So glad Dance Plus is one of the few dance supply shops in town that are still left standing after Hurricane Amazon did away with quite a lot of them. I only come to this store once a year to re-up on my daughters dance supplies for the following school year. I have yet experienced any bad vibes from the staff and everything that I always need they have. The staff is super friendly and to get help in less than a minute is my cup of tea. I have the slightest idea about ballet slipper and different styles of tights and jazz pants, but the staff is knowledgable and extremely helpful with helping find the products. Not to mention their prices are way more reasonable than Leotardi. When trying on ballet slippers the sales associate helps you try on your slippers and make sure you have the proper size and fit. Then once you have the proper slipper they will then adjust the straps and sew them for you. My daughter is always pleased and happy once we are done grabbing her items. Most definitely a place I would tell anyone who need their dance attire to go to. read more

I have been there twice and experienced rude staff. Selection is not bad, but others have also commented to me about the unfriendly staff, especially to children. They need to understand that children are curious and admire anything as it relates to a "ballerina". There are too many other places to buy ballet and dancewear in Miami. I was on a mission today to buy the first pair of ballet slippers i'd purchased in wayyyy too long. So long in fact, that the place I used to frequent closed some time ago and I had no idea. Before I embark on my plan to reembrace the world of dance, I had to pick up a pair of ballet slippers (because i'm nowhere near pointe shape). After asking several dancer friends for recommendations, I settled on Dance Plus and boy am I glad I did! It took me some time to get to Dance Plus since I live on Brickell and realized that 1) not only was I running late, but 2) I had no idea exactly where the store was located. About 10 minutes before they closed I called for exact directions. Not only did they help me find the place, but also waited until I got there before closing. Once inside, the staff was courteous and extremely helpful. Dance Plus will now be my go-to for all of my dance needs. Compared to other dance stores in the entire Miami area , I have found driving to this one is worth it. It is now a 40 mile trip. Great selection of pointe & other shoes and a perfect fitting with ribbon sewing makes for a perfect purchase. & ps Well mannered children rarely have issues when shopping for ballet attire. My daughter is a dancer, and we come here a lot. They have a great selection of leotards and shoes, and if they don't have what you want, they will order it. For example, we found some pointe shoes she liked at another store, and they got them for us. I prefer to patronize a local business than order online.
