Kennedy made us feel so comfortable and excited about the entire process and we looked forward to our weekly lessons with her. She not only choreographed our entire dance (a salsa- no easy feat!) but she paid attention to every detail, made sure we were happy and comfortable doing the moves, and was so creative with her changes when we weren't comfortable. The studio has a really great community of regulars and each week we got to see some familiar faces. At the end of all the lessons we did a "showcase" where we performed the dance in front of a group of people we had come to recognize through the many lessons and it was such a relief to get the nerves of performing in front of a bunch of people out of our system. There studio is at the beginning of a row of what seems to be warehouses and garage spaces. I got lucky and found a parking spot at the front of the lot. The studio space itself is charming and relaxing. I love the small lights they have hanging from the ceiling, and the temperature inside was cool and comfortable. There was an area to place our personal belongings, and the studio was clean and well taken care of. The class I went there for was done by a traveling group, so I won't go in detail about the experience, but I enjoyed it! I would visit this space again.

My daughter was a member of the proam family for 6 years. Unfortunately, I have to say that the…read morebusiness went down in quality of how they treat families since Ms. Tina left. It became more of a money business and unfortunately I decided to take my daughter elsewhere. Since the very beginning (she's a late September baby) she was dancing with the same girls and then they decided that they were going to do grade levels and move her with the younger girls. I was completely disappointed because she auditioned for the company team and she was good enough to have a seat there, but since we could not afford it, they punished her by basically moving her back a level. She did not belong with that group. First of all, my daughter was the tallest one in the group, which gave her a complex. I live 24 minutes away from the studio, but didn't mind driving because my daughter was part of proam for 6 yrs. I tried to have the company understand my concerns, but they basically brushed us off. They told me to find another studio closer to my home after a 6 yr commitment! That is completely unacceptable. When I did dance, it was definitely different. I was treated like family, regardless of whether or not I had the cashflow to buy the studio. My daughter left in August and out of respect, I wasn't going to write a review, but we are still completely hurt. I drive to Pompano every day, so distance isn't an issue for me. I am just sorry that after 6 yrs, they sent my daughter away. I am happy to say that we found a studio that respects us and treats us like family. Proam should take lessons because they don't treat their dancers like a family unless there is money coming in. Shame on you. It's absolutely disgraceful.
