So this was my 1st time attending here and will definitely be my last. Never been here before and…read moredid not know what to do or what the procedure was. The girl at the desk never provided any information about anything. I did not know I needed quarters for the locker rental, nor did I not know I couldn't wear a baseball cap or have a crossbody bag. As soon as I got on the rink, the attendant told me I had to get off because of my hat. I wasn't upset or anything, I quietly skated off, returned my skates and gathered my belongings. As I was exiting I observed men on the skating rink with beanies on their heads and skull caps. Additionally I observed adults walking on the rink as they were helping their children. I did not know that the rink was also a track. I would think that's a bigger safety hazard than wearing a hat. When I went to the front to inquire about a refund there was a gentleman in front of me who had on a hat and I was tempted to say something to him but I also wanted to see if the clerk would remind him of the hat policy, but she didn't. I don't know if the assumption is that everyone who visits are regulars and know the protocol, but it wouldn't hurt to have signage at the front desk and to also remind the attendants to say something to the patrons.

They had a walking track above looking down on the rink. The prices were affordable ($5 for students) and the staff was very nice! There were tons of booths. We threw all of our belongings in one and it was the kids home base. Their rentals had skates or rollerblades. Even the arcade games were reasonably priced!

Don't listen to the "teenager" who angry posted about this dance studio. She apparently didn't have…read morethe skill, the desire and the determination to become a great dancer with that "attitude". Anyway, I grew up and danced with both owners. I believe I know some of the other teachers there as well. CDE's level of teaching dance supersedes that of any other dance school in the entire tri-state area. Bank on that. Many of their students have gone on to the best Performing Arts High Schools as well as top notch Colleges. Many/most students get scholarships and are awarded high honors, join a major ballet company, end up on Broadway (Rockettes or Musicals), or teach at prestigious dance companies all over the globe. Competitive? Yes, of course. They are great enough to be. If your child has the skill and the drive to take it all the way then you WANT CDE. You want them to be trained by the best in the business. If you want to be coddled, lied to, and to be taken advantage of financially: go to a dance school that has the teacher's name in it. Ms Joy's School of Dance will gladly take your money and lie to your child about his/her skill level. Think of it like this: if your child wants to dance as a once a week hobby or a recreation: CDE might not be the place for them but they will make sure they dance like a pro anyway. If you think your kid may want a lifelong career in dance, desire to try out for any of the tv dance shows out there, compete at a high level, dance on Broadway, teach dance, or anything of the sort: you WANT CDE.

The skills of the dancers were absolutely solid, the choreography was beautiful, the choices of music and numbers were modern and beautifully executed and the costumes were stunning. I felt that I was at a professional dancing company performance the whole time. I loved how they integrated classical ballet techniques into the non-ballet numbers to showcase the solid skil-set foundation of their students. All in all, I was immensely impressed. Spectacular job of both teachers and students! Congratulations to owners, teachers and all the dancers on a fantastic performance and thank you to Christina Manousos for graciously providing me with an opportunity to watch it.

I joined the school this year looking for dance lessons and ended up with a community. We just had our winter manmohini show on Jan 7. Half of Edison was there. I strongly recommend this place for dance for any age, starting from kids to adults. We are a very chill go with the flow type group. We all have fun but we know how to put on a good show as well.

So I suggested them instead of doing online classes why dont they do the classes twice a week. If they dont agree to my suggestion they can say no. But they removed me out of the group. All the money that I payed for my daughter for the month is gone. They did not credit me the security deposit either as they removed me from the group. Also they took money for the the June performance. Forget about returning the money back they have stopped total communications they are not picking up my calls , nor replying to my chats or emails. As a parent I might have some concerns/questions if they change the process . Instead of answering my questions and making me feel comfortable with their online teaching. They removed my daughter from the classes and not refunding the money. Looking at the good reviews when I joined Satrangi for my daughter I expected them to be thorough professionals and I am totally disappointed.
