I stopped by the Damm House Cafe on NH 26 in Errol recently, on the way to skiing. This cafe is located at The Damm House Inn inside a farmhouse, which offers breakfast and lunch including breakfast sandwiches, hot & cold sandwiches/subs, wraps, soups, salads, quiche, baked goods, bagels, cold drinks in the cooler, and coffee drinks with coffee from Carrabassett Coffee Co. There's also heat and serve entrees available too. The place is order at the counter and there is table seating and armchair seating in cafe. They also have grab & go hot sandwiches in the heated case and cold sandwiches in the cooler or they can make any sandwich to order. For takeout, I got a plastic wrapped ready made Italian Sub ($10.95 plus tax) and a made to order Breakfast Sandwich ($5.99 plus tax) with egg, cheese, bacon on a toasted croissant. I already had hot coffee in the vehicle from a previous stop. The breakfast croissant sandwich was very tasty and just enough for a quick breakfast. The Italian Sub, which had black forest ham, salami, pepperoni, onions, black olives, peppers, pickles, cheese, oil & spices on a firm white sub roll. I ate the sub later before I headed up the slopes on a wet snowy day.

From the moment you walk into Gemini, you know you're in for something special. This bakery-café…read morehas quickly become one of my favorite destinations I'd happily drive hours just to visit again. The breads and pastries here are absolutely outstanding. Their Anadama bread was rich and flavorful, with a perfect crust and texture that kept me coming back for more, and the sourdough bagels were simply too good to pass up ; crisp outside, chewy inside, and full of character. Every bite feels like a celebration: flaky pastries, artisanal naturally leavened bread, and thoughtful flavor combinations that make it a true bakery destination. The coffee pairs beautifully with the baked goods -- and they even sell locally roasted coffee from a woman-owned roaster in nearby Greenwood, which adds a wonderful Maine-made touch to the experience. Service is warm and friendly, and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes you want to sit down with a latte and savor every last bite. If you ever find yourself in Bethel, this gem of a bakery is absolutely worth the trip -- it's one of those places that leaves you already planning your next visit.

Having a condo down the street, we love coming in for lattes. Always amazing…read more I will say my 1 big complaint is you have so many things with Almonds. We have a lot of tree nut allergies in the family and wish there were options with no tree nuts. Place is super cute, staff is always friendly, just so many items with tree nuts.
