I couldn't see out of them. She brushed it off as a headache or fluctuating blood sugar. Since then, I've tried 3 more times to get them fixed, and they say someone will call but no one has! I'm furious! UPDATE: I've gone back and they are trying to help me get the correct prescription.

My husband went here for an eye exam in February 2023 and was not only told "your insurance isn't…read morethat good" (verbatim; which is also my insurance - we have Eyemed, which it may not be "that good" because it covers 30% of everything plus free exam & free imaging), which is demeaning, but their billing person billed our HSA in full without running the insurance first. My husband had to call back in to get it refunded and they said they will do it when the frames come in, just bring in the HSA card, which was fine. The reason why I gave 2 stars now is after I saw the receipt of the refund - I noticed the exam was charged in full and not $0 co-pay like it should be. I called into Eyemed benefits and confirmed on the website that it was $0 before calling back into Sullivan Eye Care. When I called in, the front desk clerk seemed a bit off and when she transferred me to the insurance biller, I let the insurance biller know, calmly, that I noticed they charged my husband in full for an eye exam and it should've been $0 co-pay. She started off by saying "your insurance is not that great" and "don't tell me what should be free, young man". Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I paused and had to say, "excuse me...?" and "your business over-billed me incorrectly 20 days ago, credited some back, and I still have issues with the bill" - she stated she will look at it and will "rebill" the insurance, then hung up on me. UPDATE: Added another star - I called in 30 min later to the front desk and inquired on how I would be notified if I needed credited and was concerned about the insurance biller's "rebill" reference. They were going to transfer me back to the insurance biller but I let them know how rude and unhelpful she was - front desk stated they would get more info and call me back. 30 Min later she called back and admitted they shouldn't have charged for the exam and refraction because it was covered by my insurance and they offered to refund it. If anyone goes here, make SURE they bill your insurance first AND your bill is correct. Outside of this, my husband stated they were friendly and nice during his visit.

My wife and I went in for a routine and yearly regular eye exam at Clarkson Eyecare in Union, MO…read moreearly July. I stated I was having no issues with my eyes on the paperwork as well as in person when asked. We both have VSP and thought the exam would be covered accordingly. However I received an invoice from Clarkson stating I owed $50. My wife did not receive an invoice for her exam. When we stopped into the Clarkson office, they told us my wife's visit was covered under VSP but mine was submitted under a medical visit. When we asked why, there were a number of reasons like I didn't order glasses on the day of visit. So I had to pay the $50 deductible because it was billed as a medical visit. We pay good money for VSP and could not even use it for me. The office staff argued with us and kept changing the story. I would expect my visit would be run through VSP and not my medical insurance, and my $50 be returned. Then I was charged $39 for both eye pictures that I was not notified this was not covered. I don't get it. First and last time at Clarkson.

I told them I don't have that kind of money. no offer to help me find anything less, so i took my business to Americas Best. Americas Best got 2 pairs for 535.00. Guess what the script Clarkson gave me was wrong for my eyes. Did they get mad when I said I was taking my business elsewhere or did not do the script right in the first place. My granddaughter has been using them and always complains about not being able to see for a few weeks, they say you just have to get used to them.

I would not recommend this office simply because of wait time. I scheduled this appointment on…read moreTuesday and was given a 10:10 appointment time on Friday. I was asked to come in early for new patient paperwork. I arrived at 10. At 11:05, I had still not been seen, given an explanation or new estimated time, or even simply apologized to for wait time... When I asked the secretary about my appointment, all she could tell me was that she had my appointment time marked as 10:30. I followed up by asking if she knew if I'd be seen soon. She just told me that no one had grabbed my chart yet. I work in the city, and needed to be back at work by 1pm. I weighed my options and realized I had to leave. I took off a half day at work to make this appointment. It was a suggested follow up for an eye infection. This wasn't an eye exam I can do another time. I left so frustrated. I felt like it was very reflective of how they prioritize patient time. In summary, if you'd like to spend your PTO at an office that doesn't give you the correct appointment time and also expects you to wait 30-1hour this is your office. Wish I could comment on the actual care provided, didn't experience it myself. If I had, I wouldn't have had more than ten minutes with the doctor.

Long story short after 2 separate visits and given a prescription which was 100% wrong. My daughter could see even less wearing the glasses. We were told to take her somewhere else. It's like they just wanted to bill our insurance twice. Because now that I'm asking insurance for another evaluation LensCrafters doesn't respond to the first 2 letters and with just a couple days left of their window to respond/ dispute they request to be sent over the paper work again. Pushing my daughter reevaluation out longer than the normal 30 day period. They made the mistake. They told us to go somewhere else.
