toasts and dances. Our venue had a less than ideal setup for him, with a bit of a control freak hovering around the booth as well, but DJ Mancat pulled through it like a champ and kept the party going. He also did an awesome job creating a set to suit our taste in music and to set the mood for each part of the event. It was perfect! We got a lot of compliments about him from our guests. Basically, I can't recommend him highly enough! read more

Beau initially was hired to DJ our daughters wedding but we were in need of a day of wedding planner and he jumped in and was amazing! DJ Mancat is the best! He is the reason our wedding was not a complete disaster. He was extremely professional and courteous to all our guests. Everything that could go wrong was slowly starting to go wrong, but DJ Mancat stepped in, took charge and saved the day for us. Not only was he an amazing DJ, But he acted as our wedding planner when things were getting out of hand. He went above and beyond all our expectations. We could not be happier with our decision to hire this man. It's a pretty good sign when everyone who attends your wedding contacts you to say how amazing your DJ is. We can't thank this man enough. read more

This guy did my good buddy's wedding and absolutely killed it. I will definitely be hiring him to do my wedding.

I've heard him perform a couple of times at different venues... 1st Street Bar and Union in Encinitas I think. He has a great energy and his mixes have some great variety! Check him out! read more

This man is amazing! He went over and beyond all duties for my sons wedding at FIRE GARDEN in Bonsall. He truly saved the day up to and including the rehearsal. He just took charge like a pro. DJ Mancat has been a big part of our story. My fiance and I met and forged our relationship during bar trivia that Mancat hosted/emceed. We were fortunate to have him come out to DJ our wedding. At the time, we were just excited because he is such a big part of our story. Little did we know how amazing our wedding would be because of him! Once he arrived he really took charge and basically served as our onsite wedding planner/ coordinator communicating with our officiant, photographer, wedding party and caterers to keep everyone in the loop and everything on schedule. I was amazed by him before even taking into account the music. Weddings can be tough because everyone wants to hear their favorite songs, but those songs aren't always what get people dancing. There is fine art to Wedding DJing - managing the bride and groom's requested playlist, guest requests and selecting songs that appeal to all your guests and make them want to dance. DJ Mancat has mastered the art of Wedding DJing! Our dance floor was packed and hopping all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ or reception experience. We received SOOO many compliments about DJ Mancat. He made our wedding awesome. We gave him a small list (3-4 songs) of must play songs and we also gave him a list of requests our guests made through the reservation process with full creative liberties. You hire a DJ to do a job and you just have to trust that he is the expert and will play the best song for the time, crowd and vibe. Mancat did that and totally nailed it! There is absolutely nothing we would have changed. If you want a DJ who will ensure your guests (and more importantly, YOU) have an incredible event/wedding, DJ Mancat is the DJ for you! I can't guarantee that he can find you a mate (like he did for us), but I can guarantee with 100% confidence that if you hire him for your wedding you will have the most amazingly fun event of your life! read more
