During that time, I wasn't curious enough to walk through the doors; I just chalked it up as another brand-new nice-ass spot to ignore as I walked by after hittin' at the beach all day (doing street shows, the best one on da beach alongside Uba-Uba, Mr Animation, & Calipso Tumblers, of course [Big ups to Harry Perry & Hercule's]. Anyways, I walked in a few days ago bc it was one of the only things I recognized. After donating all my decks and snapping the only one I kept in half, I wasn't trying to buy another one - so I'm very grateful I was able to, and did. Skated everyday since three days ago, and I feel the most genuine to myself I have in a while for doing so (exponentially affecting productivity). Thank you Nick!

The store is remarkable and serves the Board community well. The thing about Arbor over other sporting goods type stores is that the products designed and materials used follow strict sourcing requirements to reduce the impact to earth. I got my first Arbor shirt at REI over 20 years ago and have been an avid follower of their products. I ended up buying several sweatshirts and hoodies which were embroidered or printed in very cool fashion. All the items I purchased were 50 percent off and are of great quality. The cashier and main employee was really nice, as we had nice conversations about our dogs and how she got into boarding. With such nice savings, I'll be back for value priced summer clothing in the next few months.

He listed to me, advised me and then got me on the perfect board which he also had in stock (I was expecting to have to wait a while to get one made for me). Pricing was very fair, product quality is top notch and I got the expert advise I wanted and needed so badly from Paul (who is a ripper/bad ass surfer himself). All around a 5 star experience! I inquired via email (from his site) and he replied back same day. We exchanged a number of emails, with him sending a handful of questions each time to pinpoint what kind of surfer I was, my skill level, and what my preferences were for my next board. I set up a meeting and he asked to bring my current boards with me. He analyzed the crap out of my board (in a good way) and thoroughly explained what he can do and what kind of ideas he had. Wayne hand shapes each and every board and seems to be very detailed oriented. He is also a really cool dude who has a lot of good stories to share. Board was finished according to schedule (less than 4 weeks). I've surfed my board twice already and I have no regrets in buying it.

The owner Jeff is a super kind guy who is knowledgeable about surfboards, gear and surf culture. Brian, the manager is top-notch! Super knowledgeable, helpful, surfs himself and understands the boards and gear that he sells. He might not tell you this, but he's a top notch shaper himself although he doesn't talk much about it. This is a local store that deserves support. They've got killer stock of epic surfboards and clothing. It's the kind of place you can go in, have a drink or a coffee, talk story and look at some clips and some of their old boards they have on the wall. Definitely deserves some hype and some credit -- they've been around for a long time and in this economy it's important to support these guys. I've bought many surfboards here over the years and will continue to do so. Ridershack and ET Surf are the two core shops in Los Angeles that I go to.

When a pivot cup broke, Kevin replaced them for cheaper than ordering the parts on Amazon. Plus he installed them and I trust him more than me stumbling through the process and hoping a wheel doesn't roll off. They have second hand skates for sale, and you can try them and get them fitted/adjusted in the store. I really appreciate this place!

Otherwise, I'd recommend going elsewhere. I feel bad for the guy, but its better to be upfront about your ability than waste peoples time.

I was in the market for a new longboard and I'd heard great things about Stamps' boards, so I…read moredecided to pay him a visit. I went to see the guy in his shop, and he seemed pretty cool. I explained what kind of surfer I was and what kind of board I had in mind, and he suggested the shape that would be best for what I was looking for. He was out of town on vacation for a couple weeks just before I initially came to see him, so he explained that, due to the fact that he just got back into town after being gone for so long, he was really backed up with orders and that my board would take a while to finish (about 10 weeks or so). But the final product came out great. He promised a really nice board, and he delivered. Great shape, no complaints.
