A beautiful venue with fantastic acoustics, awesome programs and friendly staff - it's always a good time at the DSO. There is a minor need for some interior updates, but overall I always enjoy myself.

I am attending the WRR Classical radio station's 100th Anniversary program. It's complimentary and you can't beat a free concert!! The music is wonderful. I'm hoping they'll also perform Stairway to Heaven. It was an enjoyable experience and they're having a get together afterwards to celebrate 100 years of existence. I feel more cultured now. I can hold my nose a little higher !!

Went to see Daniil Trifonov's recital. Beautiful concert hall. Loved the acoustics. Easy to park.

Bravo! An ensemble of dedicated and talented musicians we have here in our Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Riveting classical, enchanting modern, and, exhilarating contemporary pieces. At times, visual projections and/or choirs are included for an enhanced experience. Yet, it's the beautiful music filling the I.M. Pei's perfectly designed hall which fills our minds and hearts long after the concert. CHEERS!

Star Wars in concert!

Despite having a particular taste for modern progressive metal core, I must say that we have had nothing but rousingly positive experiences with the DSO since we discovered it few years ago! Our first concert was a whim on my part, a way of surprising my gf (who is a painter) with a new creative, artistic experience. For $18 tickets we were treated to a Friday evening event that included some original video pieces along with works by Mozart, Brahms and other classical composers in the Dallas Performance Hall. The music was beautiful, the performers engaging and entertaining, and the ticket included a voucher for a cocktail beforehand and some snacks. We enjoyed ourselves immensely! Since then, we've attended two Movie In Concert events at the Meyerson (Jurassic Park and Star Wars: A New Hope) in which the symphony performed the soundtrack of the film live while the movie was presented on a large screen. The music was breathtaking, both of these John Williams soundtracks being at the very top of my list (I'm waiting for The Empire Strikes Back). In particular, the 1977 recording of A New Hope suffers from the micing and mixing tech of the day and was truly fresh and impactful to experience live. We arrived early for A New Hope and found tables set up with light appetizers and a limited bar available. The Meyerson is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy a snack. We are returning for a New Years Eve concert and I'm sure will be back many times. We are fans for life!

Kings Of Soul Concert for our anniversary
Alena S.

We absolutely love coming to the symphony! We have attended several shows and they have all been amazing. The most recent performance we saw was 'Kings Of Soul'. It was our anniversary and Carla Ewing at the Will Call desk helped us find the most amazing seats. She had the biggest smile and made us feel so special. We encourage all of our friends to go to the Symphony at least once. You just can't explain how awesome the experience is until you've seen & heard it for yourself.

I gave up my precious ticket in wake of COVID19 outbreak

Stupid, senseless columnist The reason I couldn't make to go the concert even though I had a ticket was that the stupidest columnist that wrote "An elegantly structured Dallas Symphony program, but performances weren't the best" after he attending the Friday concert 'GEMMA NEW CONDUCTS GARRICK OHLSSON PIANO.' Right now COVID19 pandemic, outbreaking all of the world, people are so careful to attending concert or worship at the church, governments encourage us just stay at home, useless outing is not good this time. However, people love music and buy tickets, and musicians do their best toward the audiences even though all frighten and fear around us. But the senseless columnist at Dallas Morning News wrote negative story as people and musicians need to read positive and kind stories to get encouraged. He is the dumbest writer even he has stupid knowledges of some music. That's why I've canceled the subscribe on Dallas Morning News as I couldn't go to the concert. And COVID19 is no one's fault. The Bible said "Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net,     or birds are taken in a snare, so people are trapped by evil times     that fall unexpectedly upon them.(Ecclesiastes 9:12) Hang in there, Dallas Symphony musicians. You're the best!!!

Shame on you for being understaffed, 45 minutes in line. Air Conditioning not acceptable. This is a beautiful venue but I had to leave and go home to site in the A/C

Seating time before the performance. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Always a great experience. 3

I've been coming here since I was a little kid. I love it and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. My mom used to bring me to enjoy the performances. Any chance she had to buy tickets, she'd take it. It's what made me interested in joining music classes all throughout my time in school. My school was named after one of their donors and I remember always being invited to see performances for our field trips. I still have a book they gave us that had a great amount of information about what it takes to make an orchestra. That's how awesome my memories of the DSO are. I love seeing the many performances and now I get to see a few of my friends that made it into the DSO opera perform. I can't wait to see what's next. They always have great programs to enjoy.

Krystal T.

I think symphony but hear opera and for the longest though the two were linked. A symphony online has music from an orchestra. The comedy symphony orchestra program we saw was hilarious and even more so because I wasn't expecting it to be! I can't believe I'm just now exploring this option. Well, it did help that I was given four tickets and came with friends. I'd definitely come again in the future!

My Wife and I celebrated Christmas Eve with a Jazz Ensemble performed by the Cyrus Chesnut Trio. Such an amazing performance and experience.

Perfect date night!! Me and a girlfriend got dressed up and enjoyed the Our World Nat Geo tour. The entire evening was amazing. They incorporated love videos of the animals and planet earth. The choir was perfect. Everything about the experience was beautiful. They do offer drinks in the lobby before, during intermission, and after. There's a restaurant across the street. There is garage parking for roughly about $15 cash or valet in front for $25 card or cash.

Jim L.

This is probably my favorite place in downtown Dallas. Whether you see the orchestra or not, the small park around the building is awesome to take a rest. For sure, the music of the orchestra is very good and make happy. Definitely recommend to visit!

Although they offered seating down low, it was constantly rotating on availability depending on the performers. If I wanted to find a seat, I could have. I mostly stood near the bar which wasn't too crowded since it was an all ages event. After standing there for about 2 hours, they did ask us to move to the end of the bar for potential customers .. there never really were more than 3 people ordering at a time, but we still moved. We got tall boy White Claws and it was the perfect sipper drink. The lighting and sound was good for the experience here and they had plenty of vantage points (including a VIP upper floor). Security wasn't bad, I didn't bring a bag, so I breezed through. There's a large parking structure right behind the TBF, so walking over was very easy too. We did initially have handicap people in our group who opted not to attend after we shared that the surrounding sidewalks were not very level and that the amount of people might be a little tricky for navigating with a walker. All in all though, I had a great time here!

I was performing on a Saturday night & this was my first time playing in Dallas (I DJ). The whole staff was nice, really nice. They took care of me & everyone else on the bill. They have a nice patio out back with a high enough fence that no one could see me from the outside looking in. The place was spacious, I like how the tables were along the side wall while across is the bar + bar seating. In-between where the open floor sits the stage platformed high against a back wall. The sound was really good & they left the car garage looking doors up, which caught attention from those who were walking by outside. I enjoyed myself that night. I'll always come back, even when I'm not DJing. What I also enjoyed were the number of TVs on deck playing plenty of college football(this was the night of OU vs UT). That's a bonus for me when it comes to a bars + venues because I really like sports & to have options whenever it's present.

The venue has good sound quality with an open stage and room for standing. The show was fun and as always, the bands brought the energy and good vibes.
