Danada House puts on great events! We just attended Cookies and Cottontail to meet the Easter Bunny and had a great time. Tickets were $5, super affordable and there was no long line of waiting for your photo. It was organized well so that you received a number at the beginning, went to the main room to enjoy crafts and cookies and then had your number called when it was your turn! We have also attended the fall festival which is free and SO much fun. Horses, food trucks, children's theater, we love it! Beautiful place to walk around and I'm looking forward to future events here! read more

The venue did not follow the statewide mask mandate nor have any safety protocols, accessible hand sanitizing, or ability to social distance. The venue allowed and condoned a crammed 200+ people into an extremely small indoor space without masks for the entire evening. Many people weren't vaccinated. Not one employee asked any of the guests to mask up. If you want to have a super spreader wedding or possibly get COVID as an attendee, this is the place for you. They must only care about the $$ and not about people's lives. read more

WOW! I was blown away, this is such a beautiful venue! I attended a good friends wedding last month (December) and was left with warm lovely memories. It was an extremely snowy cold day, we pulled up to the Danada House and the valet took our car and parked it. The Danada House is located right outside the Danada Forrest Preserve. When we came in I noticed the traditional American decor, (imagine something in the likes of Ralph Lauren polo house). This was totally up my alley I walked around and noticed some equestrian trophies (uggh I LOVE horses!!). The house had an upstairs where the bridal party was getting ready. We mingled a bit and then proceeded to walk down through a hallway that took us to another building where the wedding was about to take place. We watched the ceremony (I admit I cried). We walked out the room and down the hall back into the house and had horderves and drinks while we waited for the reception. The building in which the ceremony took place was now set up for the reception. There was plenty of space for dancing, a photo booth and lots of tables. Although it was winter the bridal party was able to take photos with the horses, the pictures turned out gorgeous. This wedding was an absolute dream wedding. If I ever got married this place is it! Attended a wedding here, the venue is beautiful. That's the single highlight of this place. The inside is not conducive for groups larger than 100 people. It was jam packed, loud and with no where to stand while we were waiting for the main dinning area to open during cocktails and appetizers. When we finally got to our seats to the reception, we all instantly noticed how uncomfortable the seats were. Multiple speeches we given and we were not served food during that time, so by the time we received our entree it was close to 9pm. They only had the venue until around 1130 so not being served food really cut into the dance time. This did not make a lot of people happy, until the food was served. Then we had all wished they never brought it out at all. Typical wedding food, bland, over cooked and soggy... Next time I get invited to a wedding here I'll remember to be busy that day read more

We had our wedding here in July 2018. We looked for wedding venues close to two years out from when we actually wanted to get married, we just knew we wanted a summer or fall Saturday evening wedding. We were shocked to find out that Danada books all Saturdays and most Fridays insanely fast two years out. We were put on a wait list of what appeared to be about 20 with a general request for any summer Saturday in 2018. Thankfully, after about 3 weeks had past we were given a call that the hold was let go for the July 28th date and we immediately put our deposit down. Moral of the story is, if you are more than 2 years our inquiry immediately about the hold process as I do not believe they require a deposit at that time and if you are thinking about getting engaged and know Danada is your dream venue maybe hold the venue 2 years out? I don't know it's a crazy process, who knows that far in advance that they want to get married! Thankfully it worked for us and I'm glad it's not all about who can pay the most money either because that isn't always fair or right either. Kathy gave us the tour of Danada and worked with us several times leading up to our wedding and the night of our actual wedding. We also spoke to Jill several times as well. Both ladies were super sweet and helpful throughout the whole process. Kathy was always optimistic about us getting our wedding at Danada and we appreciated her guidance throughout the process. She helped with set up at the event and made sure we left with all our belongings at the end of the event. The property itself is absolutely beautiful! It's perfect for an all in one venue. There are three great spots for ceremony sites: in the garden area which includes an arch, out by the fences which can be done under two trees, or by the horseshoe area surrounded by white pillars. Then guests can walk around the house or outside or on the patio for cocktail hour and the reception takes place in the atrium with the hanging lights and windowed walls letting in the natural light. There is an upstairs area which has a beautiful bridal suite to get ready in and a small area for the guys to hangout in. They also have a large table in one of the rooms. The evening rental time is from 4-12 with the wedding ending at 11. However, you can pay to extended that an hour for your wedding to end at midnight (note you will have to pay your vendors more as well usually). Something to think about as well is that you have to make sure to remove all your stuff that evening, although people helped me with this it's just not something I want to think about on my wedding night. I wish there was a way to make this not your burden but to check with you on who is in charge of this or take the fear away that your stuff won't be trashed or you won't be fined etc. I guess this is a role of a wedding planner but after paying a venue and a catering fee that was just a lot of money to add a third coordinator but little value added. With this time slot I also felt rushed to get all the photos I wanted but I understand that they can book two events in one day so they are going to do that. It is too expensive however to pay for the whole day. If anything I'd opt to pay for an extra hour before my wedding but I know that might not be feasible as a standard offering. Takeaway feedback: if you are not a big photo person or the average photo person than the 4-12 time slot will be fine for you, if you want a million photos, really talk about this with your photographer and come up with a game plan. Think about if additional hour at the end of the night is worth the extra costs at Danada, catering, dj, etc! Overall, I loved the venue and I'm glad I had my wedding here! The Danada House was our dream-wedding venue. We looked at it over a year and half in advance and were disappointed to learn that there were not any openings until over two years later for a Saturday. Being a teacher, it was important to me to get married in the summer. I inquired many times about cancellations until finally we got a call from Jill telling us that there was an opening in July. The only problem was, we had already put down a deposit on another venue. We decided to just cut our losses and book the Danada House anyway. I am honestly so happy we did because it ended up being the most GORGEOUS wedding venue I could have ever imagined. Everything about this venue was perfect for our wedding. What I especially loved was how beautiful the Danada House gardens were for our wedding pictures. It is just such a breathtaking venue and I heard throughout the night from guests, "Wow this place is beautiful!" In addition to the venue itself, I found the staff at the Danada House helpful and friendly. We chose Danada House for our wedding in Nov 2017. It was really easy and hassle-free working with Jill. She was responsive to our phone calls and answered all of our questions promptly. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. We had a nighttime ceremony and brought some flood lights to help with the lighting. There are a lot of easily accessible outlets by the trellis area which simplified the setup. My husband and I got married at Danada House recently. The evening was perfect. Everything was set up exactly as we had requested before we arrived. The day-of staff member was lovely and offered to help with anything we needed. Our guests raved about the beauty of the facility and grounds. I'm docking one star because of the other staff members we worked with. As I said, the staff member who was onsite the day of our wedding was fabulous. The two staffers we were in contact with in the months before the event, however, were not very pleasant. When we scheduled an initial meeting to discuss renting the facility, they didn't tell us that we weren't the only ones meeting with them. It was more of an open house than a real meeting. We rolled with it and did eventually get some one-on-one time with a staffer. She kept harping on the fact that all Saturdays were booked until 2013. Good to know, of course, but we told her a Sunday would be fine with us after she said it the first time. Again and again, she told us how busy they were and how hard it was to get a reservation. I almost thought she was trying to get rid of us. But we stuck it out and booked our date. After all, it is an incredibly beautiful place, and the price is decent. As we planned for our event, we had another staff contact. She was pretty crotchety. I think she prefers very traditional weddings and just didn't quite grasp our concept. We also veered off course and picked a caterer that isn't on their preferred list. We agreed to the extra $500 fee (even with that fee, the caterer we chose was cheaper than any of those on Danada's approved list). But this staffer kept harping on the fee to the point that I thought she was going to tell us we weren't allowed to use another caterer after all. She was also very ineffective at email communication, which I consider crucial when contracts and money and important life events are being discussed. After all was said and done, our wedding turned out to be perfect. I just wish we could have been more confident of that BEFORE the day-of. Knowing what I know now, I would absolutely book an event there in the future. I just might ask for a different staff contact. read more

I haven't experienced a wedding or their service here firsthand, my review is based solely on visiting the place for a potential wedding venue. We had an appointment to tour Danada House and learn about weddings there. This was the sixth venue that we looked at, so we were expecting a personal tour with the venue manager and a sit-down time to ask questions. That did not happen. We show up at 1:00 p.m., right on time. The manager told us that she was very busy and the place was packed, so we were welcome to walk through the venue ourselves, before she spoke to us. So we awkwardly walk through the house and reception space, not really sure what's what. It's a gorgeous place, but the house itself feels like a museum. As a wedding guest, I would be afraid that I would break something or spill wine on something. After our self-guided quasi tour, the manager stands in the hallway with us, asks if we have any questions. She does not take us in her office or explain the policies. One of the first things she said was "almost all of our Saturdays in 2011 are booked, just so you know." Our visit was early March 2010. Way to show us that you're interested in our business! Not to mention that we did not want a Saturday wedding anyways. While we "talked" to her, many other people touring the place asked her questions. It was more of an open house than an appointment to see a wedding venue. In addition to the disinterested and unfriendly welcome, the wedding day policies there are inflexible, and the place is quite expensive. Most of all, we want to do business with people that want to do business with us, NOT those that feel they're doing us a favor by doing business with us. I received a call a few days later to follow up with us, and I described exactly how our "tour" went, and that we were NOT interested in booking our wedding with Danada House. Bottom Line: Danada House is a beautiful site. If finances and flexibility are not concerns, this is a wonderful choice. For the masses, I do not recommend Danada House. read more

I got married at Danada House last summer and it was perfect. I do have to agree with the event coordinator to be somewhat rude and pretentious, but you really don't work too much with her. We rented the venue for he entire day which I would really recommend. It has an entire upstairs with a large bathroom and a few large rooms to get ready. The girls used it to get ready then the whole bridal party came up for the reception for a few pre drinks, which one if my fondest memories of my wedding day. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and provide numerous spots for pictures. The atrium is also very nice. However, Danada House does not provide hardly ANYTHING, only tables and chairs. Our caterer provided the linens and glass wear. We went with My Chef, and they were wonderful. They know the venue really well and did such an excellent job. We also got many comments that it was the best wedding food people have ever had. There was such a huge selection, and if they dont have what you want, I'm sure they would get it. We did a dessert table that everyone raved about, and it looked amazing. We went with All Flowers by Marissa for our floweriest and they were also wonderful. Looking at our centerpieces and bouquets you would never guess we had a tight budget. Overall, after looking at many venues I think Danade House is one of the best in Dupage. I wish that I could live here! The location is just beautiful. It is very remote with plenty of parking. Dinning area is very open and modern. There is lots of space for big parties. My wedding was on October 8th, 2012 and I couldn't have asked for better. Our guests raved about the place and many remarked they had no idea it had existed prior to our wedding. It looks incredible during autumn. The atrium was beautiful, sheltering our guests from the cold wind while still feeling "open" due to all the glass windows. The grounds, courtyard, ceremony site, and whole house were clean and decorated beautifully. The upstairs area was a wonderful spot for me to get ready before my wedding. My bridal party and their partners really enjoyed it, too. There are full bathrooms with bath tubs and showers in this upstairs area. There are couches, chairs, and even a small conference room, too. I was glad to have both ceremony and reception in one place. There is also ample, free parking. My guests didn't need to drive somewhere else and find a new location after the ceremony. This venue is very affordable, especially during weekdays. We were able to have a beautiful wedding without breaking the bank. Be warned, they have gotten extremely popular due to word of mouth and awards from The Knot. Booking here may get really difficult. We booked 18 months in advance in order to guarantee our date. I would love to have another event at Danada in the future. read more

The staff here is simply awful. I attended a wedding here over the summer and my server named Kathy decided to give me a dirty look and proceed to pour my drink out. She offered everyone wine except me including my 16 year old cousin. I am 22 and I do look young but what happened that night was just not right. I felt personally attacked by her. I am a cancer survivor and I had problems with my growth and my bones so I look younger. I was sitting next to my dads girlfriend and she was asking her if I was allowed to have coffee as if I was a child. She never asked me my age or for an ID or anything like that and she shot us dirty looks the entire night. This venue is nice but unfortunately the awful server I had completely ruined my experience. My daughter's wedding was completely beautiful at Danada House. The venue is wonderful with several interesting and beautiful photograph opportunities all over the grounds. The staff was great too. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day and had the ceremony in the west patio/garden are ( advise your guests to bring sunglasses if the ceremony is near sunset). However, it was nice to know that if needed we could have the ceremony inside the atrium. Location is convenient to the expressway and several hotels. Danada House is THE place to get married in the west Chicago suburbs. Their venue is one of a kind, offering natural beauty, seclusion and a lot of freedom to personalize the space. When you drive in, it's like entering a world of your own--you almost forget you're in the middle of a suburb. It's wonderful that your party is the only one the grounds so you don't have to compete with other weddings like you would at a banquet hall. Many of my June 20, 2014 wedding guests had never been to Danada and raved about how beautiful the wedding was. The best part is you don't have to break the bank with decorations because the space is so beautiful on its own. For our outdoor ceremony, we had four lanterns sitting on pillars and rose petals down the aisle and it was gorgeous. There are also a ton of different locations on the grounds for your pictures. I can't wait to see all the unique shots that we'll have... some even include horses! The service at Danada is also exceptional. Jill is great to work with--she's very organized responsive and answered many of my questions. The venue is gorgeous no doubt about that. We coordinated with Jill and she was very good. On the day of the event it was a disaster however. A girl named Kathy was assigned to coordinate our events and she was clueless throughout the event. We hosted a live bbq (all discussed with Jill and approved). Throughout the set up Kathy kept complaining and saying things such as "why are you guys even doing this outside" and " I did not even know you guys were doing this outside and why don't you eat inside" and "how are you going to take this down" and any question my vendors had she responded saying that she does not know etc. She was a poor coordinator and at the end of the event instead of coming to the host to state that our time was ending and it is time to wrap up she very rudely made an announcement to the guests and very unprofessionally asked them to get up and leave. At the end of the event my event coordinator asked is everything good from our end and she said "you guys are good to go" ( her exact words). The next day she goes like oh it was not okay and they broke a lamp. When I addressed my concerns with the president of Danada house (Mr. Bruce) he stated in his email "as a previous client of the Danada House (my daughter's wedding reception was there last summer, and Kathy was present), I assure you that RUDE is not her nature"....Just because she was pleasant at the president of Danada house's daughter wedding doesn't mean she is always present. Also, to point out Danada house was given a date for my event and they gave my date to another couple (Staff other than Jill are very unprofessional, clueless and cannot answer any questions). They were apologetic and gave me a discount to host my event on a separate date which I did (it still caused me some inconvenience but Jill was very nice and accepting of her misunderstanding and it was her professional nature that made me reserve Danada house but the day off was a disaster). Even when I went to check out the venue initially the girl who showed us the venue kept stating "I don't know, ask Jill..If anyone does consider Danada house please be careful of Kathy as a coordinator.... read more

My husband and I got married at Danada House in November 2017 and WOW we were so unbelievably blown away by the beauty of this stunning venue. We had about 180 guests attend our wedding and felt the venue accommodated for everyone perfectly. Jill was incredible with helping us plan our event, visualize the layout of the space for our wedding day and was very attentive to our needs throughout the planning period. We had our cocktail hour held in the house, it felt so elegant and glamorous to be able to roam from room to room, enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks and welcome our guests. Our reception was held in the atrium. The glass corridor that connects the two spaces was dressed with candles and flowers - it was the most grand entrance into the space. All of our guests had plenty of space to comfortably enjoy dinner and there was also ample space for our guests to dance and mingle throughout the evening. When your talent is unhappy you better believe it's going to effect your service. They are extremely close to getting boycotted. We had our wedding at Danada House recently. It was the most perfect spot for us. We used the grounds for our ceremony and had our cocktail hour and reception there. Jill was very helpful throughout the planning stages. On the day of our wedding, everyone commented on how beautiful everything looked there. Upstairs there is a huge beautiful bridal suite as well as a groomsmen suite that you can use all night to keep your stuff in. The place is beautiful. The atrium has such a warm, soft glow at night with all the windows and lighting. The new patio allows guests to mingle outside but still be near the party. A great place for a wedding! read more

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Danada House in October and we were very pleased by the great, affordable service we received. Jill was helpful throughout our year and a half planning. She was very flexible and allowed us to come and see our venue whenever we needed to as we adjusted our plans. The house offers an open house each year which was very helpful. We already had most of our services picked out at this time, but it was a nice time to see how the chairs and tables could be set up. We had the grounds pretty much to ourselves that day. The bridal suit upstairs was perfect for the bridesmaids, flower girls, and myself to get ready. Having everything in one location saved time and stress! There was a staff member there at all times that knew what was going on for the day. We did not have to worry about anything. We gave them our itinerary and they were set. We especially liked that we could pick our caterer, florist, bakery, and every other detail. We were not tied down to a specific set of services. We enjoyed our day to the fullest and our guests had a great time. Many are still commenting on how great the atrium was set up and the lighting for the evening. It was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding venue. It speaks volumes that this place is booked solid! This is why we waited a year and a half for our wedding date. As a wedding reception venue, the Danada House in Wheaton, IL is beautiful, convenient, private and lovely. Our daughter's wedding reception there was fabulous. The generous outdoor front patio with fountain and gardens was a perfect spot for family group photos and casual social gatherings prior to the start of the reception. The house foyer facilitated guest book signing, card and gift drop. Several inner rooms, side sunrooms and outdoor patios provide ample options for guests to mingle and enjoy the cocktail hour. We had the bar, hors d'oeuvres, music, photos and mementos of the couple in the first room off the foyer. Guests who needed quieter settings had plenty of places to go. The Danada House hostess introduced herself to me, the mother of the bride, early in the evening, checked in with me periodically to see if all was well, and was available to attend to things if anything needed attention. The hallway to the atrium was opened just before the plated meal was served and was lit with candles making a lovely entry. The atrium is a lovely, spacious, vaulted, square room with windows all around allowing evening transition from sunset to nightfall. Elegant and simple pendant lights created a beautiful starry-night feel and complemented our candle-lit centerpieces from Shamrock Florist. Many guests commented on how good the food from Marie's Catering was and how well their special needs were accommodated. Service was smooth and seamless. I can't think of a better venue anywhere for a wedding reception than Danada House in Wheaton, IL. Bravo!! read more

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Danada House in September, and it was absolutely the best day! It rained about an hour before the ceremony, but Danada House staff were ready with towels to dry off all of the chairs and make sure our outdoor ceremony went off as planned. The rooms for the wedding party were set up beautifully and ready for us when we arrived and the staff helped us load up our cars afterwards. My husband and I got engaged in April 2011 and started the process of picking a venue to have our wedding. We knew we didn't want a banquet hall or reception hall as those have always struck me as too dark inside and somewhat tacky. We wanted something different. Something unique from all the other friends and family weddings we had been to. We envisioned a location that was open, bright, and beautiful. Danada House is exactly that. We like to "shop around" before we commit to anything, so we visited several reception venues in the Chicago-land area suburbs... but as soon as we stepped foot in Danada House and Atrium, we knew we had found the most beautiful venue we had ever seen. No reception venue view compares to the view you see when you look outside the windows of Danada House. I am a big fan of history and love the historical aspect of Danada. I love the beautiful, antique, ornate feel of the house. I love the newer, bright and airy feel of the atrium. It is the perfect juxtaposition of old and new. The bride and groom suites upstairs are absolutely beautiful... I felt like I was in a dream. (And truly it WAS a dream on my wedding day!) When we spoke with Jill, she was helpful and friendly. We appreciated her patience as my husband and I were still trying to figure out the time of year we wished to be married. Danada House is the type of place that looks incredible no matter what season you choose. At first when we got engaged, we had envisioned a fall wedding. Danada House is so popular now (and rightfully so!) that the soonest fall Saturday we could get married would have been late November 2012... even though this time of year would be gorgeous, my husband and I didn't want to wait that long, it would have been a year and a half long engagement. We got engaged in April 2011 and for us it just felt right to tie the knot in/around 8-10 months, we didn't want to wait any longer than that. Jill was fantastic and suggested we scoop up a Saturday opening they had in December 2011. She told us about how beautiful Danada House looks at Christmas time. And boy, was she right! We booked a December wedding date and had no trouble envisioning a unique and gorgeous "winter wonderland" themed wedding. I could not be happier with my decision. On our wedding day, we were so excited to wake up to a beautiful and fresh veil of white snow... something we hadn't gotten yet that winter! The Danada House and Atrium looked incredible both inside and outside... especially with the fresh white snow. We had our ceremony in the atrium and I will never forget how incredible the view was out all of the windows... sparkling snow capped trees everywhere. Then after the ceremony the guests went into the house for hors d'oeuvres and drinks as the sun was setting... the fireplaces were glowing with fire and the guests were mingling in the cozy ambiance amidst several classically-decorated Christmas trees. Danada House did an AMAZING job decorating for the holidays... we didn't have to worry about a thing! The ladies that helped with the coat check were so friendly and kept checking in with my husband, family, and I to make sure it was all what we envisioned -- we were so appreciative of that! Jill came and gave me a big hug on my wedding day, she was so fantastic! Then, for the reception, guests made their way down the gorgeous windowed corridor/hallway to the atrium where it had been completely transformed for our reception. There were candles and lanterns and white twinkling Christmas lights everywhere. With all the glowing, dimly lit hanging pendulum lights in the atrium we felt like we were dancing under the stars! My guests are still raving - even now in February - about how my wedding was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to! The atrium was stunning! Our winter wonderland wedding was well beyond everything we hoped for, and I am certain it would not have been nearly as beautiful if we had not selected Danada House as our venue. The service was fantastic. It was a pleasure working with Jill. Picking Danada House was one of the best wedding decisions I made! My husband, family, and I still love to take walks at Danada and reminisce about our incredible wedding there. I am extremely disappointed in this venue's staff. I've tried to contact them on three occasions and received different responses stating available dates. I was very hopeful to have my wedding here, however, because no one is on the same page of availability dates (stating most are taken in 2013) and very ignorant when approached, I'll be taking my time and money elsewhere. read more

We had our wedding at the Danada House in August 2018. We chose the Danada House because it was more reasonably-priced than other locations we had looked at in the city, and because more was included in the rental price (such as the tables and chairs for the reception). We had both our wedding ceremony and reception on-site at the Danada House. We were able to book the venue well in advance of our wedding, and were able to easily re-negotiate how long we would be renting the space on the day (our original reservation had our rental time starting at 4PM, but we eventually changed the start time to 11AM). Jill and the other staff at the Danada House were very helpful and always answered our questions in a timely and professional manner. The success and enjoyment of our wedding were due in part to us choosing the Danada House. It's a beautiful venue for a wedding. We would definitely recommend the Danada House for weddings (both ceremony and reception). read more

We had our wedding reception here in August. It is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are very pretty and well kept. The house and atrium are both gorgeous. This is a very good place if you are looking to break out of the typical banquet halls and want something that is unique and that your guests will really remember!! read more

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Danada House one May 23, 2015. My husband and I agree that it was the perfect venue. We fell in love with the place after visiting in August 2013. We immediately put our name on the waiting list for May 2015 (yes, you really do need to put your name on the list 2 years in advance, especially for a Saturday night wedding). About 18 months before the wedding, we received a call asking us for a deposit to officially book our date. Over the next year and a half the women who run the Danada House (Jill, Kathy, and Laurie) were incredibly sweet, providing us with vendor recommendations and responding to all our questions in a timely manner. On the day of the wedding Laurie was phenomenal, helping the vendors set up, and even helping us pack up our belongings at the end of the night. The venue itself looked beautiful! There was another wedding before ours that day, but we couldn't tell at all; everything was set-up exactly was we discussed. The whole event flowed perfectly, beginning with our ceremony in the west garden, followed by cocktails in the house, and ending with the reception in the atrium. I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Danada House last weekend, and I couldn't have dreamed a better wedding. I was initially apprehensive since we had to have a Sunday wedding. This venue books FAST. There were only Sundays left a year and a half out, but I am so glad we went with the Danada House. The staff was amazing and helped make everything run smoothly. My Wife and I wanted to express our extreme happiness with Danada House in Wheaton, IL. Both our Wedding Ceremony and Reception took place at the Danada House and we are so thrilled to have such an important occasion take place at this beautiful venue. Our wedding took place in January, and the atrium looked gorgeous in the winter evening under the hanging lights. It had snowed a lot earlier in the day, but the property was well maintained for all our guests with regularly shoveled pathways and parking areas. I especially appreciated that the main coordinators of Danada House were the ones who stayed through the entire event to service the coat check for the guests and ensure everything went smoothly. We know Danada House is a highly sought after venue for weddings, and we were not disappointed in the slightest. read more

We had our July 17th wedding here this year and cannot say enough good things about it!! We first booked after visiting in January shortly after becoming engaged. Neither one of us had been there before but the pictures online looked lovely and we liked that we could have the ceremony and reception at the same venue. It was covered with snow when we first went, and while they were showing us the atrium a deer came up to the back through the woods and you could see it through the windows! SOLD! We came again in the spring and it was lovely, but then the week of our wedding when we came to set up it was AMAZING! Everything was in full bloom, even prettier than pictures! The bride's room is to die for, just a gorgeous place to set up in and made for THE BEST getting ready photos! The staff there is just wonderful and the vendors are amazing too (We used Chef by Request, whom we HIGHLY recommend for price and quality!) The price was very reasonable, especially since we had our wedding on a Thursday, which also gave us plenty of flexibility as to the time frame we were able to book and work with. We had an outdoor wedding, and they have a rain option of going inside the atrium, but the weather turned out amazing for our day. Long before the wedding I knew we'd picked the perfect place because whenever i told even complete strangers where we were having our wedding, if they were from the area they would sigh and get this far away happy look in their eyes and say "oh that place is just wonderful" and give a list of the events they've been to there and how amazing they were. All in all we had the perfect "Pintrest" wedding at the Dananda. When we booked it we couldn't even have imagined how perfect it was going to be. Everyone is still talking about it and telling us how beautiful it was two months later, as well as how convenient of a location it is. Several hotels in the area will shuttle your guests too and from the Danada for no extra cost if you reserve a wedding block with them. (We used Crowne Plaza in Lombard and our guests absolutely loved it). Highly, highly, highly recommend! read more

This is a 5 star review. The Danada House is an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding or any other party for which you want a very special place to have it in. The management there, specifically, Jill, Kathy and Lori, were so helpful and easy to work with. My daughter's winter wedding could not have been more beautiful. The home was decorated with holiday decor and gorgeous. The atrium has glass all around with a high pitched ceiling with beautiful sparkling tiny lights dropping individually from the ceiling. It felt as though we were dancing under the stars. We had the ceremony in the atrium then had our guests move into the home for hors d'oeuvres and drinks then once the atrium was turned over for the reception, our guests moved back into the atrium for dinner and dancing. We had about 170 guests and it worked perfectly. There was plenty of room for everyone. It felt warm and cozy during December and we had a dusting of snow which was perfect for the setting. Our caterer was LaCuisine out of Hinsdale. Linda Inzano, the owner, was fabulous to work with. My daughter had very specific ideas of what she wanted and Linda made sure they were all to my daughters' desires. Linda also shared many of her own ideas based on her experience which my daughter appreciated and incorporated making it an outstanding wedding. We couldn't have done it without Jill, Kathy, and Lori from Danada House and LInda from LaCuisine. Many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they've been to. The venue was great, the food delicious, service outstanding, and my daughter and son-in-law were very happy with how everything turned out. We could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding for our daughter!!! read more
