If I could negative I would. These people have ZERO customer service skills. Train your staff. They were rude and unaccomodating!!!

This review is LONG overdue! Have you ever had such an amazing experience working with someone that…read morefinding the right words to express how grateful/ thankful you are seem impossible? Thats how my husband and I have felt since our 5.18.2019 wedding! From the moment I met Amy I knew she was our wedding planner. After talking to almost every wedding planner in the greater chicagoland area I thought Amy is just too good to be true. So in true OCD crazy bride fashion I asked for references and previous brides to talk to about their experience. Amy did not even blink or make me feel totally insane which is a quality every bride should look for in a wedding planner. We thankfully chose the full planning package, because we were planning our Chicago wedding from across the country. Amy responded to every midnight email, every pacific coast phone call and never made us feel like we were alone. She kept us on budget and when we were going over budget she wasn't afraid to bring us back to reality. Amy negotiated all of our vendors and got us the best deals, I cannot stress this enough! Before Amy we were getting quoted 2-3x the costs, and for brides who hate to negotiate she was a God send. Amys wedding day timeline is better than any book or planning binder you can find, she really knows what she's talking about with a month to month breakdown that becomes like your checklist and makes sure to keep your wedding day timeline on track. Leading up to the wedding she was there to lead our rehearsal, take all of our "extra" last minute buys to incorporate into the decor, and she happily took the role of "bad guy" to nix any unwanted suggestions from our adoring family. She brought our dream wedding to life, flawlessly. She is the definition of a fairy wedding planner! If you are even considering her wedding planning service book now, I have no doubt in my mind that she will be the most highly sought after wedding planner. To this day we have family and friends that our wedding was the funnest wedding they have ever attended. We honestly owe those compliments to Amy and her meticulous planning and attention to detail. From one OCD bride to another book now you will be forever grateful that you did. Thank you Amy & team from the bottom of our hearts we will never be able to express how amazing you are! (sorry its taken us over a year to write this we love you tons!)

I definitely do not recommend nor want anyone to ever be put in this situation: I just wanted to write and let you know how disappointed I was with the flowers that were delivered to our wedding on September 10th. I completely understand you were down a person due to an emergency. However, the flowers selected for the event happened during the week and were drastically different than discussed and from what was outlined in our contract. The contract stated there would be burgandy dahlia's in my boquet and burgandy poms in the bridesmaids boquets. There was nothing burgandy represented. There were however red roses. Red roses definitely did not match the event nor what we discussed in our previous two meetings. I was put in a position where on my wedding day, I had to ask myself 'would I rather take photographs with no flowers or with flowers that do not match the tux's or the dresses of the wedding party?' This in my opinion is a horrible position to be in. Beyond the flowers not be the correct type or color that was discussed, the quality of the flower was poor. By the time the ceremony was over the flowers on the tux's were completely not intact. I am hopeful that photographs will not highlight this. I never wish the feeling I had on my wedding day on another bride. Sincerely, Jessica

Sue, the owner of Petals, is amazing. I'm a big Disney lover and I wanted to have a subtle Disney…read moretheme to the wedding. My idea was to have different elements of the wedding represent various princess movies, in a classy way. Sometimes Disney weddings can come off as tacky, and that was the last thing I wanted. I love garden flowers and roses, so I wanted to use those in our bouquets and then for the centerpieces, I wanted to represent the movie Beauty and the Beast. When I met with Sue for the initial consultation, I had the beginnings of an idea for centerpieces, which involved a rose under a glass dome, flowers in teapots, and candelabras. Sue was able to flesh out my ideas into something that was beautiful beyond words. My mom and I talked with another florist before meeting Sue, and that person treated my idea like the work in being creative wasn't worth the effort and she'd rather just put expensive flowers in a pretty vase. She wasn't excited to be doing something different. Sue, on the other hand, looked like she'd been stuck by creative lightening once she understood my idea and made me feel like it was the best idea she'd ever heard. Whether or not that was the case, it still meant a lot to me that she was willing to go the distance and think out of the box in order to help me achieve my vision for the wedding. Everything was beautiful and I couldn't have been happier with how all the flowers turned out. The teapots were featured as both aisle decorations in the ceremony and centerpieces at the reception. We had a floral archway that perfectly framed my husband and I in many of the photos. My bouquet, the bridesmaids' bouquets, and the boutonnieres were exactly how I wanted them. And the Beauty and the Beast centerpieces stole the show. In a word, they were elegant. In case it's not obvious, I highly recommend Sue (and Petals) for anyone who wants a florist who is dedicated, creative, and produces beautiful floral arrangements.

Right away we knew she was the right fit for us. She took the time to get to know us before we contracted, so both sides knew what they were getting into. We met frequently and every time I came away feeling more and more prepared for the day. She brought things up I wouldn't have even considered, she helped give advice but never pushed. On the day of the wedding I didn't have to think about anything but what was happening in the moment. A truly precious gift. Kristen and her assistant really went above and beyond. The day truly felt like us. Thank you Kristen for being a rock for us throughout everything!! My sister (and MOH) is a day-of coordinator herself, as is a close friend from college, and both of them strongly suggested I do it - they made the point that most venue coordinators only really care about their operations and place of business, and their main focus is not your details. I am SO GLAD I took their advice, and so glad I came across Abryanna. At the point I hired her, she had done just a few weddings, but from her professionalism and sunny demeanor, it was obvious she was meant for this. She provided great insight and advice throughout the process, and I appreciate her work for my new husband and I. Her biggest value truly came the wedding day, though. She kept everything running smoothly, finalized venue setup while we were all in hair/makeup, and headed up the team effort to put out a rather large fire just before the ceremony, and kept the flames at bay during the reception. That last part was invaluable to me, as it was a worry throughout the planning year that came true, even though no one believed me it would. I had expressed this concern to Abryanna, and she was prepared. I HIGHLY recommend her services as a coordinator, and if you aren't organized and "with -it," she offers full planning as well!

Most bowling alleys (if not part of a chain, ie Brunswick), have a dreary vibe to them - dark, dank and unkempt - but not here. We arrived at 1pm for the birthday party, and all of the lanes were already busy. You can tell that this business books a lot of parties - and I can see why! The price per person for parties is fantastic! They have multiple tiers of both children and adult parties, as well as corporate and fundraising events. We had chicken fingers and pizza, and both were better than you'd expect at a bowling alley. The party even had a coordinator; he kept the time very on track, and was very accommodating. I'd definitely recommend Plainfield Lanes as a local outing or party spot!

On the other hand, this place is also a little more high end compared to your old fashion bowling/dive bar places. The location was very easy to find. We used Google Navigation and it lead us directly to the place. If you miss the entrance, it might be a little annoying to backtrack but no big issues. Parking was no issues and it is very big compared to the size of the building. We showed up on a busy Wednesday where it is penny pins so you only pay a penny per pin you knock down. Essentially...the worst you are, the cheaper your game will be. Inside the building is very nice and clean. There are two entrances..one is a "restaurant" and the other is the decent sized arcade and bowling. There is a self serving beer tap. And they do serve food. They do a little star less due to the prices of the food as well. It is better than your traditional bar/bowling food but it is a little more expensive. Also, I do enjoy the service of the self serving beer tap. They had a lot of selections of beer, 1-2 seltzers, 1 cider and ~5 wine selection. Also, they do have a "limit" of ~32 oz where the bartender can allow you or less depending on how you act. I do appreciate that so while you can drink feely, no one is getting drunk. I think we were paying ~.60 cents an oz and it does tell you how much your drink will cost as you are pouring. Also, they do have a small water station will is greatly appreciated. The arcade is decently sized. They do have a lot of selections of games but it is not a place where I would go just for the arcade. The size is good for after bowling or while you are waiting for your lane. Overall, I am very impressed with this location. Food, self serving beer tap, and arcades... I am fan of Twisted Pins and I would be back in the future.
