Came here Xmas shopping for my dance obsessed daughter. I'm glad I did not bring her or we would have never left! They have all kinds of specialty items and they have the largest selection I've seen in Miami. Ended up buying more than what I came for because they have a lot of cute items. The leotard selection is huge but most were in the $50 range which is more than I normally pay for leotards. I got some flamenco shoes $70 but those are normally expensive. Did not give it a 5 stars because the prices are very high. read more

Dancing Supplies Depot - Entrance - Dance Wear Near Me - Miami, Florida

Disappointed yet again with the service always given a run around no one really knows how to answer basic questions or charge correctly your card the first time. Save your time and money go elsewhere if your studio doesn't require you to place orders here. read more

Great customer service! Maggie went above and beyond with our daughter's custom fit for her first pointe shoes. She's very knowledgeable and sweet. It is pricey, though. "Parents don't dance; they finance," or so it goes... :-) read more

Spent $100 to buy a pair of shoes , they told me to go home and watch a youtube video to figure out how to make it fit, said they don't have the tools to fix it, all they need is a needle to make sure they make the right hole for you, A needle, yes, a needle, I tried to do it myself and ended up ruining the shoes. Going elsewhere next time where they actually care, And I buy a shoe that I dont have to fix myself before I wear it ! read more

Today 12/8/22 my daughter and I were denied service to try on and purchase pointe shoes because they "didn't have anyone". We knew exactly which shoes we needed as this is our 3rd purchase for pointe shoes. The girl in the back first told us that we needed to have our toe pads in order to try them on, as an excuse to not see us. We told her we would buy new ones there. She told us to sit only to return minutes later and tell us that they didn't have anyone to help us, that we would need to make an appointment. My daughter overheard the staff saying "What are we supposed to do with these people, they didn't even bring their toe pads." Terrible customer service. read more

This place has everything a dancer needs, however it is small and crowded with merchandise providing limited mobility to move around especially on a weekend when all the dance moms decide to come. They've got hip hop, ballet, flamenco shoes, accessories and skirts, which is what I came in to purchase. However, the skirt I bought was too big when I tried it at home, so when I came back to return it....to my surprise, they DONT REFUND. They take the item back but you only get a store credit. Well, I wanted my money back, I did not need a store credit, because Ive got everything else, but she insisted that NO WAY I could get a refund and not even when Ive asked to speak with the manager. I felt that they stole from me $63 + tax. Terrible business policy. I will never go back. read more

Worst customer service, very expensive and the quality is very poor. There are other great dance stores with so much better customer service. The staff is very rude. read more

Went in today to buy jazz shoes for my daughter. Left with pointe shoes and tights, too. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They know how to find the right size and fit. They know what each particular dance school requires. We have been shopping there since 2012 when my daughter started dancing. read more

The only reason I cannot give this store a full five stars is because everything is exorbitantly over-priced. That is, quite frankly, its major drawback. If you are not terribly brand-oriented and only need a pair of decent leggings; Target or discount dance supply (online) will suffice. I tried on a pair of no-name cotton leggings at this store that were priced at $32! It was preposterous! I have been dancing for years, and I know where money should be spent when it comes to dance supplies, and that is SHOES! You can't get cheap-o when it comes dance shoes, so visiting a store like this one and trying on pointes, heels, dance sneakers, slippers, etc, is the wise thing to do. I had a great experience with my Gaynor Minden pointe shoe fitting. The fitter spent a good half hour to forty five minutes measuring every little detail of my foot. We tried on several pairs until we hit the jackpot. If you are looking to begin training on Mindens, please, please, get them properly fitted first. At this store, the fitting was only $15. Once you obtain your measurements, you can find them online for approximately $20 less. I had such a great experience with my fitting that I ended up buying the shoes on the spot. I also bought a pair ballet flats and rosin (again, both about $10-$15 over-priced). Come here if you want to get a good pair of shoes. And save your money to buy cheaper leotards and pants online. Tip: Check the clearance rack! I found a gorgeous velvet leotard for my toddler for only $12 (half off original price). Sometimes, you can snatch a bargain from this section. read more

First time ever buying ballet clothes. Had no idea what I needed to buy my daughter but the staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. I thought the dance uniform was going to be expensive there but I found it to be very reasonably priced. You might end up saving a few dollars at another place but will have to go to different stores to find everything you need and end up just saving maybe 10-12$. Not worth the hassle and time for me. This place had everything and they were quick and have great customer service. I will continue to go there for as long as my daughter dances. You'll also help a small business in our community. read more

Nice place and good service was able to resolve needs and what we were looking for. They create what you need if not found

Horrible experience at this store. A group of 10 girls are in a dance and we needed to purchase 10 tutu's. They charged two and after completing the second transaction they said they made a mistake and need to charge the other tutu's for $10 more. I told the "supervisor" unfortunately that is your mistake and you have to give us the rest of the tutus for the same price. She supposedly called the manager and said no. I then asked for our money back for the two tutus she just rang up and she told us no. She tried to give us the run around but she saw I wasn't buying any of it. She supposedly went to the back to call the manager and we finally got our money back. A waste of an hour. We went online and paid $30 less for the same item they were selling us. Never going back! read more

THIS STORE IS A FRAUD! Lets start by saying that If I could rate this place ZERO stars I would. I went to this store to purchase my daughter a new pair of pointe shoes. Yolanda which they call the pointe shoe specialist at the store fitted her. We arrived with my daughters old shoes Grishko's pointes shoes, and we told them we wanted the same brand. She told us that they did not carry those shoe there. So she tried two pairs of shoes on my daughter Bloch's & Gaynor's. Since she was the "Professional" we went with her advise the Gaynor's. We paid and left. My daughter danced 2 minutes with them at her studio. Both ballet teachers informed her that the shoes were too wide and not even two pads would fix them. They were fitted incorrectly! I contacted the store & informed them of the situation and they advised me to come to the store and they would assist us in an exchange. We got to the store and the store manager Helen which claimed to be a FOOT SURGEON DR. for all the dancers in MIAMI CITY BALLET!!!!! tried the shoes on my daughter, she confirmed that they were way to big and questioned Yolanda on the fitting. I told her we needed to exchange them because her employee fitted her incorrectly and we trusted what her employee recommended and she was the professional. She said she would try to fix the situation, she stuffed her shoes with all types of pads they sold at their store. Nothing worked!! I told her several times that since she claimed to be a Dr. she should know very well that poorly fitted pointe shoes cause injuries and that her first priority should be to make sure that she and all kids are fitted correctly! She mentioned that it clearly stated in the receipt that they do not return or exchange pointe shoes. I told her that since the error was made by the store employee that should be an exception. Its part of good customer service!! I also informed them that I didn't want my money back I only wanted a correctly fitted shoes, even if the correctly fitted pair were less than what the original ones cost. She continued to fit her and found a pair that fitted. Grishko the original brand that we hade requested from the start. I asked her since these fit her perfect are you going to make an exception, she said no you have to buy these and we will give you the straps for free ($6.00 straps) After they just wouldn't help I requested to speak to the store owner. Helen informed me that they do not live here and to just leave my name and number in the front so they could call me. As I walked toward the front I checked on sunbiz who the owner was, it was her all along Helen the self proclaimed Foot Surgeon Dr. for Miami City Ballet, aka store manager. When I showed her my phone she turned white like a Ghost. She knew she was caught in a lie! I told her its sad to know that you being the owner of this store should promote excellent customer service yet you prefer to make a petty $143.00 and lose a customer. ::: If u want your child to get fitted correctly for pointe shoes go to Ballet Boutique ask for Gaby, or go to Dance plus. Please don't waste your time going to Dancing Supplies Depot. They only care about the money and not about the importance of correctly fitting your child. ::: read more

My daughter takes several dance classes so I feel like I'm here ALL THE TIME. The staff is really great, very helpful, honest and reliable. They also have a huge selection and can special order even more than they have in store. It's honestly a very convenient location for me, but even if it was out of the way it would be worth the drive. read more

LOVE THIS STORE!!! Has everything I need always!! AMAZING customer service! Every time I enter the store i'm automatically greeted and treated like a princess!! They help you look for everything you need and even if they don't have it in the store they find a way to get it for you!! read more

Let's begin by saying this is the amped up Y2K version of dance supply stores in the greater Miami area. The staff is young, vibrant and full of energy and you can see it in their creations. Aside from having an entire stock of all the traditional dance wear they make their own stuff too! Xochi is the best she is very customer service oriented and genuinely concerned about making sure your order is correct. The point shoe selection is always abundant and the prices aren't bad either. They make costumes for groups as well. This place is wall-to-wall and floor to ceiling covered in leotards, tights, dance bags, warm ups, leg warmers, hair accessories etc. They supply leotards to Miami City Ballet and they have an entire section of the pint-sized dance wear for your baby ballerinas. If you want to check it out, ask for Xochi and tell her Yendi sent you. read more

This is a good shop for like leotards and things like that but the dance bags are VERY low quality. If you are looking for your first pointe shoes DO NOT go there they do not know how to fit pointe shoes read more

This store is truly amazing I have got to say! It has everything you would need or you would be looking for.Leotards, socks, shorts, tops, shoes, the list is endless!!But one thing they should really lower is the prices.I think their prices are way too expensive!I went to buy a leotard for my daughter and I wasted almost $60.00 plus tax just for a leotard! read more

Everything you can imagine that you would need and then some. Came in looking for a leotard for a costume and everyone was super helpful. Beautiful and huge selection of all dance items. Highly recommend this place, even if it's a little out of your way. read more

If I could give them a NO STAR I would!!! On labor day I went to have my daughter measured for a pre pointe shoes, and if I say pre pointe obviously this is my first time at this. therefore after waiting half an hour for that one specific lady that is certified for pointe shoes, she finally attended us. she measured her, brought us a shoe, my daughter was excited and everything looked great. she went to a back room sewed the ribbons to the shoe (by machine) I went to the front spent over $100 paid and left. The next day my daughter gets to her pre pointe class the teacher said "this is the wrong shoe". "This is not a pre pointe shoe, this is a pointe shoe" and "you CANNOT use it in my class". Very disappointed my daughter came to tell me. The next morning as we were being warned of hurricane Irma, I took the time to call the store in order to let them know of the situation because I didn't want time to pass by being told it was too late to exchange. whoever answered me said she would call me back as the manager was not there. Since none called me I called again during the late afternoon. The same girls comes on the phone to tell me that they don't have any pre pointe shoes and that this is the shoe the company capezio sells as a pre pointe shoe and since the shoe has been sewed they cannot take any returns or exchange. They made the mistake of selling me the wrong shoe, They went to their back room sewed the ribbon on the shoe and they are telling me the company does not make a pre pointe shoe. I think capezio should know of the wrong doing of this store because this is false information. They do have a pre pointe shoe and it is even half the price they charged me for the pointe shoe that now I cannot do anything with it. They are thieves and I would advise everyone not to go in that store to spend any money. read more
