They are always nice at the desk welcoming you with a hello and saying goodbye when leaving. The cleaning crew are always cleaning and the place is spotless. You always have cleaning wipes to clean down machines. There is rarely dust anywhere and the bathrooms are always clean. There is a large parking lot but it does get filled up quickly so give yourself ample time to look for a spot. There is brand new equipment as of the beginning of 2025 so you are basically working on everything New. The price of this gym is expensive. if you just use the gym area you are paying for the whole gym. Pool, and other amenities and such. This is though I think the best gym so far I would say on the island for the money. Nice people working here , nice clientele, clean atmosphere. It does get crowded at times but tell me what gym doesn't.

Even a YMCA staff escorted those maintenance workers into the women's locker room and shower room the Y staffs would not make sure everyone aware of it. I personally don't feel secure in this environment. I understand things broken and need repairing. It's impossible to closed down the entire locker room for just maintenance purposes. But the management should do a better job on this. I don't blame those maintenance workers. It is 100% responsibility of the YMCA management to pretect their members. They should have trained their staffs better to make sure everyone aware of the situation. No one wants to experience surprises like this. ***Updates: Thanks for writing back. Here is more information about both incidents as requested. Look forward to seeing any improvement. The first incident happened sometime last year. Once I walked out of the shower room I heard some men talking in the sauna room. I quickly ran back in the shower room and told the cleaning lady what happened. Then she talked to the YMCA female staff who accompanied the maintenance workers. She then walked them outside and asked me to finish changing in one of the stalls in the locker area so the workers can continue the repairing. I was not notified by any staffs about the situation when I was in the shower. The second incident just happened couple weeks ago 9/26. When I entered the shower room from the pool I saw a YMCA female staff standing in the hallway and sipping ice coffee. I saw one of the shower stalls occupied at that time. As soon as I entered one of the shower stalls I heard a man voice. He was supposed to check which showers were broken. I was not being notified when I walked in the shower room even the staff saw me.

Absolutely horrible experience. Lesson learned that you basically get what you pay for as this is…read morethe cheapest dance studio in the area. Always had a problem with a certain teacher - tried to force us in the beginning to take privates saying they were necessary. I complained to the studio owner and she said that's not what the teacher meant - which was a lie on the teachers part. KEEP IN MIND I BROUGHT THIS STUDIO 5 girls - 2 girls which joined the competition team. So do the math on how much money I brought this business, not including my own daughter who joined the competition team as well. The teacher ( who always disliked me for no reason) took my daughters shoes multiple times and would not give them back but pretended I could get them as she ignored my daughters request to get them back. The SO gossiped about myself and other children which resulted in the SO's own best friend leaving the studio . The moms made it a point to advise me she didn't like me for no reason. I was always respectful and professional b/c I don't engage with grown adult women who are insecure. I was there for my child. We were planning our exit this year but I wanted to fulfill my contract obligations. The last straw was the same teacher who I always had issues with (keep in mind there was never an argument or anything of that nature- we always played fake and smiled) lied to the studio owner saying I made aggressive comments. NEVER and I repeat NEVER happened. I expressed how happy I was to be leaving and couldn't wait for this dance stuff to be over as I spoke to my friend in the studio parking lot. My daughter always felt uncomfortable when the SO was around because she would make rude comments in front of all the children and speak out of term . These children are 7-8 yrs old only. The SO owner has had many issues with parents over the span of 15yrs even resulting in a parent physically attacking her...she is abrasive and unpredictable with her comments. It's very known in Woodbridge which is why I'm so upset with myself that I did not take advice from multiple friends not to join this studio. The teacher I've had issues with has been accused of pulling the kids arms and threatening the children that if a good performance isn't given she will remove them from the dance. Again, these are 7-8 yr old little girls!!! The Teacher lied to the SO owner & stated I made aggressive comments. The SO then filed a police report and terminated my contract right after I paid for Nationals & Worlds. Worlds - she sprung on the moms last minute as a last ditch effort money grab. We were all highly aggravated by this so I voiced my frustration professionally in email. I have everything in email and FB messenger. I then filed a police report against the studio owner, filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission for fraud and reported her business to the BBB. I will be filing a lawsuit for fraud and defamation of character against all her entities . My daughter was so upset to not be able to attend Nationals with all the friends she made. My heart was absolutely broken. I will not allow this SO and teacher to bully me as they have done to so many parents. Just ask around and you will find out for yourself. I will not allow someone to lie on my name and effect my reputation in a negative way as I do business in Woodbridge. Thankfully, I was directed to a new school - Woodbridge School of Dance . Slightly more expensive but like I said in the beginning of my post - you get what you pay for ...lesson learned. Please avoid this studio for the sake of your sanity and your child's safety.
